    1. This is one of those rare books that managed to captivate me, despite its flaws, for the entire time, only to ruin the whole experience by a contrived, abrupt, and nonsensical ending. (view spoiler)[At the 97% mark, heroine asks another man, who has shown time and again he would love to steal her away from hero, to "help" her with a pregnancy test, inside of her hotel room. This, knowing that the psychotically jealous and violent "hero" would likely O.J. both of them if he ever found out they we [...]

    2. I've got to be honest I have absolutely NO idea why I liked this.Katerina Winter appears to be allergic to the word "had", in almost every instance where it should have been used she uses "has" which reads very badly. She also uses "reigns" when she means "reins" and on a couple of other occasions she uses what appears to be completely the wrong word.Added to which the 'hero' is plain mean and towards the end practically rapes the heroine, it's certainly hate sex.And then, the heroine is broke, [...]

    3. The story was okay but nothing out of the ordinary. Gabriel was a raging asshole to the degree that it was really hard to like him. Salene was disappointing because she sat there a took it most of the time. The numerous grammatical errors drove me nuts! The one that bothered me the most was using the word breast instead of breasts. It didn't help that the word breast was mentioned often. There were tons of run on sentences and poor punctuation.

    4. I loved this author's last book but this one was awful. The H is incredibly mean and always in a bad mood. The h is ridiculed throughout the book and made to feel pathetic. The sex didn't happen till 75% of the book which is too late for me. This couple never felt real either. Lastly, the whole issue with the h's breasts was a little much. I really hope the next book is better.

    5. This review was copied from my romance novel review blog: Romantically Inclined ReviewsI’m sure many readers can relate to this age old story. You have tons of books on your TBR list. You can’t—shouldn’t—add anymore. But suddenly there is pops up on your feed. The words FREE DOWNLOAD look up at you from your Instagram feed, Facebook page, emailed newsletter, etc. You know you shouldn’t click the button but you can’t help it. It’s taunting you. Staring up at you, begging for a cli [...]

    6. I wish somewhere in the synopsis, it would have stated that the heroine was going to fall for her BFF's estranged husband. The heroine thinks she is going to stay with her college BFF. However, when she knocks on the door, she finds out her BFF left and the BFF estranged husband is the only person living in the house. Not for me, but may work for you. It feels like leftovers to me. You may love it. I am not tell you not to read it.

    7. Truly Engaging!!!I love the story ! All around entertaining! I highly recommend it . I will be reading more works from this author.

    8. Hate turns love! This is a new author for me and she is great, loved this story of two people at first can't stand each other but Salene was desperate for a place to stay and calls her friend Amber from college who had got married but had not talk to her in months, well she never called her back so she goes to where she had lived with her husband but to her surprise Amber had left her husband Gabriel. Salene and him did not like each other but in desperate Gabriel let her stay but she had to put [...]

    9. I was very reluctant to read Desperate however since I liked this authors previous book I caved and bought it anyway. Mistake. My reservations were right. The hero wasn't over the top into the heroine no he was a bit of a pansy. He waited far too long before making the heroine his and by that time the chemistry fizzled and romance felt forced. Had they engaged in smexing earlier and built the relationship from that the hero showing his possession more the book would have worked. Also the hero is [...]

    10. Worth the TimeThis one took me by surprise. I start and put aside more books than I care to mention. Honestly, I was pretty sure Desperate was heading to that pile, but something happened. Amongst all the editing and grammar issues, the characters of Salene and Gabriel grabbed hold of me and wouldn't let go. Katrina Winters gives us a compelling story featuring a tortured hero (my favorite!) and a sweet, but sassy, down on her luck heroine. I loved these two together, loved the steady, though of [...]

    11. Despite how bad Gabriel behaved in the beginning, somewhere deeeep down I knew it came from a weird physical attraction kind of place. And as their relationship progressed, the way he was kind of obsessed with her was both endearing and disturbing a little bit. Sometimes it was too much, I get it, he got uber jealous. But still, I was honestly expecting a scene where he would hit her. Now towards the end, I have to say the pickles scene was my favorite. Finally something lighthearted happened in [...]

    12. Cute storyThe novel needs a good editor. But I liked the story concept. The character development could have been a little more in-depth.
