    1. It’s a cold, quiet February in Busman’s Harbor until Julia’s mom gets a mysterious package in the mail. Inside is a necklace, a family heirloom worth seven figures, that disappeared in the 1920’s. What happened to it all those years ago? And who sent it today? This is definitely a different plot for a cozy, but I really loved it. Yes, there is a murder, but it comes in later and the mystery of tracking down family and the story behind the necklace takes center stage. Honestly, I like the [...]

    2. Dollycas’s ThoughtsIt may be winter in Busman’s Harbor but Julia still has a mystery to solve. Her mom received a package containing a wonderful family heirloom, one the disappeared back in the 1920’s. The problem is they have no idea who sent the package. Julia’s investigation leads her to connect with family she didn’t know she had and she arrives at their door just in time to find out the person she hoped to meet died recently. Shortly after her arrival the family learns that the de [...]

    3. This fulfilled all the requirements for a cosy, undemanding mystery. This is the fifth book in the series and I haven't read any of the previous books, but this works as a standalone. The storyline from the previous story were gracefully incorporated into the narrative and the characters were well-developed. The mystery involves missing jewels and family members and lost connections, so there's nothing remotely brutal or violent in here. There are some delicious descriptions of food and recipes [...]

    4. Iced Under by Barbara Ross is the 5th in the Maine Clambake Mystery series. As in the previous mysteries in this series the story centers around family but not the Snowden Family Clambake Company. The story is centered around the blustery cold winter of Maine, the pending birth of Julia's sister and the anonymous package delivered to Jacqueline. I found this book just as entertaining as the previous ones in this series. Although it is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. The charact [...]

    5. Iced Under (A Maine Clambake Mystery, #5) by author Barbara Ross takes Julia Snowden from Busman's Harbor, Maine to Boston, Massachusetts, as she follows the path of a priceless diamond necklace and discovers long-lost family members. Julia must solve the mystery, and get back to Busman's Harbor before her sister Livvie's baby arrives, all while trying to secure the inheritance the family needs to restore its family home. Engaging story that was a quick read, and nicely written. I'm looking forw [...]

    6. Ever since I saw the cover of ICED UNDER by Barbara Ross, the fifth book in her Maine Clambake Mystery series, I’ve been on pins and needles waiting to read it! And when Barbara released her novella in the Christmas book, EGGNOG MURDER, featuring Julia Snowden in October, my appetite for this series was whetted even more. So it was with great glee that I poured a steaming mug of tea, curled up on the couch with a fluffy blanket, and lost myself in the snowy world of Busman Harbor, Maine and Bo [...]

    7. I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. One of my favorite cozy mystery series! This isn't like the conventional cozies where the murder takes place within the first few chapters. There's a lot of speculation with Julia and her mom trying to figure out who sent a mysterious package. In turn, the hunt leads to a murder far into the storyline where numerous suspects abound and no one is to be trusted. This is a series worth investing your time, starting [...]

    8. I love mysteries in which an event in the past influences characters' lives today and Barbara Ross' ICED UNDER fits that category perfectly. Although I figured out "the mysteries" pretty easily, I loved the reading journey with the interesting characters until they figured it out all in all -- an excellent read.

    9. Winter has come to Busman’s Harbor, Maine and to say it’s cold and snowy would be an understatement. Julia Snowden and her family run the Snowden Family Clambake Company which takes tourists on a clambake cruise to Morrow Island where everyone enjoys a real Massachusetts clambake. But a clambake is out of the question during a Maine winter so Julia and her mom, Jacqueline, are spending time together waiting for Julia’s sister, Livvie, to finally give birth. It’s been a long pregnancy. One [...]

    10. Iced Under by Barbara Ross is the fourth book in A Maine Clambake Mystery series. It is February in Busman’s Harbor, Maine. Julia Snowden is on her way to her mother’s house and stops to pick up the mail. There is a package for Jacqueline, Julia’s mother. Upon opening it, they discover a beautiful necklace inside with a note that states “For Windsholme” (the old family summer home that recently suffered fire damage). The necklace is called the Black Widow (contains a rare black diamond [...]

    11. See this and all of my reviews at Mystereity ReviewsIt's winter in Busman's Harbor, and Julia has settled in for a quiet winter. The restaurant she runs with Chris is shuttered for a few weeks, and Chris has gone to Florida to help out a friend. When Julia's mom received a package containing a very old and expensive necklace that has been missing for several years, Julia tracks down the sender and uncovers her mother's long lost family with secrets someone will kill for. I always enjoy a visit t [...]

    12. This is cute and perfect if you are in need of a very mellow easy to read and just overall winter-y cozy feeling little family mystery book. I never read a cozy mystery before but wanted to give them a try and while I did enjoy this and it was good, I also didn't really fall in love with it. What I noticed throughout this book -and that is a very personal and specific to the reader thing!- is that I need a bit more action and thrilling parts to keep me actually interesting and wanting to continu [...]

