    1. This book portrays a girl with the least common sense I have ever come across. Ever. In any book I have ever read. I'm talking thousands. If she isn't the most moronic, then she certainly hits the top 5. But, I digress. The Twisted Window introduces us to Brad. Brad is a teenage boy casing out the local high school in a small town. He doesn't attend this high school, oh no. He is there to recruit a girl to assist him in his master plan. Edward Cullen has got nothing on this boy.Brad settles on 1 [...]

    2. The Twisted Window is a thriller about a young girl named Tracy Lloyd. Tracy lives with her aunt and uncle because, after her mother was killed, her father didn't feel like he was about to care for her. She is bitter and angry with her life. She meets an attractive new kid named Brad and asks a huge favor of her. His little sister has been taken by his stepfather and Brad wants to get her back. Tracy agrees, not thinking much about the possible consequences. It's his sister after all, so it's no [...]

    3. The back cover really didnt give me much to go off of. I thought this book would be about a stalker/killer, but it wasnt that at all. The was partly a disappointment to me.This book was a nice quick easy read but not something I loved.I felt there were many unanswered questions at the end which bothered me. I liked the idea of the book but I think it could have been more thought out and explained or taken even more twists and turns through out

    4. Actual rating - 2.5I didn't like the main character in this. She was an idiot.I didn't enjoy this one. I thought it was dull, and with the main character being a complete idiot, a lot of it was annoying. I'm really glad this one was only short, because it definately would have dragged badly otherwise.

    5. I've never read anything written by Lois Duncan before and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. It is a page turner and you have to read until the last chapter to receive the answers to your questions: Why and when has Brad became so disturbed and what exactly happened to Mindy, his little sister? The story begins with Brad searching for a particular type of girl to help him out. We don't know why and what his plan is (for a few pages I actually thought he was a murderer wh [...]

    6. This was a good book, I like the twist it has in the story. Turns out that Brad is crazy, should have known. Its crazy that Jamie turned out to be a girl. I thought she was a guy honestly.

    7. Lois Duncan delivers a great Young Adult thriller with just the right amount of creepy-woo-woo factor, from the very start when a new boy at school “chooses” a special girl for reasons unknown. So far, I’m there in the story, ready to go! But from that point, as Brad reveals his “mission” to Tracy Lloyd, a teen dissatisfied with her current life, the two of them jump headfirst into danger and intrigue as Tracy decided to help Brad get his baby sister back from the man who took her. But [...]

    8. There’s a trend in YA fiction about unhealthy relationships and the characters are blind to how abnormal the attraction is between a girl and a boy. When we’re first introduce to Tracy and the guy watching her, THE TWISTED WINDOW seems to follow that trend. Then the book switches to his point of view and he exhibits all signs of a sociopath.Run. Tracy. Run.Tracy doesn’t run, but she does have some hesitation about getting to know him. He seems to know too much about her. He shows up at her [...]

    9. When Brad, the new kid at school, approaches Tracy for help, she is reluctant. He wants her to help him get back his little sister, Mindy, who, he claims, has been kidnapped by his ex-stepfather. Tracy doesn't know him and parts of his story don't add up. Shouldn't he go the cops, his mother, anybody in authority? But Brad has a perfectly good explanation for all her objections. Finally, after seeing the beautiful little girl and, if she is being honest, partly because she is angry with her aunt [...]

    10. I joined NetGalley, saw this book by Lois Duncan and thought perfect! I'll read one of her books! I LOVED her when I was younger!I was all prepared to write an absolutely scathing review, and then I checked the copyright date. I feel a little relieved knowing that it was originally written in 1987 and this must just be her publishers trying to drum up popularity for an out of date writer. Unsuccessful. My only slightly scathing review: It was terrible. The characters were flat, the descriptions [...]

    11. This is an easy read and will hold student's attention as only Lois Duncan can. Add this title to your collection and recommend it to teachers looking for good mysteries for readers who cannot read AND THEN THERE WERE NONE by Christie.

