    1. What sorcery is this? Nic Walker waves her author wand and POOF! Switched is magic: - BFFs-to-lovers (Israel and Sam have been friends for more than a decade. Sam is the first person Iz turns to, always.)- friendship (Israel and Sam's friends are supportive and hilarious. They call Israel "Captain" and sing the SpongeBob theme song as an inside joke. I don't recommend the song. I DO recommend friends who don't take life too seriously.)- family (but not manufactured family DRAMA)- love & sex [...]

    2. 4 Stars!!N.R. Walker delivers a heartwarming read that totally warmed my heart. I’m a big fan of this author, so trust me when I say that 'Switched' was N.R. Walker at her best. If you are a fan of comfort/healing and/or friends to lovers stories, then you will enjoy this one. 'Switched' was emotional, gripping, with a cast of main and supportive characters you will like from the very beginning.Israel is a twenty-six years old man who’s working for his father’s company as a junior executiv [...]

    3. Reread Sept. 2017 When real life goes to shit, NR Walker is my happy place.N.R. Walker is so beyond talented it just doesn't seem fair to everyone else. She has a true gift of bringing out love and joy and intense emotions in me. I absolutely adore her books and Switch is no exception. This book is delightful and has everything I've come to expect from a N.R. Walker novel. Sam and Iz are hot as fuck and full of love and all things warm and fuzzy. I loved this book and HIGHLY RECOMMEND to all M/M [...]

    4. It's LIVE a day early!I loved, loved, LOVED this book! It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of this author, and the fact that I just met her for the first time at GRL, and that she was amazing to talk to and so goddamn sweet and funny.had really nothing to do with my rating. Because this book will speak for itself.Walker was a little more hush hush about this release of hers than some of her previous books. I remember seeing the blurb only very recently and reading Walker's words about it being a b [...]

    5. 1,5 starsHonestlyI didn't enjoy Switched by N R Walker.I know gentle heree I am in the minoritybut let me give a quick rundown on why I felt MEH about this story - I am not going too deep into the plot because it has been discussed on all the previous reviews. just a few pointers here!!!-Sam, Iz's best friend who becomes his loverdrove me absolutely bonkers.I was doing a lot of this whilst turning the pagesI can't remember how many times (I gave up after a while) Sam asked IzE YOU OKAY?????and a [...]

    6. 5 Starsobviously!“Iz, I want to take you to bed. I want to have you, in ways I’ve only dreamed of. I want to be inside you, and I want to make you mine.”This book just made me smile. Except the few times it made me tear up. I just loved, loved, loved Isreal and Sam.

    7. This story of a kind, sensitive soul being switched at birth into a cold, distant family has it all.Friendship, longing, love, anger, resentment, the beginnings of redemption and a happily ever after. This book was mostly love for me, especially in the first half of the book, before Iz and Sam got together; however, the pace seemed to slow a bit after that, but thankfully picked up again toward the end.Although the story didn't really make me tear up, Walker broke my heart every single time that [...]

    8. 4 1/2 SpongeBob and Patrick starsWhat would you do if you found out you were switched at birth? For Israel Ingram, his world turned upside down, and rightly so. He grew up a privileged life, but with cold hearted, distant parents. Reading about the emotional journey he had to go through, was a beautiful, sometimes heart wrenching, story of finding your true self. But Izzy was stronger and braver than he ever thought he was and went with his heart with all of his decisions, especially with Sam by [...]

    9. This book gave me the warm and fuzzies. Friends to lovers isn't my favorite trope, but this one was done well <3

    10. WOW WOW WOW! What an amazing book to start this new year! PERFECT! I don't wanna change anything about this! It's about: FAMILY! A story about a guy who has FOUR families <3. I always said family is not defined by blood. This book prove my point.Israel was switched at birth with Nick. 2 guys, 2 family very very different from each other. When one grew up with more than love, the other didn't have that chance. BUT I've never, ever doubt that Is was loved by his parents. We saw them fight all a [...]

    11. NR Walker + Best friends to lovers = NR has written some great stories this year, but she has saved the best for last. This was NR Walker at her best. In Switched, she gave us the story of two best friends- one of which has recently found out that due to human error was accidently switched at birth. Israel was never close to his parents but has always found comfort in his best friend, Sam. Sam has been there for him through it all, and it was no different this time. My highlights:-The plot. It w [...]

    12. 4.5 Stars!Basically, the blurb says it all. Israel has had it rough, his life has been filled with no affection or love from his cold, unfeeling, and ambivalent parents. The only true sense of family he’s had is from his best friend Sam, who’s been there for him since they were teens. Now with the sudden revelation that has him questioning his entire identity, the only person he’s ever relied on becomes that much more important as his life starts to unravel. This book is brimming with emoti [...]

    13. Well, this was awesome!Israel has always felt he doesn’t quite belong. Brought up by cold parents, who never showed him love, he only has his best friend, Sam, to fall back on.When he and his parents are asked to come to the hospital because they have some information they want to share, they find out Israel has been switched at birth, 26 years ago.Israel feels even more lost now, but is happy he has his best friend for support. And Sam is there every step of the way. When Israel admits to hims [...]

