    1. Teeny Tinka is a sheep the size of a cupcake. The other sheep make fun of her. Every spring a giant purple spider appears on a hill far away, but Tinka is too tiny to see it. Her friend the crow gives her a ride on his back to see the giant purple spider. What she finds on that distant hill changes her perspective and her place among the other sheep.

    2. Rainy Dohaney is an alias used by graphic artist Renee French to write two children's picture books in early 2000. I was first introduced to French through her current children's graphic novel Barry's Best Buddy and thought I'd try her earlier children's work. This is certainly a cute book; having all the essential cute bases covered. It's sweet and if that's the type of picture book you are looking for this will please. However, there wasn't much that interested me here. Barry's BB is waaay bet [...]

    5. Media: Rendered in watercolor and pencilThis book is about a little sheep named Tinka. She is a lot smaller than any of the other sheep, which somtimes makes her feel alone. Some of the other animals made fun of her for being so little. She had a best friend Sooty, who always made her feel better.

    6. Tinka is so tiny she can't see anything, but she wants to see the purple "spider" on the hill, that turns out to be a huge patch of wildflowers. Good discussion points about being small, friends and nature in the spring.

    7. This is a really sweet book, and I loved Tinka the sheep (who was adorably drawn and as small as a cupcake), and parts of this book really worked. But other parts just didn't work at all. Like the end.

    8. A sweet message for kids! Great animal medicine for grown ups! I read this because I had a dream where I heard the word 'Tinka' I found this book. It definitely had a cool message for me and it makes sense with what the dream was telling me. An amazing happenstance!

    9. This is an adorable book about Tinka, a sheep the size of a cupcake and her adventures with her friend Sooty the crow. Very cute story and illustrations.