    12. when you see the cover of this book you would think it was a disturbed horror novel, but it is actually not. and it is a great book! pretty short entertaining read FULL of surprises!

    13. The Twisted Window was OK. It definitely wasn't life-changing, and many parts of it would frustrate me, but it isn't completely awful or anything. My real rating would probably be closer to 2.5 stars than to 3 but I'm rounding it up since GoodReads doesn't get that specific. The parts of The Twisted Window that I liked (and this is actually a common thread within my reading habits) were when we got to see more of the adult perspective. In on chapter, we get to hear the thoughts that the parents a [...]

    14. The twisted window is by lois duncan and is a very intense book. It takes place in winco Texas and Albuquerque New Mexico. In winco Brad, the main character, goes to try and find his sister that was taken by his stepfather. He could not do it alone though so he stopped by the high school to find someone to help him get his sister back. The person he choses is tracy. Tracy is a high school student that decided to help him. They end up going through a lot to try and get his sister back. And now to [...]

    16. Tracy Lloyd. Just a normal girl in a normal high school with normal friends. Nothing different or strange about her. She’s smart and pretty just like most girls in her high school. She has a normal family and a normal home. So why did Brad Johnson choose her to help him carry out his unintentionally sinister plan? Now I introduce you to the book The Twisted Window, by Lois Duncan (copyright 1987, 183 pages). If you are looking for an exciting mystery this could be the book for you. This novel c [...]

    17. It's a very good book, however the descriptive in the characters and enviroment is what makes the book readable, and enjoyable. Rather than the actual story. The plot, and everything seems cliche, you expect it to happen, or even seemed to obvious. Nonetheless, its a well thought idea, however to make my point clear. The descriptives in this book is a must.

    18. To me this was a ok book it was on the better side of books that I read because the story line was a good one I feel like its a somewhat reasonable story and its telling something that can happen in the real world. And the characters all make the book better in total I thought this a book I would read by myself.

    19. I thought it was a good book because it had a good story to it and also interesting characters. It was entertaining because there was a bunch of clues, mysteries, and drama about boyfriends and family. The characters I liked in the book that made this a good story was Tracy and Brad just because there the main characters and they also have interesting life stories.

    20. Pro: Good book to read to make time fly while running on a treadmill.Con: No common sense! The main character's lack of common sense drove me crazy. I really hope my teenagers are smarter than this.

    21. This book was alright for a light read it wasn't very challenging. I adpated to the circumstances for which Brad was in and he was very hard to read. All though it was a book that I was forced to read it was quite nice.

    22. I thought the book was really good. I was first bored at the begining, but then it started to get more intense. This book has a lot of twist and turns and the ending was just so unpredictable abd that is what makes it great.

    23. Twisted Window is a very good book that i enjoyed. I really liked the characters and progress through the story. And i really liked all the twist and turns in the book and all the shocking things that happend in Twisted Window

    24. Disliked the entire book, wasn't a fan of the book as a whole and honestly wouldn't recommend it. Oh by the way, the sister was ran over and whats his name thought gavin killed her etc. dude was absolute nut job book sucked etc.

    25. That Brad got help from Tracy and tracy change the girl and she didn't have scar like Brad siad and she was think it seem like she was nervous. Then Tracy went to the restroom and told Brad mother and she got information that her sister had dead 3 month ago.

    26. This book was good, brad is really crazy he killed his little sister and tried to kidnap some other little girl that looked like her because you know why not and when jamie came along i honestly thought it was a guy but is was a girl?

    27. Its about a girl name Tracy. She gets tricked into helping a boy (Brad) to find his sister. Brad is a bit out of it, because of what he went through but that doesn't give him a right to do what he did.

    28. The plot was nice. I felt like it was a little rushed toward the end, and it could have been a little better with more details and expense. Overall though, the author did have a very unexpected twist.
