    1. I like Susan Kearney and her books. I’ve read a few of hers previously and she does a good job of giving her readers a strong plot and narration.A fire destroys Jasmine’s home and her everything is turned into ashes. A mysterious letter dated 25 years ago, rekindles her desire to search for her missing mother, a search that takes into the Moore household, a family that was supposedly related to her and the head of the family Talbot Moore, being her father. But Talbot has been a victim of a f [...]

    2. 2.5 starsOne of the disadvantages of having a book review blog is that occasionally you get caught up in reading and forget to write the review. A backlog occurs, and, before you know it, you owe nearly twenty reviews. As you commence writing them, you see a title that looks unfamiliar. You look it up on the galley provider's website, and still you're unfamiliar. You open it up on your e-reader, scroll through twenty or so pages, and then it comes back to you. A bit fuzzy, a but hazy, but now y [...]

    3. The blurb promoting this book read like an old school gothic romance. Since I absolutely loved that style as a teen, I was excited to check out this story. Jasmine is the primary focus of the story. Out of the seeming blue, she loses her home and home business to arson and almost immediately discovers through a returned letter that she has family she never knew about. As any decent gothic story needs, this story has an enormous old house, Moore House, replete with strange noises and weird happen [...]

    4. A copy was provided by the author for an honest review.Mystery, danger, off the charts chemistry, creepy house whats not to like? Secrets of Moore House was a mystery romance that actually kept me guessing. I must have changed my mind about who the villain was at least four times. The jump from Jasmine’s house burning down to ending up at her long-lost-father’s house seemed too quick and impulsive as the much of rest of the timeline did. Jasmine meets her family she never knew about after a [...]

    5. Jasmine Ross had always dreamed of finding her birth family. When she was very young her Mother leaves and never comes back she has never known her father. Jasmine awakens one night to smoke, her house is on fire and gasoline has been poured in front of all exits to prevent her from escaping. She manages to get out, but is suspected of setting the fire herself. When she receives a letter written by her Mother years ago that was lost in the mail marked return to sender, she reads the letter and d [...]

    6. I received a digital copy in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley and Belle Books. Secrets of Moore House was a great story but I felt it was too short and rushed. I wish there had been more information and more detail because I enjoyed it so much. I really tend to favor Susan Kearney's writing because its typically unique and different than most stories that I read. I wish that more had been explored because there was so much fascinating information in the setting and the plot that I wa [...]

    7. Secrets of Moore House was a little different writing style then what I've read before. We got the inner thoughts of both main characters. It took a little getting use to. Some of the story was very predictable but there were enough surprises to make it a good read. I was given a copy to review.

    8. This is such a FUN story - just like the old gothic romances I read as a young teen. Even the cover fits!Readers will like this book. Big creepy house, strange noises, mysterious arsons, and a romance. It's a great read.
