About Us
Netherton Methodist Church serves the Netherton area of Wishaw and is located on the main road (map here). The worshiping community is a gathered congregation bringing together local people and Methodists from other parts of Lanarkshire including Carluke, Hamilton and Motherwell.
Worship
The main worship takes place on a Sunday morning at 10.45 followed by tea/coffee and a time of fellowship. Prayer and Bible study meetings take place throughout the week with specific acts of worship taking place during Advent and Holy week.

Activities
The church is keen to serve the community and offers several opportunities throughout the week for people of all ages to meet. The church is home to thriving Boys and Girls Brigade companies. The Boys Brigade runs on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7.00 until 9pm and is open to boys aged 5 and up. Captain Michael or Mrs Mary Allan can be contacted on these evenings for more information. Recruiting for the new session take place on Friday 2nd September 2011.

All sections of the Girls Brigade meet on a Thursday evening from 5.30 until 9pm. Please speak to Captain Sheena Glenny or any of the officers on the evening for more information.
Both Companies rely on volunteers and if you are interested in working with young people we would like to hear from you.
On Saturday mornings (10am-1pm) throughout the year the members of the church provide a cafe for people in the community to meet and socialise and provide a friendly face and a listening ear.
Claire Chalmers leads keep fit classes run in the church on Tuesday eveing from 7.30-9pm and a Thursday morning from 10.30-12.
On a Tuesday morning from 10-12 the Craft Club meets to create a range of craft items, with a strong suit in card making. The group is always looking for new members and if you're interested in arts and crafts and looking for something new to do - and to make new friends - then you would be very welcome.