    13. Another excellent book in this series. A mystery package leads to more questions than answers. After researching her maternal family history, she finds a lead and decides to go to Boston to find who sent the package and why. Her quest connects her with relatives she never knew she had. Unfortunately for one of them, they are murdered. While Julia tries to find out who would want to kill and why, she and another relative find themselves in danger as well.

    14. **I voluntarily reviewed this ARC**I loved this book! The mystery of the necklace was intriguing, and I loved how Julia was doing genealogy research to try to solve it. I also loved the quirkiness of the characters. The only experience I have with this series is the novella in Eggnog Murder, but I had no trouble following the story. By the end, I was feeling a definite connection to the characters.

    15. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. I thought this book started off quite slowly, alot of genealogy searching was involved but then it turned into a very good murder mystery. I enjoyed all of the different characters and it's definitely a great book to read during the cold winter months! I look forward to reading more books by this author.

    16. Iced Under by Barbara Ross is the 5th in the Maine Clambake Mystery series. Once again, Julia Snowden is involved in a couple of mysteries, but this time, not in Busman's Harbor. This is a fresh idea that really pulled me in to this story. It is February and there is an impending storm coming. Chris is off in Florida helping a friend set up his boat for the tourists so Julia decides to visit her mom. Jacqueline asks her to pick up her mail at the post office on the way. As well, Livvie is expect [...]

    17. Iced Under is the fifth book in the Maine Clambake Mystery series written by Barbara Ross. Ms. Ross has written a well-plotted murder mystery with a cast of realistic characters. The story moves at a steady pace and has enough twists, turns, and suspects to keep the reader involved and kept me guessing until the reveal. Ms. Ross provides great character background that allows this book to be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this book for readers who enjoy a well-crafted, clean mystery. It [...]

    18. Iced Under is the fifth book in the Maine Clambake Mystery series. As always, another enjoyable story from Barbara Ross.Winter has arrived in Busman’s Harbor, Maine and Julia and the rest of the Snowden family are taking a much-needed break from hosting Clambakes on Morrow Island.Julia gets a phone call from her mother who is having a touch of cabin fever and asks her to come over for lunch and ask Julia if she would stop at the post office and collect her mail first. Once they open the box, th [...]

    19. This is the fifth book in the Maine Clambake Mystery Series and does not disappoint. Julia Snowden finds herself emerged in a mystery a little closer to home. Julia's mother receives a package in the mail containing a necklace that once belonged to Julia's great-grandmother and disappeared long ago. Julia embarks on a mission to discover what happened to the necklace and determined who had it in for a relative who was previously thought dead. Julia is determined to figure things out before the b [...]

    20. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Iced Under and I was unable to put it down. This series is one of my absolute favorites and this latest installment did not disappoint. Julia Snowden is still in Busman's Harbor expect now we are knee deep in the winter season, nothing going on other than keeping warm. Then everything goes crazy after Julia's mother receives a mystery package in the mail. Julia is once again thrown into a family mystery chalked full of suspense with a good dose of murder thrown i [...]

    21. I've been looking forward to reading the latest in this series more and more with each book. The more I read, the more I love the town of Busman's Harbor and its residents. Like Fogged Inn, Iced Under is set during the town's off season, so it has a different feel to it than the first 3 books. The town is exceptionally quiet, thanks to off-and-on winter weather, and part of this story takes place in a new location. There are layers of mystery in this book, all of which keep main character Julia [...]

    22. I was lucky enough to get an advanced reader's copy of Iced Under, the next installment in the Maine Clambake series by Barbara Ross. If you haven't read this series, you really should. Julia Snowden, her family and the denizens of Busman's Harbor are an absolute delight; the mysteries are intricately plotted and the locales are glorious. Iced Under, book 5, is reminiscent of an old English drawing room mystery, just located in an old Brahmin townhouse in the Back Bay of Boston. Even though it i [...]

    23. This is the first I've read in this series and I completely enjoyed it. The genealogy angle was engaging and the historical background in ice cutting from the water interesting.

    24. Iced Under is the fifth book in the Maine Clambake Mystery series written by author Barbara Ross. Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the advance copy.

    25. Very well done. Great attention to New England History and very good knowledge of Boston. This book advances the story line very nicely

    26. Iced UnderA Maine Clambake Mystery, Book # 5Barbara Ross5 StarsSynopsis:The snow is deep in Maine’s Busman’s Harbor and the mighty rivers are covered in ice. 27. This is a good book that I could relate to in a few ways. It all starts with a snow storm. A trip to the post office and finding a package in her mother's mail that had no return address on it. She went to pick up the mail for her mother and take it to her on her way over to see her mother. When her mother opened the package something unexpected was inside. A necklace that had been "stolen" at a party in the 1920s called The Black Widow was inside which was worth over 2 Million dollars. All that [...]

    29. This is the fifth book in the series, I have read them all and I feel this the best one. Maine Busman Harbor already has a blanket of snow. Julia Snowdnen picks up her Mother's mail that includes a mall package without an address. Her Mother opens the package and finds a family heirloom, the black widow's necklace that had been missing for over two hundred years.
