  1. review also found at kristineandterri/2I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. The expected publication date is February 2nd, 2016 If I am going to be completely honest about this story I must admit that the most overwhelming wors to describe how I felt about it is angry. The story for me had as much of a split personality as the twins featured in it. I was really excited at the start of this story. It appeared to have a really [...]

  2. With its refreshingly innocent, sweet book cover, this NetGalley reviewer was intrigued enough by the synopsis to give this one a try. Once again the adage you can’t judge a book by its cover is upheld. So many different types of covers/more appropriate titles come to mind, I’m not sure where to start. A tale of twin brothers, perhaps? One was a wolf in Armani clothing. A deceptively manipulative prosecuting attorney, who was jealous, power/money hungry, and ultimately willing to kill, if ne [...]

  3. I really hate writing bad reviews but I can't avoid it with this book. It's really too bad because the story had such promise. There's the suspense of who killed a young child. There's the spark of attraction between the defense attorney and the DA prosecuting the case. So many ways this story could go. Unfortunately, there are so many twists, turns, and surprises that none of it really makes sense. It seems like the author had all these ideas and threw all of them in. I really think better edit [...]

  4. Ever finish a book, and wonder what did I just read?! That's the feeling I am having right now, as I am trying to find the words what I thought about the story. It started strong, Grace is a string, capable, sassy, smart, and successful with her career. There's an interesting murder case she's handling, and an intriguing, if a little odd pair of twins interested in her. Even though the story was told in first person, and only from Grace's point of view (something I don't normally like), I thought [...]

  5. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. After reading Keats and Joss's story I was excited to return to Storybook Lake, but was sadly disappointed. I have to give this one 2.5 stars. !.) this did not take place in Storybook and granted you are there for a whole minute then right back to Texas. 2.) Blane was so weird.a smart lawyer didn't pick up on the crazy right away? 3.) Twin brother who is a cop and is equally in love with you at first sightuhm hello creepy right? Grace has mo [...]

  6. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book. This is my first book by Melissa Shirley. By the cover and the blurb about this book I was looking forward to reading it. It was different and like someone else said, once I finished it I was wondering what did I just read?I'm sorry, this book was a train wreck for me.
