    1. A sweet and sexy short that showed that sometimes returning home can bring you the unexpected - even if the unexpected is something more inevitable than anything else. Marlowe managed to pack quite a bit into so few words - a back story for both lead characters, a history between them and a clear longing on both sides. And provided a very appealing love interest to boot! The first in what I expect will be many more published works from this author.

    2. Hot damn! This story is hot and sexy in all the right places. L.A. Marlowe has an amazing way of painting pictures in the mind and getting to know characters with just a bit to go on. I wish I could know more of Cassandra and Ian. Expect great things from this writer!

    3. I loved everything about Iand his little dog, too! Seriously, though, this was a sweet and hot love story that packs a lot into little space. I'd love to read more from these two:how does Cassandra resolve her issues with her father? Does Ian pack more baggage than an adorable old pug named Van Gogh? Do these two ever hit the rocks and how do they recover? Does she ever get a tattoo? Perhaps a matching cupcake?Homecomings suck. Hers gave me hope.

    4. I liked Ian and Cassandra's book! These two had a lot of catching up to and a heart to heart. I would love to read more from these two!

    5. The author's dry humor will make you chuckle, although I must admit there were a couple scenes that had me scratching my head in confusion. (Thank goodness for Google, eh?) This story will leave you wishing that it was a full length novel rather than a novella. I'd like to know about how Cassandra settles in to town and how her romance with Ian progresses. But alas, I am left to my imagination.

    6. 4.5 stars. Excellent chemistry and delicious smut. But what really hits the mark is the prose. Favorite line: “The word ‘sorry’ is overused though. You can only hear it so many times before you come to see just how meaningless it really is—before you realize it's something that people say when they don't know anything else to say."

    7. "Wear Your Heart On Your Skin" is a well-balanced short story, with equal parts of character background, meaningful dialogue, and steamy scenes. The only downside is that I wish there was more. I highly recommend you giving this story a chance - I believe you'll enjoy it!

    8. Yes, I read this in one day. It's a sweet tale of going back "home" and getting a glimpse of what might have been and even a second chance on love with the guy who now has a tattoo of a cupcake! Love, love, love!!!

    9. I love that these two had a connection from school, and that even after all those years, they never forgot about each other. I'd love to read more about their story, especially because Ian was such a darling.

    10. Make no mistake, this author can write. When you approach an erotic novella, one is never sure but I wanted to read it because I've read other work by this author and I'm a fan. I was drawn immediately into the storyline which is intricately woven, and the characters, who are quite believably fleshed out. Their stories separately are tragic but when they come together it's a thing of beauty. The concept reminded me a little of Ray Bradbury's "The Illustrated Man" in the way the tattoos have a st [...]

    11. This was my first romance novella that I ever read and I really enjoyed it. It's sweet and hot and sexy, and it is short and quick enough to give the reader a boost of happy feels when it's done. The scene that really got my heart rate going was where Ian starts drawing his idea for a tattoo on Cassandra's skin. I all but drew my knees up into my chest and died!!

    12. This story somehow manages to be sweet, sexy, angsty, heartbreaking, and touching all at once. As Cassandra and Ian found their way back to each other and the percentage left on my kindle started dwindling I almost had a panic attack because I just needed so much more-- but I couldn't even be upset when it ended, because it's just so lovely all the way through.
