    1. Brooklyn is a widow who is slightly disabled; she walks on the boardwalk every day to help as a way for physical therapy. She makes jewelry to sell on the side to help supplement her income. What doesn’t know that she has accidently stumbled upon a drug smuggling operation that involves her as well?Mario is an undercover officer who comes to Brooklyn’s rescue in more than one fashion. This was an enjoyable and excellent story to read.

    2. I really, REALLY wanted to like this book. I loved the premise about a widow trying to live after an accident and the sudden loss of her husband, who finds love again with a local street musician. Danger and romance await them both as the case Mario is investigating becomes linked to Brooklyn's freelance business. Both Brooklyn and Mario must come to terms with their own personal losses and become willing to love a [...]

    5. Having a suspense/romance novel about drug dealers using innocent people is so played out until you read The Boardwalk. Undercover cops falling for the story female character are so over written until you read The Boardwalk. This book was a refreshing change, all the characters, Mario and Brooklyn and their friends and foes work so well together. It all works! There is nothing overdone in this book. From the the way even the drug traffickers are written to the building relationship of Mario and B [...]
