    1. **3.5 Stars**Cute, if not a little cheesy, start to the series. Though, it was like I was dumped into the middle of their story. I'm going to have to go back and find the one where they actually meet and formed a bond. I missed that. Nate was a riot and I'm sure he'll play a big part in the other stories. Lord knows, there's a bunch of them.

    2. Still not sure what to think of the m/m/m but i did like the story and the characters just not sure one the 3-way relationship. it felt kind of like it was Nate and Rio with an occasional side of Ryan

    3. When I started this story, I felt like I wasn't starting a new series, but was dropped in the middle of a book. Thanks to a couple of friends who explained that I really needed to read the series before this, more specifically Rawley's Redemption, I put this aside, read the Good Boys Series and then continued with this one. It made this story much more enjoyable when you know how this threesome came together. While I like the concept of this series, and this is not bad start, there was not too m [...]

    4. Cattle Valley is a community that is largely gay. The town is one of the most accepting on the planet and that appeals to Ryan, Nate, and Rio. The three men have been in a relationship together and are hoping Cattle Valley's residents will be more open to it than their hometown. Only when they get there, Nate discovers that even Cattle Valley has its problems.Starting with the basics - the story was definitely interesting and I did enjoy reading it. I didn't spot any major grammar mistakes that [...]

    5. I'm not a massive fan of series' that go on and on I prefer about 3 or 4 books at the most because after a while I think it gets a bit too samey but I must admit even though this is what I class as a lightweight more sex than substance story I really do like the 3 main guys, Nate in particular. So to be honest thats why it gets 4. Just for the enjoyment factor and also because the three of them together are pretty hot! * Sniggers* This is the second time round so there you go!

    6. When I started reading gay romance, this was one of the first series I came across. I loved the story about the fictional city of Cattle Valley with its huge gay population and the 3 guys Nate, Rio and Ryan moving there. I read all 30+ parts of the series and it was especially nice, that many of the main characters were regulars and would appear again in other parts of the series- probably something like your daily soap were the setting and the people get familiar.Somehow I came across the serie [...]

    7. More like 3.5 StarsLike many fellow GR reviewers, I felt a little overwhelmed at first. It seems that these guys met in a previous bookwhich one??? I seem to be missing some puzzle pieces here. The premise is good although the execution is lacking a little. Rio and Ryan are an established couple and they decide to add Nate to the mix. The triad chemistry is pretty hot but I like more foreplay and sensuality to my porn. The sex scenes could have been more intense and detailed.I didn't really go fo [...]

    8. I felt lost at the beginning, it all seemed so rushed. I did some research and understood that the three protagonists come from a book of a different series. I wish there were a little bit more background story, especially because this is the first book of a new series. I felt abandoned and I couldn't connect with the characters because I think I was missing the most important part of the story: WHY they got together and WHY Ryan and Rio didn't agree on bringing Nate into their relationship at t [...]

    9. I LOVE re-reading these! I'm not usually a liker of menage's but these three made it work. They were all three perfect together, I have a feeling I"m going to re=read this entire series again now!I love, love, love Nate, Rio and RyanThey moved to Cattle Valley when Ryan got offered a job as a Sherrif there. Its the most accepting place, and I wish it really existed. In this one, once there, Nate and Rio have a hard time figuring out what hey should be doing all the while missing their busier than [...]

    10. 2.5 starsI had a hard time rating this because on one hand, it was horrible. And on the other hand, I kind of enjoyed it. ??? Guilty pleasure indeed.I would liken this to a really raunchy episode of Barney & Friends. Overly simple, extremely unrealistic, everyone loves everyone and ah, happily ever after. I'm surprised there wasn't any handholding and singing at the end. But I guess a dirty three-way on the kitchen table is pretty much the same thing?

    11. Not a bad start to the series. The threesomes characters were interesting and HOT! Not much emotional angst or plot, but a good, easy fun read.

    13. The characters, Rio, Ryan and Nate are first introduced in another series by the author so I kind of felt like I had missed a book when I first started reading this because they were already established at the beginning of this book and on their way to Cattle Valley, Wyoming so that Ryan could start his new job as sheriff of the predominantly gay town. And yes, "they" as in m/m/m. Despite that, I quickly fell into the story. All three guys are wonderful characters and absolutely loveable. They'v [...]

    14. Sorry to say I didn't like this one very much. First, and foremost, although it's the first in a series, the author dropped us into the middle of a relationship and didn't provide the background for it until giving bits and pieces later in the story. I kept doublechecking to be sure it was first in a series because I felt like I had missed a huge chunk of the story, namely the beginning of their relationship. Finally, after I read some of the GR reviews I realized these characters were introduce [...]

