    1. *Book source ~ A review copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.Mother Gaia is pissed that her creation is being destroyed by the parasite humans, so she feels it’s time to make an appearance and lay out some smackdown. If you love the earth and try to live as green as possible then this is a great quick read that will have you cheering. I don’t worship Mother Gaia myself or the Goddess and I’m not Christian, but the story resonates with me. If your body is your temple then what [...]

    3. This is one of the most awesome tales I have EVER read! R.L. Baxter has spun a story that transcends time and space, and I predict it will live on for as long as the human race exists. Which brings me back to the story foretold in Mother Gaia. In a world much like our own, the all of humanity has raped the land of every natural resource, plant and animal, and have consistently through millenia done their very utmost best to destroy themselves, as well. The reaction inevitably is that our earthmo [...]

    4. “Mother Gaia” by R. L. Baxter was a different type of dystopian story which bordered between Christian fiction and science fiction. Quite suitable since Baxter chose to weave in science fact with religious doctrine.I must say I liked how Baxter used imagery. His descriptions were quite evocative. I even enjoyed the concept of an evil physical entity zapping the world’s resources. At no point, however, was it apparent at how far in the future this story was set. It could have easily be a pr [...]

    5. Mother Gaia is amazing! I mean by the third page I was hooked and not because Mother Gaia totally destroyed those guys, "My grudge comes from their senseless acts that destroy each other and themselves, even though they possess a brain that allows them to think on levels higher than all the animals of nature." I love how well Mother Gaia is written. It's really what I would imagine her being like. The purpose of this story is just plain out awesome. I enjoyed when Mother Gaia was introduced to M [...]

    6. Mother Gaia is so good! I love how fierce she is when she returns to end the human race. Despite her beauty, she is raging with anger inside for she has seen her children (nature) suffer from the hands of greedy humans. I was in awe of how her footsteps created lushness in place of destruction. Mr. Baxter has created vivid imagery with his words and had me, as a reader, on the edge of my seat. This story is not far at all from the reality we live in. It is a grand reminder how we should respect [...]
