    1. 3 - "I wanted you then, now and later." Stars.Bewitching the Enemy is the first book I have read by Dawn Chartier, but seeing as it is also the first book of the Vieux Carré Witch Sisters series, this time focusing on Storm Morgeaux and Dr. Nathan Davis. I am pretty sure it won't be my last. Initially bought together in a work capacity, Nate senses there is something a little off about his contractor Storm, especially after shaking hands with her, he gets the shock of his life and a branding on [...]

    2. Bewitching the Enemy is an enjoyable paranormal romance featuring witches, warlocks, shifters and Paladins a.k.a warlock hunters. When Storm Morgeaux is late returning home from work she never anticipates the chain of events that will unfold. A chain of events that involves spells, evil warlocks, new found abilities and a sexy doctor. A doctor who just so happens to hunt warlocks on the side. When Storm and Nathan become acquainted in many aspects of their lives, the attraction is instant but so [...]

Adding to her troubles is the fact she accidentally released a series of dark spells. Now evil warlocks are after her family, and she has no idea who she can trust.Nathan's biggest concern is getting his pediatric surgery center up and running. Still, his stunning new contractor provides plenty of distraction―until she sets off h [...]

    4. This review and more can be seen at gothicmoms/Welcome to New Orleans, the largest hotspot for activity in the Paranormal world. Dawn Chartier has created a world in which readers will be stuck until the get to the end. A group of sisters who knew nothing of their families' past are about to find out the hard way that they have magic in their very blood. Problem? By not knowing the power they have locked away inside may not only be their downfall but very likely could get them all killed.Storm M [...]

    5. I liked this one, especially being in NOLA because I live down the road LOL. This one is about 4 sisters who don't know they are witches and one accidentally unleashes some evil spells into the world. All the while real life is also piling up on her plate and there's a HAWT doctor on her trail. It's definitely a fun one and I look forward to more. Storm is our main lady, though we meet her sisters, she's leading a contract on building a new surgical center when her mom gets knocked into a coma, [...]

    6. I'm on the fence with BEWITCHING THE ENEMY. I enjoyed the book overall, but there were a lot of slow moments and moments that didn't keep me engaged. Storm and her sisters don't know about their heritage so when their Mom falls into a coma and some pages fall out of a painting that their grandmother painted Storm has no idea what to do. On top of that Storm is trying to keep her and her sisters construction business from going under and their new client is drawing her in like no one ever has. Na [...]

    7. This is my first time reading this author but most certainly won't be my last. As I read more and more paranormal genre I find it easier and easier to just know what is going to go on next. So when I come across a author that can transport me away keeping me on my toes well I have hit the jackpot. This author did just that as soon as I opened the novel and met Storm whom I thought at first was going to be the normal one. Her along with her sisters run the family business but being late to a fami [...]

    8. ****A gifted copy was provided by the publisher for an honest review****A new fantastic paranormal romance that features witches, warlocks, shifters and warlock hunters. When Storm Morgeaux is late returning home from work she never anticipates the chain of events that will unfold. Her mother ends up in a coma, she ends up with some weird new abilities, she meets the new DR whose clinic she is building and oh by the way, said DR hunts evil creatures who roam where she lives.Dr. Nathan Davis is a [...]

    9. I really wanted to like this book. The blurb is good, as was the opening chapter. But, sadly, it all goes down hill from there. The storyline moves along at a very slow pace, with a lot of vague teasing hints as to what is to come. It appears that more time was spent on manufacturing interruptions—so as to keep the H/h from having an actual conversation—than on actual plot. Ringing phones and knocks at the door are poor examples of ways to build suspense, and unfortunately they are both used [...]

    10. Storm Morgeaux is having a rough time. She is struggling to keep the family construction business afloat. Now her mother collapses when they are doing an annual ritual, but things are going to get a whole lot worse. Storm finds that she is a hybrid (part witch and part warlock) as are her sisters. They are being hunted by an unknown evil. Finally she is attracted to Dr. Nathan Davis who is a Paladin who hunts and kills warlocks as well as her client. What's she going to do? This story is a well [...]

    11. I would like to thank Entangled Publishing, LLC who allowed me to preview this book via Net GALLEY for a fair and honest review.Love thy enemy! This is a fantastic beginning to what I hope will be a phenomenal series following the remaining Morgeaux sisters. The main characters sweep you into the story right away. The sisters are adorable, even with their personality quirks, especially Storm, as they struggle with secrets kept from them their entire lives. Nathan the super-hot hero fights himsel [...]

