    2. Liz Madrid's "The Accidental Christmas," is about a single mother, Cameron, who is struggling to raise her young son, Jeremy, who happens to be deaf. On a fateful evening, she takes Jeremy out to purchase a Christmas tree and encounters an important individual from her past. This story may be short and sweet but it packs a haunting punch. It has the warm, emotional notes of a classic holiday tale but also carries the weight of contemporary issues. If you are familiar with the author's writing st [...]

    3. This was about second chances between Cameron and Talon. She had been forced to leave her true love and marry the rich man her parents thought only she deserved. Now she us divorced and on her own raising her son alone. She meets up with the only man she has ever loved. But will he want her and her son? Will he accept her dark secret that she has held close to her heart? This is a very short read written by Liz Madrid.

    4. Very good short story. This could of been a good novella, going more detail in the back story and expanding the ending. But besides that it was a good story. Thanks Liz.

    5. Great short story. If the author ever turns it into a novel or adds it to a series I'll be one of the first to follow along.

    6. This is a very quick, but also very satisfying read. It's a good example of the fact that sometimes, less is better. It let's you fill in the details and that makes it different for everyone that reads it.

    7. The story was cute enough, but so grammatically off that it was hard to read. I just kept rolling my eyes instead of enjoying the tale. Not sure I can give this author another chance, it was that rough.

    8. This was an OK Christmas short. This struggled with the lack of character development to form an attachment and therefore care what happened.

    9. A heartwarming Christmas tale, just in time for the holidays. A great reason to stay inside curled up with a cup of cocoa.

    10. After her marriage ended with a scandal, she moved from her high class lifestyle in California to the east coast to a hand to mouth existence. She has a son that is deaf, adding an additional layer to the difficulty in socialization for her son. The deaf portion of the story is so well written and with such understanding one falls in love with the characters. After meeting her high school love her life and that of her son change for the better. I loved the story and the relationships that build. [...]
