    1. 3.5 - "You're in paradise The fun never ends." Stars. The third book in Maggie McGuiniss’ Echo Lake series serves up a little wilderness fun, with four pampered private school princesses being banished to the wilds of Vermont, for the summer, as a result of being caught out misbehaving whilst at Briarwood Academy.Little do Sam, Eve, Madison and Waverly realize that the summer they spend at Camp Echo with their housemother Gabriela O’Brien, will have far reaching effects on them as friends, an [...]

    2. Release Date:August 30, 2016 Genre:Contemporary Romance Series:Echo Lake Series (standalone) :: 5 Pretty Little Stars :: She’s Got a Way is another beautiful, sweet, and classy romance from one of my favorite authors, Maggie McGinnis. While I was reading, I fell in love with Echo Lake all over again. The town is filled with the most charmingly real characters, and each have touched my heart in many ways. This one in particular though is by far my favorite book of this series. I absolutely love [...]

    3. Link to full review below! She's Got a WayMaggie McGinnis This is my first Maggie McGinnis book, but I can say I plan to read more. She's Got a Way is exactly what you want and expect in a contemporary romance. Nothing overly angsty like new adult, no crazy supernatural elements like paranormal romance, and no MC clubs or mafia men in sight. Normal people, with normal jobs, doing normal, mundane things. Its, strangely, refreshing! She's Got a Way is about Gabi, a 'housemother' at an all girls boa [...]

    4. Review originally posted at All Books Considered: 2.5 STARSThis is just one of those books that will not be memorable to me -- it was fine for a contemporary romance but nothing special. And the first half (before the romance really kicked in) was pretty boring. Gabi was a bit self-righteous and I found myself rolling my eyes a few times. That said, the setting is kind of fun -- set at a summer camp except it's not being run as a camp in this book, really. Instead, Gabi is somehow forced (she's [...]

    5. In typical Maggie McGinnis fashion, this story is sweet, heartwarming, funny, and not to be missed! She's taking us back to Echo Lake where Luke Magellan has been working hard to get his beloved Camp Echo back in operational shape. He's spent years there helping troubled boys find their way in life, giving back to them the guidance they need, just as he had needed all those years ago. The camp has been taken over by Briarwood but he's hoping to convince them to let him continue running it just a [...]

    7. Opened the first page of "She's Got A Way" . the words flowed smoothly, scrolling and clicking to next screen page, then guess what happened : I fell asleep with my Paperwhite Kindle in hand. Yup a Maggie McGinnis book definitely hard to put down willingly. Again . mmm What Do I Say next. I cannot stop visuals-events scrolling long after the last word was read from this great book. Pretty much everything in this book had an impact on me.How do I put in words when the whole book keeps rerunning, [...]

    8. I received and ARC from NetGalley in exchanged for an honest review. Sorry for the rushed review. Rating: 3.5/5Gabi is the "house mother" of a group of spoiled rich girls at Briarwood boarding school. She has always dreamed of making a difference in these girls by helping them realized that there is more in this world besides their large trust funds and negligent parents. Not only that, she envisions a boarding school that welcomes poor girls through scholarships programs. However, Briarwood wil [...]

    9. This review is based on an ARC provided by the author and/or the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest opinion. This book was edited very well. I have unfortunately read or reviewed many that weren't. A big thank you to the author that made it happen. Another thing that I really liked about this book, was that I could barely tell that it was written as a series. It was written that well. As impressed as I am with the author, the book was a joy to read on its own merit. To sum up this [...]

    11. Gabi is sent to Camp Echo Lake with 4 of her charges and has to tough it out for 4 weeks as punishment for the girls behavior. She confronts Luke there who isn't happy that she has arrived considering her private school bought the camp and want to make big changes. He is afraid his life's work will be put to an end. Over the course of the 4 weeks they get to know one another and grow on each other. Luke eventually helps Gabi with the girls since she feels at the end of her rope. I love a good ro [...]

    12. I read one other book by this author (the previous book in the series) and I really liked it despite there being no smut. To my disappointment this had no smut. But it didn’t have much else either. There was no connection. No sexual tension. If anything this is a book about the girls and not a romance. Oh and Gabi is an idiot and Luke’s a dick.

    13. Oh goodness, another new favorite author! I am not usually a fan of the typical 'chick lit' romances. This author is anything but typical! There is drama, suspense, and too-funny-for-words scenes, as well as the poignantly yearning or sad moments that bring the characters to life. The characters are very likable, eliciting empathy from this reader. This is a vel that grabbed me from the Adirondack chairs facing the lake on the cover to the final page - the ending was beautiful! Overall it was ve [...]

    14. What is it with obnoxious heroes right now, acting like jerks because they feel they have a good reason, who everybody thinks are wonderful even as they’re rude and arrogant and judgemental towards the book’s heroine? Luke is actually a pretty decent guy who is amazing with teenagers, but at the start of this book (and for most of it, let’s be honest) he has a massive chip on his shoulder that manifests as inverse snobbery, because the girls come from a boarding school, and everybody knows [...]

    15. Originally posted on lampshadereaderI can always count on a Maggie McGinnis story to cheer me up. She’s Got a Way brings out all of the charming characteristics that she always incorporates into her stories. Not only that, but you can always count on finding a new book boyfriend when you read them. I liked the summer camp setting in this story. It set up scenes for funny encounters and it gave a romantic comedy sort of feel. Poor Gabi, being stuck with 4 hormonal teenage girls who cause nothin [...]

