    1. *An ARC was given in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the writer and the publisher for the opportunity to read this.*How to Bewitch an Earl is my first Ally Broadfield book, and is most probably my last. I judge novels based on how well they are written, how likeable the characters are, and how beautifully the plot is executed. Unfortunately, this book was not able to pass these criteria. First, the writing was painfully simplistic and awkward. I'm one of those readers who put a high [...]

    2. This was another cute book by Ally Broadfield. I thought Edward and Isabelle were good characters. I especially liked the mystery surrounding the lost tiara. I thought that added an element to the story that made the book more interesting. This is my 2nd book by Ally that I've read in the past month. I do like her style with the mysteries, the regency era, and just a touch of humor. I wouldn't hesitate to keep reading her stories.**Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange [...]

    3. I was really liking this up until Isa and Edward became intimate. After that, it felt awkward and weird. There was nothing convincing in their relationship once they passed the point of no return. In the end, a huge disappointment.

    4. M A S T E R P I E C EUpdate 12/01/2015 How to Bewitch an Earl by Ally Broadfield is a Victorian Romance with a big slide of mystery and treasure hunt. Broadfield made a good work mixing two of my favorites things on HR books. A treasure hunt with tricky hints and a money agreement that leads to more, even in the main characters don’t want it to.You know how most of the heroes of HR books came from horrible families. Except for the Bridgertons, of course, they were the dream family of that cent [...]

    5. 3.75 stars - My review cross-posted from Wit and Sin: witandsin/2015/11How to Bewitch an Earl is an entertaining, fast-paced romance. I’m a sucker for a story with a treasure hunt (especially if diamonds are involved) and author Ally Broadfield made the search for the missing tiara a fun one. Add in some highly entertaining secondary characters, secrets, and a romance and it’s no wonder I had a hard time putting How to Bewitch an Earl down.Edward has wanted to find the missing family tiara e [...]

    6. This is book two in the series "How To". I will say that I have read the first book "How to Beguile a Duke' and feel that it is helpful if you read that book first. You can go without reading it but I found that I was glad that I did not. This is a sweet story that did not have any real bad person and was basically a story about Edward Adair, heir to the Duke of Boulstridge and Miss Isabella Winthrop. Edward parents are throwing a house party for Edward to find a bride. Edward doesn't want to be [...]

    7. I like to read Ally's books in this series. It makes it different because there is a hidden piece of jewelry that no one has found yet. Spoiler. I enjoy her story line with her characters who share their happy and sad. Edward wants to find that tiara. He has to read a diary with hints. Isa is a paid companion and finds the diary in the library after the Duchess gives her carte blanc to read whatever she wants. Edward comes in and jumps on her. Her Grace comes to her rescue. He finally agrees she [...]

    8. Given to me for an honest review. I believe I haven't read any of Ms Broadfield's other books, but she will be put on my favorite author list (only 5+ stars allowed). This has been an enjoyable book from page 1. A little boy grows up and still wants to find the tiara that is hidden somewhere in his house. His parents think that he is not taking life seriously enough. Edward thinks that everything he could manage his father, the Duke, would have the final say. His parents are having a house party [...]

    9. Thanks Entangled Publishing, LLC and netgalley for this ARC.Loved this quick, felt-new and different romance. Ally Broadfield brings something unique to this bulging genre. I can't put my finger on it but I liked this one a lot.

    10. 11. 3.5StarsWhat an a-maze-ing premise. A twist, here, somewhat of a turn there.Edward has heard about the missing family jewel – a pink crown hidden by his great-grandmother since he was a child. It was his favorite bedtime story. He’s always believed he’d one day find it, and his desire grows right along with his height. The problem is, not only did age bring about enough freedom and independence to search wholeheartedly for the crown, but it brought about the need for an heir. His parents w [...]

    12. Ally Broadfield has written an adventurous, fast-past romance that will draw you in and capture you till the very end. The characters are multi-dimensional, well written and relatable. The secondary characters are just as fun and interesting as the hero and heroine. I would definitely recommend grabbing this story, curling up in your comfy reading spot and get lost in these intriguing pages. This escape will take you on a treasure hunt that will lead to a very expensive tiara with rare pink diam [...]

    13. I'm so excited to share this sequel to How to Beguile a Duke with readers!I had so much fun writing the first installment in this series, so I was thrilled when my publisher and editor asked me to write a sequel. Edward's character came fairly easily as his position and circumstances were set. He is the heir to a large and wealthy dukedom. A duke in Regency/Victorian England was the equivalent of a modern day rock star, movie star, or billionaire. He has everything anyone could ever want, right? [...]

    14. This is book 2 in the How To series.Miss Isabella Winthrop is just trying to make enough money as a companion to help her brother pay off their debts. But when she ends up at a house party with nothing to do, she ends up helping to try and solve the mystery of the missing heirloom. Which of course means that she spends quite a bit of time with Edward Adair, the heir to the Duke of Boulstridge.Edwards parents are demanding that he marry, but all he wants to do is find the missing heirloom. He did [...]

    15. *ARC received from Entangled Publishing in return for an honest review*Historical romance is not my favorite genre, but I really enjoyed this story about Edward, an earl and heir to a dukedom that needs to find a wife or be disinherited, and Isabel, daughter of an earl, masquerading as a commoner and acting as a lady's companion, while helping her brother to restore the family finances. Their initial meeting doesn't go well but as they work together to try and find a missing family heirloom, the [...]

