    1. The saga continues into Badlands and war erupts. Good narrative and pace, leading up to a tantalising end. Looking forward to the next (concluding?) book of the series.

    2. This third book of the series has a lot more action (including war), and more (and new) fantasy elements. After crossing the Iputa, the Shinmahs push north towards the Nilgai and Yashin. But they have to deal with a lot more than they have bargained for. A lot of intrigue.Adoy comes into his own as a Will Wielder, and Nova discovers a latent ability. Both these are nicely described. Loved the ending. Now waiting impatiently for the next book in the series.

    3. This is developing into a nice epic. There is a lot of intrigue in this book as the Shinmahs sweep northwards amidst treachery. Badlands turns out to be a pretty interesting place with Bass, Dargo, Ciski and the Folly. The young Shinmahs' travails give nice little twists.
