    1. Stephen Fry Narrates Sherlock HolmesThe Characters Come To LifeThe Different Voices Are AmazingHighly Recommend

    2. Amazing narration of (mostly) amazing stories. This is a great listen and a splendid investment of one 15-dollar Audible credit:) It's wonderful to get to reread Sherlock Holmes mysteries for the first time since secondary school and to find them still gripping and cool. Also, Fry's prefaces to each volume is a delight.

    3. I just love Sherlock Holmes and it was great to be able to set back and listen to Stephen Fry reading these stories and also given us some interesting information about the tales and Arthur Conan Doyle own private thoughts

    4. I did it! I finished!I listened to this collection on audiobook and I must say, it was a great experience. The narrator was Stephen Fry, and his narration is just wonderful!Sadly, I didn't jot down which stories I liked over others, and they would be too many to recap anyway, so I'll just say a few words about the collection as a whole:I really liked it! I'm glad I finally read this classic of its genre and I'm also happy I read them on audiobook, as I don't know for sure if I would've powered m [...]

    5. Between fact and fiction is a space where legend dwells. It is where Holmes and Watson will always live. ~ Stephen FryAlmost 72 glorious hours spent listening to the wonderful Stephen Fry bring Holmes and Watson to life can hardly be considered a waste of time. His love for these stories is so palpable, it makes even the most boring case a delight to listen to! I also really loved his personal introductions which sometimes explained the role Holmes has played in his own life, or philosophized on [...]

    6. It's not quite complete (the "Casebook" is omitted), but this is the best and liveliest narration of the Sherlock Holmes stories and novels I've ever heard. Stephen Fry does a brilliant job of it, and his introductions are fascinating.

    7. This here is a true literary classic! The Sherlock Holmes collection of novels and short stories is in it's entirety, a work of art. This massive audio-collection of 72 hours includes all of Holmes's stories, and a true delight to listen to. Especially so because of the added context and flare given by narrator Stephen Fry (who in his own right is a SH fan). In short this is an almost mandatory example of quality literature for any old school detective stories. Ps.As a side note I would like to a [...]

    8. All of Sherlock Holmes - 72 hours with Steven Fry. Loved it! But I did cheat a bit, taking breaks with others books, as this is a heavy meal to go through in one sitting.

    9. 2435 pages or in audio book, 71 hrs 58 mins. Let’s call it 72 hours. All four novels and five short story collections.A Study in ScarletThe Sign of FourThe Adventures of Sherlock HolmesThe Memoirs of Sherlock HolmesThe Hound of the BaskervillesThe Return of Sherlock HolmesThe Valley of FearHis Last BowThe Casebook of Sherlock HolmesIt even includes the only work written in third person pov [it was originally a stage play]. It is very odd to have things happening without Dr Watson there to descr [...]

    10. I always wanted to read the Sherlock Holmes books but I'm glad I waited for this set. This single title contains all the novels as well as 4 of the 5 short stories (I don't know why they left out the case-book) and its delivered spectacularly by Stephen Fry.I'm only through the first book and partially into the second but I feel safe to say that giving the entire collection 5 stars at this point is a no-brainer.Best part is, you can own it for free is you sign up for a 30-day membership to Audibl [...]

    11. Sublime. Having all of Sherlock's adventures in one place is awesome enough, but Stephen Fry does a masterful job of bringing the audio version to life. At times I felt as if I was watching the stories unfurl, not listening. Highly recommended for those new to -and familiar with - the Conan Doyle masterpiece.

    12. Stick a fork in it! It's done!I don't regret the time and money spent on this, it's generally pretty good. But there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

    13. I remember reading the Hound of the Baskervilles when I was a child, no more than 12 years old and never actually finishing it, for some odd reason. I have since read it, along with majority of Sherlock Holme’s adventures and despite the fact that some of the stories are clearly stretched and just quickly written due to the high demand from readers- they are joyes. Every story is written with such grace and wonderfully structured sentences. Now, the audio book – without a doubt the best audi [...]

    14. The Hound of the Baskervilles was chosen for my office book club for December and I decided to use one of my precious audible credits on this 63 hour long Sherlock Holmes collection. After listening to and not really enjoying about 3 hours of The Hound of the Baskervilles, I finally decided to return it. I didn't care for Stephen Fry's voice. He has a pleasant accent, but his voice is too nasally and you can faintly hear some of his mouth movements. I don't think I would be able to make it throu [...]

    15. 71 hrs and 58 minutes of delight. Stephen Fry's delivery is excellent, as always. The audio book includes not only the complete collection of Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories and novels, but also Stephen Fry's introductions to each novel or story collection. These introductions were a pleasant surprise for me and an added value. I didn't know Stephen Fry was such a passionate Sherlockian, and since his childhood too, just like me, although I had never been a proud member of a distinguished [...]

