    1. Rating Clarification: 3.5 starsOur doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt. Her Heart’s Secret Wish by Juliana Haygert is a short yet sweet story about two people who find themselves falling for each other despite the obstacles they face. Learning to take chances and putting judgments aside are carefully infused in this novel to give it the right amount of substance with a perfect blend of heart to make this story both entertaining and engaging. In He [...]

    2. Cute and sweet, but parts of the book could have been developed further, especially the characters (mainly Jason). But as a novella, I think character development was okay, as well as the plot. I enjoyed reading about Natasha and Jason's fight against their attraction towards one another. It's pretty predictable in how the story ends, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I look forward to more books by this author. :)*Probably not the best idea to read at a time other than Christmas. It feels off.

    3. My Review:13,000 words and every single one of them were good. Whoa, the author packed a lot of story into this little novella and she did it really well. I am a HUGE sucker for college romances and this one was just perfect!Jason's a professor. Natasha is a student. Seven months ago they connected for five hours at the library where they became friends. Since then, both have been fighting their attraction mainly because it isn't a relationship that's allowed within this college community, but t [...]

    4. 2017 Review: I re-read this as part of my #HoHoHoRAT challenge. It has been four years since I read this and my impression remains the same. Excellent characterization and holiday fluff piece. The theme was implied without being too over handed and the cute romance with shades of gaming lingo interspersed made it extra fun for me. Since I last read this I met and married a gamer so much that was lost in translation last time is clear as rain. All in all an easy light read rife with enough colleg [...]

    5. This was a lovely New Adult novelette. I also really liked that it's set during the Holidays; in a way, it gets you in the Holiday mood. Even though this is not a full length novel, I felt there was a good amount of background information on both Natasha and Jason. I believe there was great description in the setting, situations and in the characters that really made them come alive. It's amazing really, because once I finished reading, I just felt really satisfied on how things went. Ok, I may [...]

    6. Her Heart's Secret Wish is a very short, 45 page novella that takes place on a college campus. Natasha is a college student with a less than stellar reputation as the easiest girl on campus. Jason is a professor at the college. Sparks fly between Natasha and Jason but due to her reputation and the fact that a student-professor relationship is frowned upon, neither of them do anything about themuntil Jason's Christmas plans fall through and he finds himself hanging out with Natasha. As their rela [...]

    7. Her Heart's Secret Wish is a super short, quick, romantic read, perfect for the holidays!I didn't expect so much to happen in such a short read, Or to be able to really like the characters in such a short space of time. But i did :) I liked Jason from the get go, and although Natasha could be a bit of a bitch at times, she quickly grew on me too. And she had her reasons for being the way she was. I loved that it was the girl being a 'player' and the so called 'bad' one. Was a nice change from al [...]

    8. This was a very sweet holiday romance. It's gets you into the holiday mood and makes you appreciate having loved ones to celebrate the holidays with.Natasha has developed a reputation amongst the student of her college campus as a girl who looks for a good time. Little does anyone know that the reputation was based on her need to not feel so alone. But when she meets her gaming instructor, Jason Stone, she starts to believe in things she hasn't believed in before and hopes that the friendship th [...]

    9. Aw, what a sweet read this was. I'm not quite sure what to say about the book other than, Her Heart’s Secret Wish is tremendously sweet book that’s very well written. It's about twenty year old girl named Natasha, falling in love with a professor at her college, however they fight their attraction because of her being a student . The story is told in a third narrative meaning we do get to see chapters from each character - which I really enjoyed. It's quite interesting to watch the story pla [...]

    10. Who would have thought that being alone on Christmas would actually turn into something good? I mean, Christmas is, after all, one of the worst times of the year to be alone. But not for Natasha and Jason. After months of having to resist the growing feelings for each other night a passionate kiss changes everything. But will it change things for the good or for the bad? Will Jason's career as a Professor get in the way or will Natasha's reputation send Jason running far away? This short story wa [...]

    11. This and other reviews available at Viviana, Enchantress of BooksReally enjoyed Natasha's and Jason's story. It was a cute romance and a good read! Natasha is a vibrant and energetic person who, like some, had a sad past which causes some of her self-destructive behavior. She has finally found a friend in Jason, who also happens to be her professor. Natasha has noticed a shift in, not only her feelings for him but knows or rather believes that her reputation would not allow him to take her serio [...]

