    1. As the editor and author of four stories in this bad boy, I'm clearly biased, but I do like to write a review for my titles here on , if only to talk about them from my viewpoint.I love this book. I love it because it's the words and ideas of others yet set in the world of my creation. It's akin to watching someone else cook in your kitchen, using ingredients you bought but making something different and still wonderful. It's a helluva ride.I hope all the stories inside Unhappy Endings entertain [...]

    2. This is a collection of stories told with the world Chris Philbrook created in the Adrian's Undead Diary series as the backdrop. Fans, both published authors and unpublished fanatics, have contributed to tell other stories from "that day" and the fallout thereafter. As a result, some stories may not be as well written as you are used to, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good story anyway. Chris has even brought a new character into the fold that I have a feeling we may see more of he and his gro [...]

    4. I wish I could give it 3.5 stars. There were a few stories that I loved and I'd give a solid 5 stars, but there were also some stories I struggled to even finish and would only give 2 stars. I suppose there are only so many ways to talk about "that day" so some of the stories were predictable and something any zombie genre fan has already read a version of before. The end result of a some of the stories was simply because the main character was incredibly stupid. It was just hard to swallow. On [...]

    5. My original Unhappy Endings audiobook review and many others can be found at Audiobook Reviewer.Unhappy Endings edited by Chris Philbrook is a collection of sixteen short stories (one story has four parts) which all take place in the universe of Adrian’s Undead Diary (AUD) series created by Mr. Philbrook. If you haven’t read the series I strongly suggest you do before reading Unhappy Endings. Several of the stories have direct enough references to AUD that they contain subtle spoilers within [...]

    6. I'll admit it: I AM A JUNKIE. I am a junkie of the Adrian's Undead Diary zombiverse. How so?I lost productivity at work when I 1st discovered AUD and ripped through what had been posted.I lost sleep reading Midnight.I felt like I lost a family member reading The Failed Coward.I felt lost when I finished Cassie.I lost my mind that some of the AUD Fan Fiction stories on the site were never finished, much like I felt the story wasn'tUnhappy Endings is a fresh needle in the hot spoon of AUD. This boo [...]

    7. I just changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. The more I thought about the concept and how Philbrook put it together, the more I loved it.I suppose these stories all started as fanfic. But this is no ordinary fanfic. It's elevated. The writing is uneven at times, to paraphrase Philbrook, some have great stories to tell, and others are great storytellers. Some are both. The best, in my opinion, take an element or scene from AUD and "turn the camera around" or reverse the point of view…revealing j [...]

    8. Being one of the authors within Unhappy Ending I may be a bit biased in that I loved the book, but look at it this way, I only contributed a small part of an overall good book to read. It is always interesting to see various peoples take on a much larger story, what they focus on, the horror, the desperation, or the comedy of the situation. All in all many hours were spent enjoying the ride these stories took me on.It also speaks volumes that these stories were even given the chance of reaching [...]

    9. Stand alone short stories. If you love "first day" and "outbreak" zombie stories you will love this collection from various writers with Philbrookian taste. One note, some of the stories and characters are left a bit open ended so if that bothers you - you've been warned. A couple of them are not for the faint of heart either - these are serious zombie stories. No sex - thank heavens, plenty of gore, and you don't have to have read Philbrook's other works to enjoy this one. I would certainly buy [...]

    10. Great AdditionWhether your new to Adrian's Undead Diary or a long time follower you'll enjoy Unhappy Endings. Whether it's Chris's Eddie Smith stories bridging the gap between Cassie and his next series or one of the many other stories printed within, you'll be entertained. So many good stories. I know. I counted.

    11. It was fun to get into the world of Adrian's Undead Diary, even though most stories had more to do with zombies than AUD. In most, the reference to the spiritual aspect of the story was little more than a nod.As usual with anthologies, some stories are far better than others. But, overall, worth the time.

    12. After adding books to owned books[shelf provides] I lost ratings and review. Will attempt to add the review. Books won on giveaways that is missing review due to this are books I have enjoyed. On a later date I will attempt to remember what I have written about them and will rewrite them.

    13. This a great collection of fan fiction set in the Adrian's Undead Diary (AUD) world. I found I enjoyed the pieces immensely and this is an absolute must for an fan of the AUD series. It was exciting to read about what was going on in the other parts of the AUD world when the SHTF. I look forward to more installments from the AUD fans.

    15. This was a very good read. These stories were written by amateurs, but some of them are so good you can't tell. If you like zombies, and you aren't looking for something too long, then I definitely recommend this book.

    16. Great stories!I usually don't care to much for compilations, but this one is great. All these fan fiction shorts are in there own ways wonderful.
