    1. This is a sweet little story about a dragon child who can't learn to fly and gets left behind when all the other dragons migrate to other lands. Poor little dragon child has a hard time because his wings are too small, and everyone is exasperated with him and losing their patience waiting for him to fly.He befriends a bird, who tries to teach him flying lessons, and an orphan girl, who brings him a lot of comfort in friendship.I expected more from this little book, since I have enjoyed many of t [...]

    3. A sweet read for my younger students who are just getting interested in chapter books, fantasy and dragons. A young dragon born late in the year does not learn to fly by the time the dragons leave for their homeland. This year, they will not ever return to the land of his birth. Young Dando meets a bird and a slave girl who work to free him when he is captured by humans trying to settle at his home. When doggins show up, Dando has to do something to save the bird and the slave girl. Will he fina [...]

    4. This is about a dragon who can’t fly. And his family is leaving the island for good. His mother decides to stay with him until the next day. She said that Dando would have to ride on her back and it was a dangerous ride. For the first few minutes of their flight, Dando falls off his mother and is left alone on the island. But he isn’t all alone. He has his friend, a bird. Strange creatures are coming to the island. You will have to read the book to find out what happens next!

    5. the summary for this book is in this fantasy world theirs dragons, welkins, doggins, and a speical prisioner. The dragons are known for being enemys to humans and doggins ,but some of that change .ke the dragons are now friends with humans and the can know coomunicate, and understand each other, but the dragons are still enemys with doggins.I would recomend this book if you like fantasy books, and excitement, and action, and unknown eventents.

    6. I read this book aloud with Rhys. It is the version and is cut out to look like the dragon. Rhys is in kindergarten and very taken with dragons. He enjoyed it very much. He got a little sad during part of it, so we talked through it. It is a wonderful book about resilience and friendship.

    7. A short and sweet story of a baby dragon who is left behind when all the other dragons leave because he can't fly yet. The beginning of this especially reminded me of Bambi, only with a dragon. A great beginning chapter book and introductory dragon story for younger students.

    8. First book of Jenny Nimmo's that I read. I'll probably try her "Charlie Bone" series since I enjoyed this one.

    9. This was a nice little book about a baby dragon who gets lost and must learn how to fly.My kids really liked the story, which wasn't too scary and had a surprise hero in the end.

    10. Reading this with my almost 6 year old daughter. She is really enjoying it as one of her first chapter books.

    11. A cute children's story about a young dragon that is left behind when the Dragons leave for their homeland. A nice small story even if you are not the target audience ;)

    12. Read with my six year old. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Climax, if it could be called one, happened about three pages from end of book. Seemed to not really end as much as just stopped. Eh.

    13. Read this book in about an hour, a good read, with some oddments, but I liked it. Gave me an idea for my own story.

    14. This book is targeted to younger readers. I found it enjoyable. I picked it up at a book fair for my kids and decided to read it. I really like Jenny Nimmo. All of her books have been excellent.
