    1. What a beautiful tale of love unresolved. This was expertly written although a bit racist. But I guess that came with the times. Cultural issues aside the descriptions were lush and I was drawn in despite the slightly archaic turn of phrase. If anything it leant charm to this story. I literally (excuse the pun) re-read it three times in one sitting. This has been on my to read shelf for years. Uncanny, really, when you think about what was waiting for me all that time.
