    1. I've been a Western Swing fan for perhaps 45 years and have at least 3,000 recordings. This book by a college professor of music is a bit more technical than I can understand, but nonetheless very interesting and fun to read while listening to songs and artists she is discussing. I heard much more in listening to some of the tunes with earphones than I had noticed before, even though I may have heard the songs a dozen (or more) times.
