    1. This is the prequel of a new series by Aislinn Kearns and I read part of it while I was reading book 1 (“Station Alpha)”, because I was so curious about Duncan and Mandy and, well, they are lovely as individuals and as a prospective couple (we’ll have to wait). But the humor, the bickering and the attraction are promising. The topic of the security firm (Soldiering On) employing injured veterans, using their skills and know-how, is not original, but Kearns delivers it superbly creating wond [...]

    2. Nice intro to the series! Focuses on all the main characters and the startup of the company to give permanently injured soldiers a chance at a new, fulfilling career. Duncan and Mandy are co- owners and the stage is set to see whether they will become more than business partners. There is no romance in this prequel, but I'm looking forward to seeing who all these ex-soldiers, male and female, will end up with! 4 stars.

    3. Soldiering On is a short prequel to the Soldiering On series by Aislinn Kearns. In this story, readers are introduced to Duncan, an injured veteran who is looking to make a life for himself following his military career. Deciding to use the skills and know-how acquired in the military, Duncan embarks on a quest to open a security firm staffed by other injured vets. While Duncan is very confident in his ability to handle the security side of the endeavor, he has almost no confidence in his abilit [...]

    4. Good StartThis looks like a great start to a series. I really like the for injured veterans idea and the cast is coming together great. Thank you for an interesting story, Danny Scott.

    5. This was a good intro to the series. It lets us meet a few of the characters that will have their own stories later on. I look forward to continuing this series.

    6. A short story introducing the main members of the team and how their organization got started. The writing wasn't particularly strong; but that seemed due to the nature of the story not the author's ability. There was just so much information being provided in an short amount of time/pages. I like that I could see where the series was going and got just enough peek at the characters that I wanted to read their novels. (Zack is who I'm the most interested in reading -- I've preordered his story a [...]

    7. Fantastic bookThis was a great read. Quick, witty, fun. The characters are charming and intriguing and the story line has you begging for more. Looking forward to continuing with the next book in the series.

    8. Great series starter, good back story bonusI loved the diversity of the cast of characters introduced in this short prequel to the series. I'm the kind who always has to read the blurb, gotta know what a book or movie is about before I start it. I love intro stories like this because it gives a good glimpse into characters and relationships before you get to the actual series. The back story information you get is wonderful and only adds to the depth of the characters.I read the excerpt from the [...]

    9. Good book. Duncan is a military man who doesn’t know what to do with his life now that he’s injured and back state side. He comes up with a brilliant plan to help himself and others like him. Mandy is a socialite who works under her father under the pretense that she can still do what she loves. Her father turns down all of her ideas without a second thought. Then he switches things up on her. Which in turn leaves her jobless with nothing to do.Mandy overhears Duncan talking about his plan a [...]

    10. Okay beginning to the series. A bit of an abrupt ending though and I hope Duncan can stop the hostilities and do some straight talking soon before he digs his grave too deep.

    11. Great prequel!I enjoyed this short prequel that sets up the Soldiering On series. You get to meet all of the characters that will be featured in the coming books. I really enjoyed Duncan and Mandy, but they're not the main couple in book one so I guess I gotta wait to see how it all works out for them! Lol Can't wait!
