    1. This won’t be a positive review. To be blunt, I did not like the book. As always it’s subjective. If you enjoy the book don’t feel bad because I don’t. I’m really glad that you do. It’s just not my experience.“Even the Reapers didn’t know this tunnel existed. There are a lot of secrets in the Rim we have yet to penetrate.”The way he said that word, so throaty, so forcefully. It was hot as hell. Damnit. It must have been too long since I’d had a good shag if I was melting into [...]

    2. Petrified City by S.C. Green and Lindsey R. Loucks is book 1 in the Chronicles of the Wraith series. In this story we are introduced to a world of where things are very much different. The characters that we are introduced to are living in a domed city called Petrified City. They are trapped there with creatures called wraith that are killing the residents one by one, husking them, and stealing their life energy for themselves. There is no escape from the dome because of the wraith who the gover [...]

    3. I am stunned by this work of pure art! This is not what I was expecting, and for that reason I am even happier that I got the chance to read this book. I am stunned by just how creative this story was. You have reapers, wraiths as well, along with a very unique human girl with an extraordinary gift that could save the world from complete destruction. Not only was this book based on survival, but it has some harsh life thrown in because of all that had happened to the world. This book is definite [...]

    4. ** I received a review copy of this book so I could give my honest review**Well, to be honest, I was not a big fan of the love interest, Alain. I did not feel any chemistry between them. The romantic parts were definitely at the wrong times, and I did not feel like there was a love connection at any point. I did however enjoy the relationship with Diana. I had a few tears at the end, which is very rare for me. The world of the Reapers and Wraith was intriguing and I enjoyed Sydney as a main char [...]

    5. I found this book to be very good. It was unusual enough to keep my attention. While the story has an ending, it is not The End. There is room for sequels.Sydney lives in a city where a chemical accident has resulted in a dome being erected that keeps all the inhabitants in and everything else out. This means that there is very little food or water to be had, at least for the poor inhabitants, along with a loss of all services. Sydney has survived by being a thief for hire. Unfortunately she got [...]

    6. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is darker than some UF I’ve read but that didn’t dissuade me from reading it. I loved the book. Excellent world building. This ends on HEA but you also know it’s not the end. Normally there isn’t much romance in UF but this has a bit in it. 10 years ago there was a chemical spill and the government created the Dome to save their own lives but left so many to fend for themselves. They have no contact with outside the Dome. Inside [...]

    7. What a terrific story. I was told it was out of the ordinary and it was. Fast paced ,great dialogue and very interesting characters had me completely intrigued. Highly recommended and waiting for the follow up book with happy anticipation

    8. Something Ghostly Wicked Gets SolidThis is my first book by these authors and I have to say job well done. This book is not my usually reading genre but once I started it I really got sucked into the story. The author made the characters come alive in such a way that you could picture them in action. The shape shifting Reapers that are lean and gorgeous and the jewel of the story Sydney tough and special and possibly the savior for those under the dome.If you are into stories that deal with hard [...]

    9. A lost city inhabitants left for dead a sinister force threatens the fragile hold on life that the survivors cling to.I really enjoyed this book, it had humor, love, loss, death, and depravity. We see this life through the eyes of Sydney. She's a thief with a hidden talent for seeing beneath the surface. She meets Alain, a raven shifter tasked with trying to keep what's left of the city alive. While there is romance in this book, it certainly isn't the main focus.I liked the world building and i [...]

    10. I was given this book by the author in exchange for a honest review. Let me start by saying I'm a book snob and in the paranormal genre it's quite hard to impress me that being said this book seriously impressed me!! What's not to love about a story of the dead coming back and sucking the souls of the living who are trapped with them under a dome cut off from the rest of the world. There's raven shapeshifting Reapers who want to save the people of the city and send the Wraiths back to the unde [...]

    11. Life under the dome sucks, literally. When soul sucking wraiths raise from their graves, the government isolates the city in an inescapable dome. Reapers are crow shifters that carry souls to the underworld and the only people with the weapons to fight the wraiths. Sydney exchanges care for her ill young charge for a mission to save the reapers' last surviving female. A human with psychic powers, Syd can see through any object she can touch. Thinking she's safe in the reapers' compound, Syd fall [...]

    12. WOW! This was a great story with complex and compelling characters. S.C Green created a rich world with Petrified City and a different take on the undead. Her Wraith, to me, were more interesting than the standard Zombie apocalypse. I also really liked the Reapers. That whole raven lexicon has always intrigued me and Green brought it to life in an interesting why.Green's characters are multilayered and complex. They accurately reflect many different cross sections of society today. I have always [...]

    13. Post-apocalyptic setting, strong female character, fascinating premise. This book had all the right ingredients for a stonking good read. The start is exceptionally strong, with a well-planned prison break, and fairly decent intro to our main character. In a similar fashion, the male protagonist is also given a good intro, and we get to see a little more of the world. With the set-up, backstory and potential, I settled down to read with eagerness, fully intended to give this five stars, but at t [...]

    14. Wow, what an amazing book!!! I absolutely adored this book and I am dying to find out what happens next in this world. The authors of this book are so so talented!!!I loved the storyline in this book, it is filled with twists and turns that you just don't see coming, it is seriously action packed, in a desperate world where there is fear, desperation but there is also hope and love. This is a serious page turner of a book, you definitely find yourself compulsively turning pages to find out what [...]

    15. In a destroyed city threatened by wraith, several extraordinary human beings fight along with Reapers a desperate battle to banish the horrible creatures from Earth and regain their freedom. Sydney is taken from jail due her mysterious and exceptional power - her touch enables her to see into the core of objects. Cooperating with Alain, one of the Reapers, she uncovers some deadly secrets kept by the Reaper leaders and saves Alain´s daugther May during what seems to be a suicide mission. Sydney [...]