    15. According to the title this is the first book in the series but apparently these guys were introduced before in another series. Had I known, I would have read Good-Time Boys first. Therefore my reaction when Ryan and Rio rescued Nate and after their first night together they are saying "I love you" to each other. I was like "WTF?????"I really liked Nate the best out of the threesome. Having recently read More I wished Nate wasn't the only bottom in the relationship. Yes he topped Rio once but lo [...]

    16. 2nd readI really enjoyed the first book in this series. Nate was a force to be reckoned with. He's definitely the center of Rio and Ryan's universe. He's caring, charismatic, stylish, manipulative when he wants to get his way, and not someone you want to physically mess with. Ryan and Rio were interchangeable characters to me. I couldn't keep them separate in my head mainly because of their size and that their names both begin with R. But loved them just the same. Their constant need to keep him [...]

    17. 2.5 stars. Don't get me wrong, I liked it but I felt a little out of place not having read the prior story involving this trio. And there was too much sex and not enough depth. The characters were very enjoyable though and I could tell that they each had their own separate and unique personalities. I just would have liked to seen a little bit more of them shine through. I like the concept of Cattley Valley even though it's absolutely fairytale like and not realistic. Hell, if it was I would move [...]

    18. A nice intro to the Cattle Valley series. Thin on plot (as expected of a Carol Lynne) but has that "comfort-read" tone I go to a Lynne M/M book for. It's predictable, as all comfort-reads are, and when I finished this first installment, I looked forward to the second one.Nate and Rio sound very familiar to me though I can't think of which book I came across them. I thought it was one of the Men in Love titles but another poster said they are from Rawley's Redemption - which I have but haven't re [...]

    19. This book is the starting point for the most amazing series There are a few fumbles in the story line, but the characters are so beautifully created. The Setting is brilliant (being Cattle Valley). and the story irons it's self out for the most part. I'm not sure I can picture myself in this type of relationship, but god they work so well together. The series it's self get's better as you read on - I'm only up to book 13 but all I can say is - DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR!!

    20. I was really confused at first. It opens up practically with one of they getting drugged and sick, but hey let's have our first unprotective sex now! I liked the guys. I think if I had read a bit of back story first I may have really liked this one. I was just missing the connection. Sure they had lots of sex, but that doesn't always rate connection wise. Loved the gay friendly town. I'll have to see what the next books are about.

    21. I love this whole series, but this is the one book I come back to over and over again. Carol Lynne has a way with her writing that I can easily follow and pick up when I have to put it down. I have read just about all of her books and love all of them. Cattle Valley Series is my favorite by far. I always look forward to what will come next. All in all if you want to read something that you can relate to on some level then this series is definitely one to read.

    22. A bit confusing as we join Rio, Nate and Ryan already in a relationship and making a big move to another town. There isn't much of a plot for the story. Just a bunch of situations put together so that the men can have lots of sex and occasionally introducing future main characters later in the series. It's alright but I'm not feeling much for the series so far. I love my guilty pleasure books but this hasn't turned out to be one yet.

    23. Rio, Ryan and Nate will always be my favorites. I love that they're relationship is still new but it's like Rio & Ryan have been with Nate forever, I love their interactions, an not just the sex ones. Happy they're all prominent in the rest of the series. PS Rio is my guy.

    24. Got a quick flash back of how these guys meet but would have liked a bit more on Rio and Ryan as well but overall a nice sweet romance with a bit of a mystery wrapped in there 2 will be reading more in the series!!!

    25. Yum!! Nate, Ryan and Rio. Hot, adorable and funny :) love the town and the introduced characters, great start to the series!

    26. I've had this book forever and I don't know why it took me so long to read it. I love these kinds of stories, they're total comfort reads to me; hot men, great setting and low on angst. When I need a book to read that I can easily sink into and not have to think about too hard this is my jam. :D I really enjoyed all three main characters; I thought they were good together though I do wish I'd gotten more of the background on how they met and not just when Nate was added into Ryan and Rio's relat [...]

    27. All Play and No Work is the first book in the Cattle Valley series. It stars Ryan Blackfeather, Nate Gills, and Rio. The story is told in third person through all three mens’ povs, but mainly from Nate’s.(view spoiler)[Cattle Valley is a town that is predominately occupied by LGBTQ individuals and their families. Ryan has moved there first and serves as the Sheriff. Nate and Rio are new arrivals with nothing to do yet and the story unfolds as the three men reconnect and a situation arises th [...]
