    1. If you’re into chick lit, you’re probably familiar with an author Carole Matthews. She’s one of the most known writers of women’s fiction, with (I think) 30 novels written. Also, her stories always come within the most adorable covers, so it’s hard not to pay attention to her work.Being devoted reader of women’s fiction, I wanted to read her work for the longest time. After few years of putting it off, I decided it was about time to finally grab one of those gorgeous paperbacks and star [...]

    2. I really enjoyed this Christmas read. The characters are lovely and the story doesn't quite go the way I was expecting, which I was glad of - sometimes chick-lit can be a bit predictable. A good read to put you in the Christmas mood - I recommend it.

    3. A lovely sweet read, so much chocolate, I must have put on pounds just reading this book, I do love the characters in this series.

    4. Another great book in the set about the chocolate lovers club, this is a book about the girls running the shop and then get a set of bad news before Xmas. It all comes good in the end.

    5. Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love Carole Matthews, especially The Chocolate Lovers' and their numerous outings. This isn't my favourite of Carole's books but it's certainly a good read and definitely gets you in the Christmas spirit. There are some funny bits which had me smiling, along with heartache, friendship and of course lots of chocolate along the way. A nice read, lovely writing and a great bunch of characters. Can't wait for the next instalment.3.5 stars!

    6. I love The Chocolate Lovers. Can't wait to read The Wedding. What I love about these books is everyone in a group of chocoholic friends has their own story. Clearly there will be more in The Wedding.

    7. Although I thought it was a bit slow it was impossible to put down in the end. As with the other books in the series I was disappointed I'd come to the end and have to wait for next one to come out.

    8. Really enjoyed this book, although not as Christmassy I felt as her last three Christmas books, all of which I have absolutely adored.

    9. The Chocolate Lovers' are back in this all new book, after a very long wait. And that I think was part of my problem initially with the story. It picks up I believe not too far after the end of The Chocolate Lovers' Diet, but in real terms, I think its been at least 7 years since I read the first two books of the series, and that is far too long to expect me to remember the details and personalities of four very different characters. And unlike another book I read recently which started with a l [...]

    10. Lucy and her friends, Chantal, Nadia and Autumn are all bound by their love of chocolate, often meeting in the chocolate-themed shop and café, Chocolate Heaven, which Lucy manages. Lucy adores her job but it often leaves her exhausted and she feels she is neglecting her partner, Aiden. And their relationship is strained further when her ex arrives back on the scene.New mum Chantal is also exhausted as she tries to get to grips with parenting. Her baby is five months old and she feels being pare [...]

    11. jerasjamboree/2015/1It was fabulous to be back with our four women. They've come such a long way from those early days in The Chocolate Lover's Club. It's just like growing up with your own friends :)If you haven't read any of The Chocolate Lovers' novels though don't worry. Carole gives just enough back story for readers so it all makes sense. Having said that, you might want to go back to the first book, it is worth it.In the run up to Christmas, Lucy has been managing Chocolate Heaven for 9 m [...]

    12. This is the third book in the chocolate Lovers' series by Carole Matthews and I have read them all. Consistently a feel good read, although the girls inevitably get into scrapes, it does seem to all come good in the end. Just until you reach the end of the book, when new twists and turns are woven and you realise there are more tales to be told - in another book!I really wanted to know what happened to the girls since I left them in the Chocolate Lovers' Diet. The book however does stand alone a [...]

    13. I'm not sure why I didn't manage to read this one before- but when I was lucky enough to get a copy of the next book I decided to read them together.Four friends meet regularly at the cafe that Lucy runs- Chocolate Heaven. We can delight in the amazing chocolately treats that come through the door. They discuss everything that is worrying them and try to put the world to rights. But are they hiding their deepest fears from their closest friends?I loved the relationship that they shared, and was [...]