    16. I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review.Just with reading the first chapter I'm hooked. Sydney is soooo cool and funny, some of her inner dialogue cracked me up. Especially meeting Alain, holy man does he sound HOOOTTT!!! Yep first chapter got me excited about the rest of the book.Sydney has a gift that she keeps secret so she can't be used by people. She still has other skills that are useful. Sydney hasn't had it easy so has to watch her own back, but she also watches out for Dia [...]

    17. From the start you are thrown head first into the story. Well, in this case feet first for Sydney into the husk of what was once a living being. She is part of a prison cleanup crew and a hope of escape in the making. From there she jumps from the frying pan into the fire when faced with a Reaper that saw it all since he’d been watching everything happen. This is just the beginning, and one that you won’t want to miss out on. You have Wraith’s on one hand and Reaper’s on the other withou [...]

    18. This book wasn't what I was expecting at all. It was a mixture of paranormal, fantasy, romance with some horror throwed in. Sydney was a strong heroine. She's been on her on in a crumbling city for awhile. She was in prison for stealing and trying to find away to break out to get back to Diana, a little lost girl who had no family. They were killed by the Wraith. Scary, terrifying being who suck the souls out the living. The only ones who are able to stop them are the Reapers. But something is go [...]

    19. Living under a dome with Raven shifters and wraiths, one girl against all odds This was great book. Sydney was a girl on a mission. One minute she's escaping from jail only to get blackmailed into helping a Reaper. What else could go wrong? Only everything. She's is drug into the middle of chaos. While saving the daughter of the reaper she learns that shes the only person that possibly can eliminate all the wraiths plaguing her city under the dome. Sydney false in love with the last person she ev [...]

    20. Petrified City was a very difficult book to put down. The author is a master of her craft and has a pleasant writing style. She has developed a very unique plot that has some nicely developed twists integrated. Throughout the book you have this feeling of foreboding put you just can't put your finger on it. The web the author weaves around you is intricate and you can only escape when she provides you with more insight. The book has a great pace, never too fast to feel rushed nor do you feel lik [...]

    21. First a big thank you to S C Green and Lindsey Loucks for the wonderful review copy. This was a totally different type of paranormal read for me. The story does hold your attention from the first page with the action non stop. The main characters are Sydney who human but has some startling power abilities and Alain a Reaper who is definitely not human as he turns into a raven. Petrified City is covered by a dome and the people cannot leave so they do what they can to survive. Inside the dome wra [...]

    22. ***I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review, from Lovers of Paranormal and the author.***This was an amazing book, about Sydney and a young girl Diane trying to survive under a Dome that has surrounded the city and trapped them in. She meets up with Alain who is a Reaper and shifts into a Raven. The story goes that she is set on a mission (well blackmailed into it) to save Alain’s daughter from the wraith who are husking all the souls in the city. The reason she has been given this [...]

    23. Good book ! Brookwood Hill Cemetery had chemicals leaked into the ground from an accident from a city chemical plant the results where not great from the ground emerged the wraith . Sydney Cale is a thief with a strange and secret power who has tried to escape from the domed city’s jailers but runs into the wraith her best friend is Diana. Sydney meets Alain, a raven shape shifter who is a member of the Order of the Reapers, a powerful force who work to banish the wraith back to the underworld [...]

    24. S.C. Green has really outdone herself with Petrified City. I was hooked from the very beginning and it was tremendously hard to put the book down. The strong heroine Sydney is trapped along with the rest of the city when the government puts up a dome to save the world from the wraiths they made mixing chemicals and a graveyard. All she wants is to keep her young friend Diana safe and to survive. When Sydney meets Alain, everything in her world changes and secrets unfold. Greens strong voice and [...]

    25. In a world that has been ravished and is full of reapers and wraiths, this amazing story takes us on an action packed journey to see if love can once again flourish in never ending bleakness. The characters have been fully formed quickly and they waste no time grabbing your attention. This storyline moves quickly and seamlessly. I glided through these pages willingly and allowed my emotions to ride the rollercoaster. Beautifully written, this book is sure to keep you highly entertained. A defini [...]

    26. Wonderfully layered story line with surprising twists and turns to keep the reader fully vested. I enjoyed this read from start to finish. Well drawn characters, both good and evil, added to masterful pacing, engrossed me into the early hours of the morning. Excellent writing--Well done.

    27. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. A definite riveting read!!! At first I wasn't too sure about what this book would be about, but after I got into the book a little ways, I "did not" want to put it down!! The author certainly made the story come to life with very good imagery and imagination. It's hard to separate the book and rate each aspect of it. I felt that it was an excellent book all around! I certainly enjoyed reading it, and can't wait for the next book!!!

    28. Wonderful read! This review is from: Petrified City (Chronicles of the Wraith) (Volume 1) (Paperback)I was a little slow getting into the book at first. It was confusing to understand this horrible dying world in which Sydney was trying to survive. She had a little esp that helped her and she kept it to herself, she thought. She didn't know she was supposed to save her little world. Wonderful read. *I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review*

    29. I liked this book it did hold my interest enough to get to the end about three quarters of the way through it got real good for about a chapter maybe two. I don't want to put the book or the author down too much it was a solid read. Well I read The next book in the series? No.

    30. I received an Arc in exchange of honest review.I loved the book! Great pace, strong characters with strong backstory, logical thinking of the heroine, some unexpected plot twists and the thing I liked the most - it's great as a standalone read!