    16. Gabriela O’Brien has the unenviable task of managing the pampered and spoiled girls at the private boarding school she works at but she holds out hope that things can get better. Except that their acting out has given them an all-access pass to a remote camp ground for the entire summer and instead of lounging by the pool at an island paradise enjoying the sun, Gabi has to chaperone the girls in the wild.Luke Magellan can credit Camp Echo for putting him on the straight and narrow path when he [...]

    17. Gabi O'Brien has spent nearly her entire life at Briarwood Academy, an elite all-girls private school. She grew up there, went away to college, and then returned as a "housemother"-- living in a dorm with a group of girls who need Gabi 24/7. But when four of Gabi's girls get into major trouble, the only thing standing between them and expulsion is a four-week stay at Camp Echo. Camp Echo used to be a boy's camp for foster and needy kids, but was recently bought by Briarwood. Upon arrival, Gabi a [...]

    18. Gabi is set for summer break and ready for a much two weeks off when all that changes in a blink of an eye, or shall I say a quick hotwire. Her four charges are plucked out of there so called"perfect" lives and with Gabi and they are put in the middle of no where to teach them a lesson. No ones sure what that will be or if they will find out. But Gabi sure of one thing she just kissed her dream vacation good bye and she will teach these girls what they need to know and not let them be victims of [...]

    19. I have never read anything from this author before but I thought the story sounded interesting and wanted to give her a try.Gabriela O'Brien is a housemother at the wealthy girls boarding school, Briarwood Academy. When four of her girls get caught stealing a school van and taking it to another state to visit boys, the headmaster tells Gabi that these four girls, along with her are spending their four weeks of summer vacation at Camp Echo Lake. Gabi was planning on being on plane in a few days t [...]

    20. Gabrielle (Gabi) O’Brien, age 29, is the residential director the Briarwood Academy, an elite boarding school for girls. The Headmaster of the school, Priscilla Pritchard, has called Gabi and four of her girls to her office. The girls had been caught pulling some serious stunts, including hot-wiring a car. The Headmaster has decided that instead of the girls being expelled, they are being sent to a place called Camp Echo owned by the school and Gabi must go with the even though she supposed to [...]

    21. Review can be read at It's About The BookWhat a great story about growing up and turning into the kind of person you want to be. Mingled with a sexy romance and side stories about the main characters, it makes for a great read.Life is never lived in a vacuum. Gabriela had attended Briarwood as a girl and had returned as a teacher. But she hadn’t come back to teach girls who were living the life she’d grown up in.Gabi had seen the damage her entitled brother had done to a friend, and worse– [...]

    22. Reviewed on Musings and Ramblings.First off let me say that I wanted to like this book, I really did. I enjoyed the other books in the series that I have read and looked forward to another enjoyable read.Unfortunately my OCD germaphobe issues got in the way and I had to DNF at about 29%. My personal "Ewww" was just too high.See, our heroine and the 4 girls in her care are at a rustic summer camp. One that's not currently offering indoor toilets or running water. Yes, as in outhouses and bathing [...]

    23. SHE’S GOT A WAY is a genuine romance full of laughter and heart! I absolutely loved every word of this beautiful story. I love that it’s not just about the romance. It’s about two people wanting to better the lives of others. It’s about two people with difficult pasts overcoming them in order to find happiness. It’s about helping four unruly teen girls become their best and realizing you’ve become your best as well.Gabi and Luke are loveable, funny characters with hearts of gold and [...]

    24. Hahaha! Yes!So, this is sort ofsillyto say, and very meta, but the rom-com feel of this was so great! It had "awesome chick movie" all over it. It started out a little slowly, but, before you know it, it sucks you in.The setting of a camp in the middle of nowhere Vermont is great and it was so well-described that I feel like I just spent a few weeks at Camp Echo. Complete with a tent, dining hall, and ice-cold lake. Not to mention, racoons, bears, and a couple of adorable fluffs (of thr dog vari [...]

    25. She's Got A Way by Maggie McGinnis is an exciting adventure. One that takes readers outdoors to a faraway camp. Welcome to Camp Echo. A beautiful lake and scenery all around itbut there are only two buildings on the site. A place for eating and the administrative building. That's where the plot gets more excitingd a group of five teenage girls and their home mother and all hell breaks loose. The girls are taken to Camp Echo which now operates under the rule by their snobbish all girls school. Th [...]

    26. Just another brilliant story by Maggie McGinnis. If you’ve yet to discover the author or the Echo Lake series, She’s Got A Way is a perfect pick. Although this is book three in said series, the story totally works as a standalone, and no previous knowledge of setting or characters is required. This turned out to be one of the funniest, most entertaining, and most romantic stories I’ve read in months—if not ever. If I could give it ten stars, I would! I can’t quite pinpoint what exactly [...]

    27. She’s Got A Way by Maggie McGinnis is such a sweet romance, that it will literally put a smile on your face, regardless of your mood. The characters are delightful, the town is charming, and the story itself is engaging. Maggie McGinnis is guaranteed to give you a good read!Gabi is supposed to be going on vacation, finally, but since four of the girls at the boarding school where she works at, has gotten into trouble, Gabi must play chaperone and take them to Echo Lake. The girls nor Gabi know [...]

    28. I’ve read and really enjoyed all of the other books in the Echo Lake series so I was excited to read this one. I liked Gabi immediately. She was spunky and fun. Luke on the other hand made me angry at first and I was really hoping Gabi would kick him in the shin. The way this book progressed was great. The relationship that built between Gabi and Luke was perfect. They both had to put their trust in the other to not only help each other, but to work with the 4 teenage girls that definitely nee [...]