    14. 3,5 Clean and decent. I enjoyed it.I think Nice read only it felt a bit unreal, more 'too good to be true' something like that.Sam was such a good friend it was a bit overdone it felt almost uncomfortable, helping and helping and understanding his friend. And Israel was so insecure and hurt which should be of course by his back ground. They were surrounded by great friendsrry but predictable His own parents awful and his family by birth great and understanding. Afterward his own parents became u [...]

    15. A lot of great reviews and it’s well deserved.A friend-to-lover story (Iz and Sam have been best friends for more than 10 years and you can feel it at each page), with an original twist (Iz discovers that his parents are not his biological parents because he has been switched at birth by mistake at the hospital he was born) and a HUGE dose of banter, scorching sexual chemistry and hot sex. N.R.Walker doesn’t disappoint. My highlights of this book : the strong relationship between Iz and Sam, [...]

    16. Wow. Friends to lovers with slow burn and really great sexy times. The angst and heartache is palpable but the romance is not a part of that. I loved their friendship and the progression. Sam was fucking amazing. Nice HEA. Only niggle was the quick 180 from his family. But I still loved it and couldn't put it down. All the thumbs up.

    17. *4,5 stars*This could have easily turned into nothing but a shallow OTT drama, but N.R. Walker pulls the 'switched theme' off beautifully. The way things progressed felt real. Finding out, digesting the worst, making tentative contact with the biological family, getting to know themBut I loved Iz's development most. The man is marred by his loveless upbringing, never feeling good enough, always trying to please his father even though he hates himself for it. He is pretty messed up before the big [...]

    18. I always love a good "best friends to lovers" story and this was a great one !! But this book  was so much more than a love-story.Israel is 26 year old man, working for his fathers company. That however does not mean that his relationship with his father is a good one. The opposite is actually true. Israel has always been rejected by his parents in one way or another. They didn't really raise him, the nanny's did that. They didn't show him any kind of love and his father made it very clear that [...]

    19. 4 solid starsI loved the second half of the book and the Epilogue! *dreamy, dreamy eyes*This story was quite a journey. Iz and Sam were best friends since they were kids. They were always there for each other. When Iz found out about a human error that happened 26 years ago, him being switched at birth, everything he knew changed. And more than anything, he needed his best friend to hold him and make it bearable. This story was a little slow paced for my taste and my biggest problem was the slow [...]

    20. Loved it. Loved that nothing was a quick fix, that the relationship progresses so organically, that the story seemed real, but was still romantic as hell.I want a Sam of my very own.**~~**~~I really enjoyed Joel Leslie's narration. He does such a great job conveying Israel's emotional rollercoaster, although it did highlight one of the parts of the book I had not been super happy with: when Israel kept pushing Sam away, but made the whole thing understandable. All in all, a great listen.

    21. This was so incredibly good. I bought it just intending to read a few chapters and ended up finishing the whole book in one night. The plot was so original and kept me engaged the whole time. And it had my very favorite - best friends to lovers!

    22. *** 3 Stars***I love this author and it pains me to not give a stellar rate for the first time BUT! if you are a fan like me, stay cool because it seems that this is clearly a case of “ Everybody loves it but me.”My thoughts:.)Their friendship was somehow off. Israel was extremely dependent on Sam and Sam liked to feed that need. In fact, he couldn’t accept to be left a side for a moment or give some space to Iz. For many readers, I believe it probably would work in an appealing way. To me [...]

    23. First of all, many thanks to Nic for the ARC. Was it worth the wait?? You betcha!! 5 stars from me.Best Friends to Lovers, one of my favourite tropes. Add to the mix an unusual subject matter [don't think I've read another story which features babies given to incorrect parents at birth, but don't quote me], throw in a few steamy moments [unusual for Nic, but I loved how most of it was still left to your own imagination **waggles eyebrows**] and I was hooked!! Israel Ingham [or Iz to his friends] [...]

    24. 5 StarsWhen Israel Ingham finds out that he was switched at birth, his entire world becomes unglued. Part of it makes complete sense, seeing as how much of a stranger he’s always felt growing up in his own home, with parents who were distant and uncaring – but still, it’s a complete shock that rocks him to his core. Understandably, Israel has a hell of a lot of questions he now wants answered: about himself, about his birth family, about his parents and why they have treated him coldly his [...]

    25. Re-read, well listen - Audio - Once you get past Joel Leslie's version of an Australian accent it's a good listen ;) hadn't realised how much of the book Iz spends near to tears though. Sam is very much his rock. Emotion, friendship, a little humour, flirting and grinding along the way.-- --This is friends to lovers and there's a real sense of the friendship, of what that friendship means to each of them. Everyone should have a friend like Sam, Iz is so grateful for him that it hurts. It's slow [...]

    26. DNF at 46%.This wasn't for me. It's so clear that these two will get together, the whole back and forth just feels boring. Now if this had been a romance between the two switched sons, it would have been interesting, but the best friends to lovers theme? It just didn't excite me at all.2.5 stars

    28. 4.5 stars. I LOVED this story. Sam and Israel have been best friends since high school. Israel's had a tough life growing up in a cold and loveless home. Sam and his family have always welcomed Iz into their home making him feel a part of their family. There's nothing Sam and Iz won't do for each other. Iz finds out some shocking news that throws his life into a bit of chaos. Sam, his rock is right there by his side. This is an amazing friends-to-lovers romance that has me swooning. Both of the [...]
