  1. I enjoyed this book. It was a historical novel of three generations of women facing the challenges of time and culture. The story begins in Jerusalem, in the early 1900's, and concludes in Georgetown around 1960.

  2. Kind of tragic, but I enjoyed the story. Realize I know nothing about Jerusalem and Britain in the early 1900s.

  3. Really enjoyed this book. Had a hard time putting it down. Ending was a bit disappointing, but still recommend it.

  4. Luscious writing. And so insightful to the history of struggle in this region. Wish there were more like it.
