It's snowing and blowing a gale outside so it must be time to think about Holiness and Risk again!
It is hard to believe it is two years since our snowy launch in Dunblane and we are busy planning another day event in the New Year on February 25 th 2012.
The day event is for all who interested in Holiness and Risk, especially for those who came to early events and might be interested in hearing how the journey has unfolded. We will have the usual mix of sharing stories and resources, inspiring worship, workshops, food and laughter together, all focussed on supporting and challenging our personal journeys of discipleship here in Scotland.
Here are some of the things people have said about previous events: ‘H and R encourages people to look at the way they live their Christian life on a daily basis, not only on a Sunday'; ‘Good to be with like-minded people' and ‘this has been encouraging and renewing.' Come and join us and explore what might God be calling you to do in your community in 2012!
We can't get in at the Cathedral or the Halls in Dunblane this time, so we've moved to Nicolson Square in Edinburgh which is near Waverley Station for better public transport (and we can make sure it is warm and toasty!). We will start with coffee at 11am and begin properly at 11.30am . We will end at 3.45pm .
Please make a note of the date and return the booking form to Fiona if you can attend. We can pay for overnight accommodation for anyone travelling from a distance or arrange hospitality with Methodist friends in Edinburgh. Please let us know. Your travel costs will also be reimbursed.
As we all know, arranging events in Scotland in February can be fun - this is where the risk bit comes in! In the case of bad weather, a decision will be made by the Planning Group about cancelling at 9am on Thursday 23 rd February. This will then be emailed to you immediately and hopefully will keep us all safe.
