    1. American Jackal: Is the first in a series of thrillers for Psychiatrist Troy Stoker M.D. Without a doubt, authors Dr. Francis Bandettini & Matt Nilsen, have a first rate character on their hands. This was one of those books that got me knotted up with suspense. It’s a love/hate feeling I get when reading sometimes. Several times, I could feel my own anxiety in some of the more intense scenes. The writing is exceptional, because not only did it keep me on my toes, but the characters are so [...]

    2. This book is full of fast paced action that drew me in from the very start. I read it almost entirely in one sitting! In this novel Dr. Stoker gets drawn into a dark world of drug cartels and government corruption when one of his patients accidentally stumbles into it herself. Dr Stoker reaches out to Errol Rivera a fellow physician and his friend for assistance in navigating the situation. I feel like the amount of political intrigue verses action is balanced perfectly. The fast scenes in the b [...]

    3. I'd highly recommend this book to anyone interested in thrillers. I knew from the beginning it was going to be a good book. The characters were incredibly interesting and complimented each other very well. Not only was the plot compelling, but the writing was phenomenal and created the perfect sense of tension and suspense. The dialogue was realistic, rather than coming across as staged. It was so detailed and well-written, something I love but don't see very often these days. It definitely exce [...]

    4. This is the best book I've read in a while. I actually read through it twice. Thank you author for making a fantastic full-length, rich story. Getting a little tired of novellas. If you're looking for a thriller with a compelling backstory and killer dialogue look no further. This is a multilayered story that's well worth your time. I enjoyed some of the tongue-in cheek humor.I'd recommended this book to any reader that loves an adventure story. The characters are well-written and just jump off [...]

    5. This book was definitely a page turner!! Kept me excited until the very end and loved all the characters and how they fit together. Hopefully a sequel comes out soon because I am a Troy Stoker fan. =)P.S. Don't let the small amount of text/grammatical errors sour you towards this book. They do not detract from the storylines and character development and can easily be overlooked.

    6. What an excellent and mind blowing thriller! I am completely hooked. The author has such a brilliant imagination that will take you on quite a wild ride. He writes with such detail that you can picture the characters in your head, and every scene pops from the pages. It is an amazing read for both old-time thriller readers or anyone new to this genre. It is such a beautifully written novel that can give readers a sense of place inhabited by characters of depth. There are so many different twists [...]

    7. What started to be a very engrossing thriller started sliding downhill quickly. The storyline has great promise and for the most part character development held true to the plot lines. But between the subplots that brought me around on a carousel ride sometimes went so far left of the story that had me scratching my head wondering why was that there? Then the errors not caught by proofing, spellcheck or basic editing distracted me from the important storyline. Some sentences did not make sense a [...]

    8. This is the best book that I have ever read! It keeps you on the edge of your seat, and sometimes squirming. There are some very funny one liners in there also. I especially loved the use of the word "THYROID" by one disgruntled female a lot. I am not kidding this is so action packed, and has you going "oh no, what's gonna happen", kind of like people who talk to the tv, like they are going to listen. I would definitely love to read many more by this author. He is really funny and he transfers t [...]
