    1. Cowboy legends are often spun sitting around camp fires out in the middle of wide open lands where the night sky is bright with twinkling stars. The Legend and Adventures of Bob Wire stem from stories generations old spun by ranchers, oilfield roughnecks, and leather craftsman. Stories told over time can become bigger than when they were first told. Each legend, at its core, has a life lesson weaved through it. The story of Bob Wire is no different. 3. Big, bold text and simple illustrations give this picture book the feel of an easy reader. That is probably the best way to use the book because it reads like one story about Bob Wire's life. For me, the rush through a set of events undermined the depth and colorfulness of what makes tall tales wonderful.Pros: This is a picture book that demonstrates the genre of tall tales for young readers. There's more to our review. 4. I won this book as a give away and got it in last night. We read it to my 2 year old. It wasn't much of a kids book although it was a cartoon type pictured book. The story in it was well, I guess ok for a child. We pointed out things in the pictures more than focused on the story. It was cute, he did enjoy the part about the lightning bolt and the BOOM & EXPLOSION! part. Maybe he'll enjoy it more as he gets older.

    5. This beautiful story gets small imaginations excited. Superhero adventures are what children like to read and emulate. The illustrations made the character come to life.-- Tofts ReviewsI like how Bob saved the day by putting out the fire and the tornado. The illustrations are good. But, why doesn’t Bob have a face?Hannah, age 10
