About Us
New Stevenston Methodist Church can be found on Jerviston Street (map here). The church was opened in 2002, replacing an older building. The worshiping community is a gathered congregation bringing together local people and Methodists from other parts of North Lanarkshire including Airdrie and Bellshill.
Worship
The main worship takes place on a Sunday morning at 11.30am followed by tea/coffee and a time of fellowship. Other meetings take place throughout the week with specific acts of worhsip taking place during Advent and Holy week.
Activities
The church is keen to serve the community and offers several opportunites throught the week for people of all ages to meet. The Welcome Break lunch on Fridays (Noon til 2.30pm) offers food and a welcoming place for everyone in the community to come together to share life's stories.
The 1st Jerviston Company of the Girls Brigade meets in the church from 6.45pm on Friday evenings, led by Captain Marina Lyle. The GB is open to girls from Primary 1 and above.
The church supports a Boys Brigade company that meets in Victoria Primary School, Airdrie, led by Captain David Lawson. The BB also meet on a Friday evening and is open to boys from Primary 1 and above.
