    1. While this is the fourth book in the series, it was easy for me to jump in. Had no trouble following events and this could easily be read as a stand alone. Falsely accused of a crime, Detective Bryce Kelly turns to the only one he can trust, Chelsey Alton. Her connections as a P.I. could be useful, or so he tells himself when his visit has them both on the run from the law. There could be an ulterior motive as the sparks ignite between them. Now the heat is on, in more ways than one, to keep one [...]

    3. Book Four in the Jersey Shore series is a 'cozy mystery' perfect for newcomers to the mystery series as well as prior fans, and it opens with a heart-stopping scenario that portends danger from its first moment: the protagonist returns home to find her front door unlocked - and she's always meticulous about locking it, even though she owns little of value. She searches her house instead of fleeing or phoning the police - and finds a surprise. It's an unannounced visit, and one that affects Chelse [...]

    4. Cozy mystery fans, Chelsey Alton is back with her latest murder mystery investigation! In Major Crimes, the fourth book in the Jersey Shore Mystery Series, author Michele Lynn Seigfried once again transports the reader back to the Jersey Shore to follow amateur sleuth turned novice private investigator Chelsey Alton on her latest murder mystery investigative adventure. Set in the small shore town of Coral Beach, Chelsey's latest case involves hunky police detective Bryce Kelly, who is accused of [...]

    5. Coral Beach Village should not be a hotbed for murder but there do seem to be an extraordiary number of bodies piling up. This time it is a young police chief found murdered the day after his retirement party. So many questions. Why was he retiring? Who had grievances against him? Could it be related to a past case or a rival for a future job?The means of the murder was rage filled and personal.Detective Bryce Kelly is a person of interest in the chief's murder. Found in front of the body, cover [...]

    6. A really enjoyable murder mystery. Chelsey, a private investigator in training, and Bryce, detective and murder suspect, tell the tale. We switch back and forth between them as the story progresses. Great Italian family interaction adds to the humor, food intake and clues. To be honest, the cover and title would not have made me pick up this book. The author provided a copy for me to beta read. I am so happy she did. As soon as I finished this book, I purchased the previous ones available by Mic [...]

    7. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.Chelsey and Bryce are solving the murder of a local police chief and are on the run. They hide out at Bonnie's aunt and uncles' house, Geri and Frank. Geri and Frank are an absolute hoot in this book and provide good comic relief. The mystery unfolds nicely and keeps you guessing until the end.I really enjoyed this book.I think it's the best in the series. Make sure you get this one on your next book change.

    8. Enjoyable cozy mystery that can be read as standalone. When I started the book I didn`t know that it is part of a series, but never had problems following the story. There was mystery, romance and humor, so that it is a quick and easy read. I would recommend it to friends and will see if my library has the other books from the series.I won this books at giveaways.

    9. “Major Crimes” by Michelle Lynn Seigfried was a fun read. The main characters were perky and interesting, and had enough depth to be well thought out without them being too weighed down. It’s a “Cozy Mystery” novel, and that’s a great description for it. This is the type of book you read in your free time on the beach, or in bed on a rainy day. It’s a fun way to pass the time.I admit that I was nervous when I learned that “Major Crimes” was actually the fourth book in a series. [...]

    10. When I agreed to review Major Crimes I didn’t realize that it was the 4th book in a series! I was so afraid that when I started that I wouldn’t know what was going on. Michele does a great job of keeping the story flowing from one book to the next while still allowing readers to come in at any point of the story. As a matter-of-fact she does such a great job that I want to go back and read the books in the Jersey Shore Mystery Series not because I feel like I need to in order to read Major C [...]

    11. I am a fan of mysteries that are solved by the person wrongly accused of the crime. In Major Crimes the person who is wrongly accused is a hunky detective. Sounds like great fun!Major Crimes is a quick, light read. You can easily finish this one on a Sunday afternoon curled up on the sofa. I did find the writing a bit repetitive. Seigfried often shows the reader a point and then, in case you missed it, tells us as well. And personally I thought there were too many details. The blow-by-blow expla [...]

    12. **SPOILER FREE**Easy to follow with a smooth flow. This is a book that can be read in one sitting, learned that myself as I finished it with no interruptions. A nice mystery to escape into for the weekend.*Received for an honest review*
