    1. Lovely story. Realistic, thoughtful, absolutely devoid of vacuous glitter kink--but f*ck, depressing. While the actual story is solid and invests the reader, the diary entry style of writing has never been a favorite of mine. It's not the confessional tone, but rather the summary of it that forces a degree of separation.

    2. Pet Rescue marks the return of John Fell, McGinley’s quite popular Dom character. This story takes place six months after Pet Sitting, and John has become Dr. Fell. Although he is not homeless thanks to inheriting a cabin from his deceased mother, John is broke and must work as an adjunct teacher of English composition to survive. It is an understatement to say that John is not happy about this situation. John is stuck in his life, still grieving for his submissive lover Rob who was brutally k [...]

    3. First of all I finish this one in only a day so it's clear that I liked it but still I have the feeling that this story will make me feel a lot sad in the future.Lost and Found is an ongoing series about Dr Fell, John. He is a Dom without pet. His former and true pet was killed during a gay bashing and since then Dr Fell lives without a real meaning in his life. He sometime trains other pets for their too tender Dom, but he is not ready to start again with a real D/S relationship. Then John finds [...]

    4. A great D/s series featuring a Dom who is not some absurdly rich guy. He has bills to pay and not enough money to pay them -- an ordinary, everyday sort of Dom. Thus, the appeal of the series to me, although admittedly the secondary character Doms are all wealthy professionals. This is Jamie's story with Dr. Fell, a boy who's been horrifically abused. For those who must have the traditonal HEA (or even the non-traditional one, he he he), you won't find it here, but the characters really grow and [...]

    5. This book felt real. The story of Dr. Fell and Jamie is something that you can see happening in the BDSM culture. I enjoyed getting to know Dr. Fell with all his bad moods, emotional memories and his pride. It was nice to finally meet a Dom who's average. He has bills and everyday problems just like the rest of us. I loved that that he helped Jamie, but that he recognized that he wasn't ready to be with him yet. I also enjoyed reading about Ben and Charlie again and was pleased that they got the [...]

    6. This is the second Dr. Fell story that I have read and I am really starting to understand the guy. His background and history are slowly being told, even as we learn about Jamie, the young sub who Dr. Fell 'rescues' and helps in this story. I wish that these stories were longer and went into more detail. Now that I know that I like them and want to read more, I am going to buy The Complete Dr. Fell Volume I: Lost because buying them, and reading them in bits and pieces is frustrating.

    7. It was so good, I was blinking back tears at the end. (view spoiler)[when he tells Jamie, "you can't be him" - oh man that was lovely (hide spoiler)] Really beautifully written and I loved how the author dealt with all of John Fell's issues over Rob and blended them into his relationship with Jamie and his abuse.