    16. This was a great banquet of short stories of Sherlock Holmes adventures. Rely on it Holmes will always a have the situation well in hand !I got the audio book from audible for 9.80 on my platinum plan its 62 hours of Audion book it took me 2 months to listen to it all and i will do it again a few years Fry does a perfect job or portraying Holmes and Watson .a most singular book :)

    17. Absolutely engrossing! Little did others know that I’ve been living in Sherlockian London for the past three months.

    18. Many, many, many hours of listening but worth every second. Stephen Fry is absolute perfection in this extraordinary work.

    19. I’m giving this audiobook a 4 or 4.5. The only reason it’s not a 5 Star read is because of how long it took me to listen to it. I lost some of the enjoyment because I’d forget some of what had happened and I’d be confused when I’d start it up again but this was all due to a listener error. The stories and narration themselves were fantastic and I give those a 5 star. But overall, very enjoyable and very well done. I might listen to this again in the future, hopefully in a shorter span [...]

    20. Sherlock Holmes read by Stephen Fry, what more could you want in life. You will be pooping scones for weeks after you listened to this book. You will learn that to "To ejaculate" also can be done with sentences, and how efficient the telegraphy system was in Holmes' time. It feels so modern, so up to date, fast moving, as if it was written for the Netflix generation. Absolutely brilliant performance!

    21. I'm halfway through A Study in Scarlet, and I can already say that listening to Mr. Fry read Sherlock Holmes is one of life's great pleasures. I knew it would be entertaining, but it surpasses my expectations. Well done!5/19/17 To my great disappointment, The Casebook is not included due to US copyright considerations. If my calculations are correct, it won't be available in the US until 2022, if then. The lack mars an otherwise exceptional audiobook.

    22. Great stories, great narrationThis fabulous new audio collection from Audible includes all the short and long stories, set out in the traditional order. Fry gives a short introduction to each of the five books of short stories and individually to each of the long ones. The collection runs to over seventy hours, so needless to say I haven't listened to it all yet, but will have great fun dipping in and out of it over the coming months and years. I started by listening to The Valley of Fear.In the [...]

    23. thebookloversboudoir.wordpresI found this audiobook completely engrossing. It certainly helped while away the long hours working 12-hour nightshifts. I enjoyed listening to the stories a bit more than the novels. This is simply because these fitted in with my shifts much easier than the novels. The stories were easier to dip and out of as I only listened 3 days a week during work hours. Days would pass listening to the longer pieces and I had to re-listen to pick up the threads of the tale. My f [...]

    24. Every Sherlock Holmes story and narrated by Stephen Fry no less, a bargain at only a single Audible credit. There is never a dull moment in any of these stories. There is suspense, action, adventure and even a little bit of comedy, which I don't mind saying, came as quite a surprise to me. Stephen Fry's narration is excellent and it's sometimes easy to forget that it's all him when he's jumping from character to character as he reads. With a nice smattering of forewords by him throughout, contai [...]

    25. I adore the Sherlock Holmes canon, and this has to be the preeminent audio edition. It is splendid from start to finish. I can't imagine a better narrator than Stephen Fry, whose mellifluous voice, and deft use of accent and characterization bring every nuance of these classic stories to vibrant life. Early in the set, I was mesmerized by Stephen Fry's adept voice acting, but in the later chapters I heard only Holmes, Watson, and their supporting characters. My singular critique is that Fry's def [...]

    26. I was able to break up the reading with other novels. This would be a long listen if you do it all at once. I think it is best to listen to it in parts and read other things to break up the story or listening. This is a good read overall I like the interjections by Stephen Fry. Stephen writes multiple introductions for the different sections of the novels. Fry provides some great sound background information that enhances an already good set of writings by Doyle. The reading by Fry does the writ [...]

    27. THIS HAS TAKEN ME SINCE MARCH TO FINISH HOW EVEN5 stars ^_^Ugh, I love Sherlock Holmes. This was so so so good. I mean, every single Sherlock Holmes story, Stephen Fry narrating, and Sherlock Holmes what more could one want? The voices were really well done, and I liked the voices given to Sherlock and John - I thought it suited them well. I enjoyed every single story. Sure, some I liked better than others, but there was no one that I didn't enjoy listening too. I also thought that Sherlock Holmes [...]

    28. After listening to 72+ hours of Stephen Fry read ALL of Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories, I come away with the following observations1. I don't actually like Sherlock Holmes as much as I thought I did. 2. Stephen Fry's narration is absolutely wonderful.I've grown up watching, and reading Sherlock Holmes. From Basil Rathbone's classic portrayal of the character, to the contemporary interpretation by Bennedict Cumberback (which I love), I've been enthralled by Doyle. I've read a handful of hi [...]

    29. DoyleI love the Sherlock stories, the tone of voice, the narration by Watson, and the easy-listening the stories provide. As the narrator notes, the final collections do indeed start to reuse the material and tropes emerge - it can be confusing but there's also something very mentally relaxing about having this familiarity.FryStephen Fry is an amazing narrator, of the old school English grammar schools - well spoken and fully committed to accents. His introductions are formal but unforced, and a [...]
