    1. What a great concept for a series of children's books. The stories take place in a wild west setting, but with dinosaurs. Who wouldn't enjoy that. The short chapters make this series perfect for those beginning chapter book readers from age 7 and up.Josh and Charge (his triceratops) are getting accustomed to each other. In this book, Josh has decided that he and his friends are going to catch a giganotosaurus. The main problem is that no one has seen on around for years. This does not stop Josh, [...]

    2. I'm pretty confident that this series is going to be an enormous hit with the kids at my library when it comes out in 2017. Mixing dinosaurs and the wild west is a pretty safe formula for entertaining kids. This is the second book in a series, but could be read as a standalone. I would recommend reading the first book first, however, since the resolution to book 1 is casually discussed in book 2 and it will spoil the surprise for kids.In book 1, Josh tames a wild triceratops and rides him in a lo [...]

    3. This is the second book in the Dino Riders series. Set in a time when humans live with dinosaurs, these books are simple chapter books that are perfect for young readers (early elementary school).Josh is back with his dino, Charge. In this book, he decides that he wants to follow the lead of his hero T-Bill and capture a dinosaur. T-Bill caught a T-Rex, so Josh decides he wants to do something even bigger: capture a Giganotosaurus!Josh is joined throughout the book with his two great friends Sam [...]

    4. To make sure his life stays exciting, Josh decides he needs to be like his idol T-Bill and catch a meat eater. T-Bill was recently in the news for catching a T-rex. Josh convinces his friends (with the heckling of the town bully helping) that they need to catch…a gigantosaurus. Can they do it, or has Josh just gotten them into huge trouble?Like the first book in this series, this is designed to appeal to dinosaur loving adventure fans. The story is a little stinky (not as in bad, as in smelly [...]

    5. Just love this series for my little nephew. He adores dinosaurs and cowboys. This is the perfect blend and I think he is going to love it. I can't wait for the next two to come out!
