    1. I read this book several years ago for a research. It is fascinating and the pictures take you back to the time when the book was published, in 1892. I love old pictures and Ancient Egypt has been in my mind since I was a little kid and first saw the picture of a pyramid. Lake Moeris existed in ancient times and it seems nobody (at the time the book was written, at least) knew where it was located. It is now known as Lake Qarun.     2. If you can get this book, do it! It is fantastic. The title is incorrect, though. It is "The Fayum and Lake Moeris."