    14. Loved it!! Once again Carole Matthews has a winner. Christmas is coming to Chocolate Heaven, and Lucy, Nadia , Autumn and Chantal are ready, well sort of,, Lucy is finding it hard to spend time with Aiden, her boyfriend, as she is looking after Chocolate Heaven for her friends, while they are away, Nadia is unsure of her feelings for Jacob, Chantal and her husband Ted, are bessoted with baby Lana. That leaves Autumn, who is struggling, as she is trying to deal with a tragedy, so very lose to home, [...]

    15. All of Carole Matthews books are brilliant, this one was brilliant too. It follows on from Carole's previous books called 'The Chocolate Lover's Club' and then the second book is called 'The Chocolate Lover's diet. I loved catching up with the women from the other two books I feel like I am part of the gang and I wish I was as I could more than happily eat chocolate every day especially in a crisis. I would love to have Lucy's job but I don't think much chocolate or cake would be left for the cu [...]

    16. This could easily be classified as a chick lit or something of the sort, and its literary merit is questionable, but I simple loved this book. Sometimes I give a book 5 stars just because I enjoyed it so much and this is one of those. It is the perfect book to read around Christmas. It is easy to read, easy to follow, and, maybe less of a merit, slightly predictable. I was taken up by the stories of the four girls, around whom this story revolves. Call me a bad student of English, but I loved th [...]

    17. Ok, I know that I am a slow reader but I was griped by this book from the outset. It may have taken me a while to read due, to fitting in my reading around my own projects, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I found myself cheering, commiserating, complaining, sympathising or just plain page turning wanting to know the outcome of each event throughout the book. I can highly recommend this book and am very much looking forward to reading the next book in the series, as curiosity has got the better of m [...]

    18. A fabulous warm festive read of friendship, romance, laughter and of course chocolate. It was wonderful reading about The Chocolate Lovers' Club again, it felt like catching up with old friends. The perfect Christmas read to curl up with but make sure you have a plentiful supply of chocolate.

    19. I gave up reading this, I just couldn't bring myself to carry on with it. Not one of Carole's best offerings.

    20. Absolutely loved this book-the third in the Chocolate Lovers series.I can't wait to read the Chocolate Lovers' Wedding!

    21. I love Christmas stories and “The Chocolate Lovers’ Christmas” is a good one. It is the tale of four friends who meet at Chocolate Heaven, a café that specializes in chocolate products of all kinds. My favourite character is Lucy Lombard, the Manager of Chocolate Heaven, and the lynch-pin for the group of friends. She is ditzy but loveable, loyal and funny. There are many laugh-out-loud moments contained in the scenes Lucy is in. Not that her life isn’t without its problems and challeng [...]

    22. Few years ago I've read and totally enjoyed the first two books in the Chocolate Lovers' series, so when I heard that Carole Matthews is writing not one, but TWO new books about the four friends, I was over the moon. I mean, lovely friendship and tons of chocolate in one book - nothing could beat it, right? I was so hoping to re - read both previous books in preparation for the new one, because well, it's been few years already, but as always life got in the way and my re - read will have to wai [...]

    23. Once again Carole Matthews has brought the girls, and their other halves, alive in this beautifully descriptive novel. I love how Carole Matthews describes the surroundings and the emotions of the people. They each have a personality that you really feel you get to know in this series and you can really connect with one of them. I think there is part of everyone in them. I related to so many things they were going through, the good and bad stuff so for me it was 11 out of 10 amazing. Please don' [...]

    24. I love this series! I find myself wanting to curl up with a steaming mug of something and a chocolate bar while I read it! I did find Lucy a tad annoying at times in this instalment though for some reason. And so now I must go and boil the kettle, snuggle under the duvet and start The Chocolate Lovers' Wedding - with an organic almond chocolate bar within reach! Yay, I can't wait to read it!

    25. Great book! I wanted to be friends with this group of friends a lovely read with the highs and lows of life and shared with friends with plenty of chocolate and coffee, definitely one of my favourite Carole Matthews book with previous books leading to this book.

    26. Loved this book ,light hearted and full of humour for lovers of choc lit its a must I think I am going to join the chocolate lovers club !
