  1. If you want your classic superhero fare then turn way because you won't get it within these pages. The comics code changed and relaxed a little so Marvel got to introduce horror themed comics, some like Ghost Rider eventually ended up a hero in his own right.We also have some really nice B/W art in the first appearance of Man-Thing and then Marvel gets hold of classic literature in the horror vein, Dracula, Frankenstein and the like get beautiful yet dated comic strips to feast on.

This is a collection of origin stories for some of Marvel's horror-aspected characters, many of which I hadn't read before.So, although I'm not a great fan of many of the characters in this collection, on the whole I thought it was a well-constructed book that delivered what it promised.3.5 stars.
