    1. Although the main story is only 170 pages long it packs so much into those pages that it is a must read. Emmeline and her twin brother William had always been close as twins will be, they shared secrets and a need for adventure. She also had an older brother Pheneas and it was this older brother that she had caught in a very compromising act. Witnessing that encounter had opened the doors of curiosity for Emmeline that she just could not put aside. There was that need for more in her that caused [...]

    2. Received this complimentary arc from the author for an honest review.Ooooh what a saucy little story. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️Emmeline Hughes has led a sheltered life with her twin William and older brother Phineas. It was lovely reading about a different time gone by and the things the men could do and the things that were appropriate for young ladies. Emmeline wants more out of life, some excitement. Fascinating about how she dressed and everyday life but agree, it coul [...]

    3. Emmeline catches her older brother, Phineas, in a compromising position. She begins to wonder if there is more to life than just the life she is accustomed to. A life consisting of a marriage, in the near future, that could possibly lead to an uneventful, mundane life. Why is there a double standard when it comes to Ladies and Gentlemen? Emmeline is more than curious about what goes on behind closed doors, so she confides in her twin, William. William decides to take her for a walk on the other [...]

    4. I have never read a story like this. It's totally different from any other story from this time period that I have read. I loved the way Julia told it I never would have thought of it.For her to turn the tables the way she did for a woman of that time was awesome. She touched on a couple different topics in this book but "Emmilene"s story was the best. It is a quick, short and very entertaining read.

    5. Received this book for an honest review.Ms. Regan has scored another winner for her "Once Upon A ----" series. This book's favorite characters are Emmeline and William twins with a thirst for adventure. Phineas their older brother is in the military and loves his family a lot. This is a close knit family. This book offers a glimpse of the intimate natures of young people coming of age and the experiences they will follow.

    6. This story is a bit different. It's set in the Victorian era but with a big twist. Twins that were born of high status seeking out different ways to not bored. It's a great story and keeps you hooked from the beginning.

    7. Absolutely loved it. I love historical romances and especially one with a great storyline where two people overcome such great odds. They grow with each other. Couldn't put it down and hated to see it end but will read it again. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

    8. I found this to be easy to follow from the start to finish. It is a short read but if you are into historical romances it proves to be a great read.
