    1. 5 StarsGrowing Up God's Way is a practical, day-to-day training guide for raising Christian children. While I did not agree with every aspect in its entirety, I anticipate applying much of what the author states when my own children come around. The education of a child is covered in a Biblical fashion, from the spiritual to the practical to the emotional. Scripture is constantly given to lend credence to the author's opinions. While there was a majority of this book that I found to be really solid and helpful, I did take exception when it came to the section on 'the sins of the fathers' being passed down to the children. I understand the premise, the danger, and the warning. However, in the New Testament we are told that fathers and sons are not held responsible for the sins of the other.     3. I think this book is a great help in knowing how to create boundaries for children & disciplining them with love but firmness. Where the book falls short is in working with the child's heart. It tends to major on outward behavior and not address the inward in an in-depth manner.
