    1. Interesting! This was an AMAZING account of love at first sight and how duels could be fought and marriages arranged on a whim! Also how obsession love could be for some. ENJOY!

    2. Typical Regency Romance with emphasis on the romance. Takes place after the Napoleonic Wars and was fun. Everyone was innocent except the bad guy! But a nice change of pace!

    3. The Russian visitInteresting time in London and the contrast between the pomp and pageantry. Charming contrast between our hero and heroine. Enjoyable.

    4. Maid, Lady, Viscount, Spy and Love all rolled into one!A Lady in Disguise is a Historical Romance with some suspense involved. It is about a young woman, Lady Emma, who used to live in London but has been raised in Russia by her Aunt and Uncle, a Tsar. She has led a very sheltered life. When she visits London she desire's to be free and just enjoy one day. She dons a maids outfit and sets out to experience London as a commoner only to find that she may not have been as ready to head out alone as [...]

    5. This book was given to Marjorie Mindel on instaFreebie. This is the classic story of a young lady born to the nobility, and itching to escape from her social duties, including marrying a suitable noble chosen by her father.Emma came from England to Russian as an orphan child, was raised in Russia by her mother's sister and the sister's husband, and returns to England as a young woman, as a part of Tzar Alexander's retinue. An arranged marriage which produces no sparks, but an "accidental" meeting [...]

    6. ***Caution: Contains some spoilers***A Lady in Disguise is billed as a Historical Romance but there is also some suspense involved. I really wanted to like this book but it seemed rather long and drawn out. The chemistry of the two main characters seems to fizzle out part way through. The subplot with the previous suitor/next door neighbor leads almost nowhere. I kept expecting things to get dicey but the author neatly wraps it up at the end in one page. I received this book from eBook Discovery [...]

    8. A prelude to peace. As a backdrop to the celebration of Napoleon's defeat in Europe and a visit by Russian dignitaries two lonely people meet in disguise, joined the celebration and in the process fall in love. Everything was ok until after the wedding but as Shakespeare would say, all's well that ends well! Very romantic reading, enjoy!

    9. Great historical romance. The characters just flowed right off the pages and felt like you were right there feeling everything. I was given this story for a honest review.
