    1. Zoe saved the best for last, but secretly I am hoping other books will follow. Her intricate knowledge of the customs and practices of the people of this era is remarkable. In earlier books we discovered interesting facts about the league of five nations, now we focus on the Wyandot alliances and their struggles to pave the way for a lasting peace between sister clans. These characters have become my literary friends over the past few years, and I will always keep them fresh in my mind and heart [...]

    2. Could it succeed? All the work of the peacekeeper could still be fulfilled. Those who have read the other books of the series will need to read this book to find out. While hard to get back into the characters after waiting a year for its release. it was worth the trouble to find out what was going on. My only hope is that Saadia follows up and finishes the tale she has so expert lyrics woven.

    3. This book was an unexpected bonus, as I thought the series ended with the warpath. But now it feels that it couldn't have. I love the way this one rounds up Ogteah's story. The way he is stuck between two worlds, quite a situation. Also loved how the deaf girl turned up, didn't expect anything like that, good character development, this one. Makes me wish to see more of these people

    4. I've enjoyed reading the 'People of the Longhouse' series. Author Zoe Saadia does a great job researching this era and weaving wonderfully brilliant tales with characters you will remember. Book 5 continues the saga. No spoilers here…and I highly recommend.

    5. Zo's Saadia's People of the Longhouse series is wonderful. I assure you that once you have read any of these, you'll want to own them all. In Echoes of the Past, wherein the vast Great Sparkling Water sets the backdrop for this new tale of Ancient America. When approached with a request to spy on his former people, Ogteah, the hero, has scruples and thinks for himself, a rare thing in any adventure tale today. Alone and armed with a few instructions and some trade goods, he sets out to gain know [...]
