    1. This journey was completely rushed, the characters had no depth, and one secondary character had no resolution. The "good guys" were perfect with little flaws and the "bad guys" were either 100% bad or 95% bad with 5% of goodness used to benefit the "good guys". Imagine the most cringeworthy cheesy lifetime movie and turn it into a book.Spoiler Ahead: Roni would get beat by her crazy uncle yet showed no emotion, it was weird. The only character with an ounce of emotion was Rob, he moved mountain [...]

    2. I really did like the subject of the book, but there were so many inconsistencies that it ended up being a turn-off. The author needed an editor, and if they had one, they needed a better one. In the story, Jack is present multiple times when Roni is being referred to as female, and he even calls Roni a 'she' himself! But then he's surprised when the Pastor outs Roni as a trans girl? It's a good story, but I wasn't a fan of the inconsistencies and it kind of turns me off from reading anything el [...]