    16. Isabella is hiding from society, no one can know of her past. She is currently employed as a ladies maid and is attending a house party the house of the Duke of Boulstridge. Edward is the son of the Duke and he is supposed to find a bride, the pressure has been mounting for sometime, and so he agrees to come and attend the house party with the hopefuls. Isabella is not a hopeful, and she is just looking for solitude so when Edward stumbles upon her, in the library reading his family journal, she [...]

    17. 3.5 starsThis was another fast and fluffy story by Ally Broadfield. I thought the mystery of the tiara was an interesting spin to bring the main characters together and ultimately get them working together despite their initial negative feelings toward each other.Broadfield's writing is well done and I found myself pulled into Edward's and Isabella's stories. Isabella has a secret she is hiding and even though she finds herself falling for Edward, she avoids telling him about it and ultimately t [...]

    18. I received an ARC but that does not colour my review in any way. Edward Adair, the Earl of Kenworth has been given an ultimatum by his father. He must stop wasting his life, get married and start taking some responsibilities. To that end they invite several young women to a house party. Edward would rather be searching for the family mystery of a hidden tiara. Isabella Winthrop is a paid companion , and has accompanied her employer to a house party. She is hoping none of the guests will know who [...]

    19. A delightful rompOur hero and heroine have great chemistry and the riddle at the heart of the mystery is fun to unravel. It is more a short novella really, or maybe it felt like that because it was a good read. I am still doubtful that well-bred young ladies, especially those who have to be concerned about scandal, are so prone to act as seductresses with men determined to treat them honourably, but the conventions of the past give way to the mores of today. Not always felicitously from my POV. [...]

    20. You don’t need to have read the first book in the series to enjoy How to Bewitch an Earl, but if you did read How to Beguile a Duke, you definitely have to read this book. This story was a delight from start to finish. The characters were engaging and fun and I enjoyed following Edward and Isa as they worked together to solve the mystery while fighting their attraction to each other. There’s something special about this book that I can’t quite put my finger on. Ms. Broadfield’s books are [...]

    21. How to Bewitch an Earl is my first read by Ally Broadfield. It won't be my last. Ms Broadfield has crafted a well written book. How to Bewitch an Earl is a fun read from start to finish. Edward and Isa's story is full of drama, humor, a bit of sizzle and lovable characters. How to Bewitch an Earl is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited time for reading. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Ally Broadfield soon. How to Bewitch an Earl is a complete book, not a [...]

    22. I received this from Netgalley/ Entangled in exchange for an honest review. This is book 2 in Ally Broadfield's how to series and I loved it! This book is about the Duke's and Duchess' son Edward who has picked up his parents quest to find a long lost tiara. This was a very good addition to the series. I just loved it so much. I could not put it down. I thought it was odd the Edward turned out to be such a jerk for most of the book. The story was awesome and I loved reading about the budding rom [...]

    23. I received a copy from NetGalley for an honest opinion. This is a fast paced story involving the search for a missing tiara. I loved the storyline as there was a unique twist with the introduction of a treasure hunt. The tiara has been missing for years but the clues to its whereabouts are found in a journal. I really liked the fact that you were taken along the journey with all the clues and the evolving love story. It is a definite great story and I highly recommend it.

    24. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.Book 2 of the How To Series is a fast-paced regency romance that includes the right touch of mystery and suspense. Ms. Broadfield brings an original and interesting storyline to life with her engaging and endearing characters, both main and supporting alike. I loved it and couldn’t get enough of it. This author is now in my go-to list and I look forward to reading all her books.

    25. ***Received an ARC from Netgalley***It was an altogether good read. I loved the intrigue and the mystery that came along with finding the long lost tiara, I also LOVED the backstory of the duke and duchess. I was a bit disappointed in the ending, at the tiny reason the earl took offense to Isabella for not talking to him sooner. It seemed like it was blown a bit out of proportion in my opinion. I felt like the earl should have been more understanding of the circumstances.

    26. This is the second book in the "How to" series. I haven't read the first one and I think , although it is a standalone I would have enjoyed it more if I have read the other one first. Now, I will go back and read the first one.Edward and Isa are a great couple and the attraction between them is genuine. Together they decide to solve a mistery about a missing tiara. Enjoyable read.I received this ebook from the Publisher via Netgalley for an honest review

    27. How to Bewitch an Earl was a fun read. Solving the mystery of the missing tiara quickly becomes a secondary plot line to the growing relationship between Edward and Isa. The two moved pretty quickly from enemies to lovers. I liked them as a couple. Some of the dialogue felt a bit young for the characters but I can understand that the author wanted to keep true to period. Overall, I enjoyed this book.I was given an ARC from Netgally for an honest review.

    28. I received an ARC of How to Bewitch an Earl by Ally Broadfield in exchange for an honest review. Regency romance conveyed within the classic format of Jane Austin. Isabella is the heroine with the smarts and goodness of heart. Edward is the arrogant, entitled hero.

    29. A very enjoyable read. Edward and Isabella were charming and sweet together and I really loved their interactions and watching them fall in love.

    30. I ended up putting this aside. I had problems with the writing and story. The relationship was awkward at best. I was truly hoping to enjoy this, but hey it happens.
