    1. This was a First Read book that I was recently won. I enjoyed reading the book. However, I feel there are some definite rough patches and some grammar and wording mistakes that made sections of the book hard to follow. An example of this is using different tenses within the same paragraph. "Vile" was used incorrectly in speaking about a glass tube. It should have been "vial". That error was repeated several times. I think there needed to be some smoothing out of certain scenes and perhaps more [...]

    2. This was a book that I won from the First Reads giveaway. I give this book a 3.5/5. Overall I did enjoy the book. It's just it reminded me too much of Twilight. I understand that this is the author's first novel. The plot and writing was a bit rough, but I know with time, it'll get better. There should have been more backstory of the Eve, fallen, pures, vampires, etc. The plot felt super rushed as if the author wanted to get to the end fight scene.