    12. Her Heart's Secret Wish is the debut novella from author Juliana Haygert, short, gritty, and totally engaging! While loosely a "holiday" read, the holiday theme was an aside to the rest of the story. With such a sweet cover, I thought I was going to be reading a sweet holiday story. Don't get me wrong it was. It just wasn't sugar sweet and neatly tied with a bright red Christmas bow. And that is exactly what I liked about it! There was no sugar coating Natasha and making her be some pure, little [...]

    13. Natasha has a seriously tarnished rep. Labeled as a player on campus, she totally shouldn't be crushing on her hot professor - a decent guy with a kind heart. But being alone on Christmas does things to a person - both people. Professor Stone knows that having a relationship with a student is off-limits, but he can't help his attraction to Natasha. Neither of them can help their attraction to each other. I really loved the whole idea of a video game professor being a love interest. Who says nerd [...]

    14. This is a charming short story about a college student trying to find out who she is. Inspired by one of her professors, she sets out becoming a better person. I love how the heroine doesn't change to "please her man." Instead, she harbors a crush on her professor from afar and that inspires her to take more control of her life. Sorry for the lack of names - I can't remember them off the top of my head, but that doesn't change how real this story seemed to me.

    15. Oh my goodness, I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I was going to! It was such a sweet, feel-good holiday read with just the right amount of drama. I loved the characters and the writing, and I look forward to reading more by Juliana Haygert.

    16. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Juliana really has something here with this sweet holiday romance! Jason and Natasha were very sweet characters, and Jason was so unique. I mean a video game professor, really? Too cool. Great holiday read for the season :D

    18. I wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first Christmas Fiction book to read, besides the Christmas classics, and I must say that I LOVED it! It was a short read but very entertaining. Natasha is a young lady who has had to endure a lot of pain and loss since she was a child. These traumas led to her making mistakes that bothered her. Shame, loneliness and pain were all she ever received for Christmas. Until she met JasonI love that this story teaches us to not judge a book by it's cover.or [...]

    19. Nice little Christmas heartwarmer about a love that has to overcome barriers of the past to find a future. The story is alternating POV between the two main characters. Sadly, the autor must have changed this in hindsight from third person and not edited the story properly. There are lots of errors left where it should be „my“ instead of „his/her“ or other mixed up sentences.

    20. For full review including excerpt and dialogue highlight, please visit Reader's Edyn at:bit/TdkUeFReview:So I decided to read this book knowing absolutely nothing about it or the author. I made my decision based entirely on the fact that it is published by Decadent. Says a lot, yes? Anyway, I have been reading some pretty descriptive stories lately so I was a bit taken back by this book because I guess I was expecting a little more in the way of intimacy. That said, I still very much enjoyed the [...]

    21. Esta review fue originalmente posteada en Coffee, Books and My KindleNatasha es una joven universitaria con fama de conquistadora. Ella ha estado con más chicos de los que podrías contar.Jason es un joven profesor universitario un tanto geek, adicto a los vídeos juegos y apasionado lector.Natasha y Jason han establecido una amistad platónica algo un poco nuevo para Natasha quien está acostumbrada a que todos los hombres que se le acercan tengan intenciones no tan sanas y honorables. ¿Jason [...]

    22. This was a pretty sweet story. Natasha is pretty easy to read in terms of her character, so you feel pretty bad for her, even if she did bring her reputation upon herself. Jason is a good guy, but judgmental, though I can’t blame him too much under the circumstances. He does lose points for how he handles a couple situations though. The whole thing is really very lighthearted, especially since Natasha’s history just isn’t quite what you might expect. That is the only part that’s not parti [...]

    23. This book turned out to be a cute, quick Christmas-y read. I love reading short books like this right now. They fit so well into the festive mood (and give me the satisfaction of having finished reading a book when I have to meet several deadlines of finished books. ;) ). Anyway, a cute love story, this, ignites happy feelings, just right for the season. The cover is cute, just like the story. But I am glad not everything is happy and glorified but reality is shown, as real life is not all warm an [...]

    24. I have found that Juliana is such a great author, I think I have 4 books or is it 5 of hers? Any who I love her style of writing. I love a good Christmas book, so put the 2 together and you have awesome combo. It was a quick read, novella. Go enjoy this read. ( ;

    25. Une histoire courte et sympa dans le fond. Par contre des erreurs de grammaire. une relecture est nécessaire!
