    1. The One with the Wedding Dress is the second part in the four novella Bridesmaids series, and continues on from where The One with the Engagement Party left off. "Hope you lot are having a frocking good time." For Erin Lawless' character development and story so far, this gets a 3.5. For the fact that her publisher is releasing this over four instalments, it gets a one, because I have to be honest here and say it's a poor move by them. It's been a couple of months since I read the first "book" a [...]

    2. Review: I have been waiting for the second installment in this series for what seems like ages now and, let me tell you, I was not disappointed. I devoured this whole lovely second part in one sitting, laughing and even reading aloud bits I found hilariously funny to my poor fiancée! I loved getting back into the lives of Nora, Bea, Cleo, Daisy and Sarah, and of course their accompanying love interests! I am now officially BFFs with all of them I feel I know them so well. If the first part in t [...]

    3. Thanks to Netgalley and HarperImpulse for the ARC in exhange for an honest review.I already had problems with all the names in part one of this serial and unfortunately it didn't get better for me in the second installment. Again I had problems getting into the story, telling who is who and who belongs to who. To me this serial has far too many names. This really bothered me in the first half of this novella, the second half was better for me due to the setting. The wedding dress search was fun a [...]

    4. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publishers Harper Impulse for this review copy given in exchange for an honest review. This is part 2 of a four part series, Bridesmaids. I have read part 1, The One With the Engagement Party, but I have to admit it has been a while since I’ve read it. Because of that, I found it really difficult to get to grips with all the characters and the storyline, so I certainly wouldn’t recommend that you read these books out of order! To help, there is a lis [...]

    5. Beware! This is part two of a serialisation. The book starts at chapter twelve and finishes at chapter 20. I could see no indication of how many parts there are to this story.I think I would have really liked this book if I could read it in its entirety, I liked the characters and I was intrigued by the secrets but I really didn't get enough in 77 pages to know for sure. So a probable four stars rounded down to three stars because of the serialisation format and the lack of plot development. The [...]

    6. So it seems like everything is hotting up inside the tightly-knit group of friends in the second instalment of Erin Lawless wedding-themed series!I am getting more and more exciting to see what will follow and how things will eventually work out between the Nora and her bridesmaids and of course the men!In this second instalment, we follow the girls on a trip (into the deep English countryside) to find THE ONE wedding dress for Nora upcoming nuptial. There is a bit of drama involving a slightly [...]

Follow my reviews. :Jane Hunt Writer First StepsJane Hunt Writer Book Reviews FacebookJane Hunt Writer Book Reviews Google+Connect on:TwitterReacquainting with bride to be Nora and her prospective bridesmaids, as they celebrate Cleo’s thirtieth birthday is easy, despite the months that have passed since I read part 1 of the Bridesmaids’ story. Experience, a nerve racking but hilarious weekend finding the perfect wedding dress. There is plenty of tension between bridesmaids Cleo and Bea and N [...]

    8. My thoughts:I read the first book in the Bridesmaids series: The One with the Engagement Party back in June. I thought it was a great start to the series so as soon as I saw the second book available on Netgalley I had to download it.Each book in the series is a novella and follows a group of bridesmaids as their friend Nora is getting married. The first book established the characters so it was a easier to get straight into the story this time. This book was about finding Nora a perfect wedding [...]

    9. Woohoo. Part two is finally here.In Bridesmaids (2) – The One with the Wedding Dress, Erin Lawless takes the girls dress shopping in the Cotswolds. Let’s face it though, wedding planning is stressful and no event is more stressful than dress shopping. Rather than just having a fun time with her friends Nora has to pander to her disapproving mother who seems to be actively trying to find fault with every aspect of the wedding.Along with pushy assistants in dress shops, friends with secrets th [...]

    10. Firstly thank you to Harper Impulse for the review copy of this title via NetGalley. This is the second part in Erin's Bridesmaids series and is all about Nora's search for the perfect wedding dress. We join the girls as they head off to the countryside in search of the wedding dress of Nora's dreams. Tensions are running high as disagreements and disapproval flow between Nora and her mum. Throw highly strung designers and a group of bridesmaids who all have their own discontent into the mix and [...]

    11. The friends all meet up in the Cotswolds to go dress hunting. It has all the high drama of snooty bridal shops, horror dresses, friends and the mother of the bride all trying to help and lots of drink and cupcakes. I loved the fact that we knew the characters more in this book and could just imagine traipsing from shop to shop looking for that perfect dress and a bridesmaid dress that would be suitable for all. It actually would be my idea of a fun weekend! There is a hint of possible tension in [...]

    12. Following on from The One with the Engagement Party, The One with the Wedding Dress reintroduces bride to be Nora and her flock of bridesmaids as they head to the Cotswolds in search of the perfect wedding day attire. Of course, in true romcom fashion there are hitches along the way and that combined with the wit and pun-tastic humour I've come to expect from Erin Lawless makes for a fun second instalment of the Bridesmaids series.I love books that are centred around a group of friends and these [...]

    13. I'd been looking forward to reading this since I finished the first one. I saw a few people complaining that they don't like the story being released as separate parts, but I like it. It spaces it out and gets me excited to read the next part of the story. The cliffhangers are great! One thing I like about these books is that although nothing much happens and it's not pumped full of action, they're very realistic and human. I love seeing the interactions and relationships between the characters. [...]

    14. I am giving this 4 stars because I really enjoyed the story about Nora and her friends who are going to be her bridesmaids. All very different people and yet they all share their love for her. I loved the character of her mother and how Nora related to her. Great characterisation! However, I didn't realise it was only a short story and was happily reading away when suddenly the book ended! That for me ruined the story slightly. But that is only a personal opinion. I think it would be better writ [...]

    15. "Only the usual nearest and dearest were in attendance yet, but already her average-sized Acton flat was feeling pretty cramped. Daisy and Cole jockeyed for space at the hall mirror; for reasons Cleo hoped would soon become clear Daisy was painting her considerable cleavage with green face paint, whilst Cole was fixated with straightening his bow tie. Cleo grinned; she was probably a little old for fancy dress parties, but still, she felt a little frisson of excitement."

    16. Loved this - Erin Lawless always writes a good party scene hahaha! I have told my bridemaids that we have to go to the Cotswolds when we go wedding dress shopping for me - but I hope I don't run into the dramas that Nora does when I go there! As usual, perfect contemporary lit from this author - just too short!!

    17. Really loved this read it in one sitting. Love Erin Lawlesses books, she's so sharp and funny! Total autobuy author. Can't wait for this series to be out in paperback.

    18. Really enjoyed the first one in this series so couldnt wait to read this one and i couldnt put it down read it in one sitting cant wait for the next one
