    1. I loved this book, and did not want to put it down tell it was finished. I could relate to Eloise. I was disappointed with some of the out comes but felt that it was very true to life how the characters reacted to the events in the story.

    2. Eloise is a go getter. It seems that whatever way she looks at her goals, success is at the top of the list. She is driven and focused, so success in business comes smoothly to her. She pushes herself hard and she is competitive. When her excellent track record and unmistakable talent put her in the running for a an opportunity that will not only fast track her career but shoot her to the top third of the corporate ladder, she is thrilled. Not everyone is as delighted with the news as she is. 3. Eloise has almost everything she ever dreamed of. A great job that pays well, a family that loves her, and a man who loves her unconditionally. None of these things came without hard work. Eloise grew up without her mother and then raised and put through school her younger brother and sister. Mostes and Eloise have been together for years. Now, Eloise has the most amazing opportunity with her job and she wants nothing more than for Moses and her sister, Lori, to join her on the journey. Even tho [...]

    4. This is the story of Eloise Grant, who is driven and smart. Then she has the chance to take an amazing opportunity to work in Tokyo. Her man, Moses becomes her fiance - only to find out they do not agree on some really important things. This book wrenches your heart when you hear how amazing Eloise is to all. Her family, her job, her man, literally everything! So she gets to take advantage of the Tokyo opportunity early and go with her boss to handle a mess. What happens you ask? Well, her family [...]

    5. Wow, I loved this story. It brought back memories of my years of working in a fast, driven company where women had to work twice as hard as men to get recognized for their abilities, and Eloise, the main character in this story, sure knew what she had to do to get the job opportunities that she craved so much. As I gaze at the cover of this book, I remember Eloise's drive as she gave up so much of her life to ensure that her younger brother and younger sister had the opportunities in life that w [...]

    6. By what we love by Charlene Carr is a pull at your emotions kind of novel.A love/hate relationship with the lead character brings frustration and tension to the read.Relatable human tendencies explored through rash decisions and blind belief in the past.Heart wrenching and unpredictable at times while still teetering on the predictable at other moments.Eloise is a workaholic; she’s raised her siblings and nows her chance to further her career. There is only one problem- a snag in her plans.Lif [...]

    7. This was a very well written book that touched on real life problems that women have in the workforce and balancing your home and family life. It kept you guessing through the whole book on how everything was going to turn out. You may not always like the stuff happening and I did shed a few tears but that is what life is like but if you have family and friends one way or the other things will work out. Definitely worth the read.

    8. Really enjoyed this third installment in the series about a group of friends finding happiness in life. Eloise is the workaholic of the bunch- and a move to Japan may not be the dream job she imagined if it means leaving her loved ones behind. These books can be ready in order or as stand Alones.

    9. This book has everything I have come to expect from Charlene Carr. It's smart, entertaining, complex, and satisfying. Eloise was only touched on in the previous book so I didn't know much about her, other than she was a good friend and successful business woman. Her life is very different from the other two heroines from the previous books. But as with the other books in the series, I felt like I got to know her. There wasn't an over use of flashbacks. All references to the past made sense and h [...]

    10. I really liked this book and the character, Eloise. I thought she and Moses had a great relationship and I was somewhat disappointed with their arguments and the decisions that they made in the end. I am interested in reading future books so that I can know how their lives turned out following their decisions. It was great to see Eloise's father and her younger sister establishing their life and having things working out well for them. Eloise was a loving and caring sister and I admired her for [...]