    12. Storm is struggling to keep her family business afloat and this new contract for a surgery center is what they need. Storm is late for a family meeting and her mother is sent into a magical coma. The problem is that non of her daughters knew that she was a witch or that they were witches. Then Storm lets out some very dangerous dark spells and sends their world into a tail spin. Then Storm meets the sexy good Doctor who is now her boss. She doesn't want to mix business and pleasure but it is rea [...]

    13. Storm is running late because of work to a meeting with her sisters and mother. She arrives in time to see her mother collapse. While at the hospital with her mother she sees a good looking doctor named Nate. Nate is a pediatric doctor who is in the process of getting a surgery center built and he later finds out that it's Storm's family business that is doing the construction on it.Nate has another side to his life which is that he is a Paladin who hunts Warlocks and he Storm and her sisters ar [...]

    14. Bewitching the EnemyI really enjoyed this story. Storm is late for her family’s ritual and her mom ends up in the hospital. She owns a contracting company that is currently restoring a building for Dr. Nathan’s surgical center for children. Her mom hasn't told Storm and her sisters they are witches. Nathan is not only a doctor but also hunts Warlocks. He’s confused by the signals Storm sets off. I thought this story was exciting. In fact I couldn't put it down. The main characters pull you [...]

    15. I enjoyed reading this book and getting to know Storm and her sisters. Their bonds were right and I always love the stories with strong family connections. Storm and Nathan together were perfect together even though they had a hard time giving into their connection, stubbornness. Nathan was a protector, major swoon. He totally believed in his cause but I loved the way he would put his duty aside for Storm. My only complaint on this book was that I would have liked a little more back story on Nat [...]

    16. Evil warlocks are after her family and Storm Morgeaux will have to trust Dr. Nathan Davis – her client who’s torn between loving her…and killing her in this riveting paranormal romance. There is never a dull moment in this fast paced and smooth flowing plot full of intriguing characters and interesting elements that kept me completely bewitched by the story unable to put it down and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.“Copyright Night Owl Reviews”©See my full review at:nighto [...]

    17. I really enjoyed Bewitching the Enemy! This story had a unique plot twist, and one I haven't read before. Dawn Chartier took me on a journey that I was thrilled to be on the entire way. The every day family challenges (sisters will be sisters) in the midst of all the changes Storm had to face made this story real to me. And a hunky doctorum, yeah!!I can't wait to read more about the Palladins, the witches and the warlocks. How soon can we get book 2?

    18. Talk about a love hate relationship. Not only do we have a great paranormal read with witches. warlocks. shifters and morewe also have one sexy doctor / warlock hunter and a very strong female heroine who's part witch, part warlock. The tension is high along with the hormones at times. The best part is the author has left us with an opening for more books on the horizon. I for one can't wait to see what awaits the other sisters.

    19. Okay, first, isn't that a great cover? Dawn has an effortless flow to her writing that sucks the reader into the world of witches who don't know they're witches, killer warlocks, and the Paladins (warlock hunters); and the backdrop of New Orleans. The tension between the Storm and Nate keeps the story moving as he tries to figure out if she's witch or warlock and the dawning realization she might be his mate. If you love light PNRs then this is definitely one not to miss.

    20. What a great new Witch/Warlock series to add to my favorite books. Storm and Nate were fated, but his duty was to terminate her. Add in a few sisters, a crazy raccoon, and New Orleans! Loved it! Dawn knows how to make me turn the page, needing to find out what happens next. But she also left me wanting to know what is going to happen in the next book. Hurry up with book #2!!

    21. This suspenseful paranormal romance is deftly written and is a hot and steamy tale of witches, warlocks, shifters and hybrids.Read full review in the 2015 July/August issue of InD'tale Magazine.

    22. Note to readers: This is Book 1 in the Vieux Carré Witch Sister series. Readers are saying you can read Book 2 and still understand it without reading #1, but there is a time line so it would make a for a better read if you read #1 first. :-) In case you were wondering. Thanks for any and all reviews. Good or bad. I appreciate your valuable time. Thank you!D

    23. Ms. Chartier creates an intriguing and believable world of Witches, Warlocks, and Paladins. Her creative plot kept me riveted to the end and wanting more. Storm and Nate have terrific chemistry that makes the reader root for their relationship. Will definitely read the next one!

    24. This book is a great read. Storm and Nathan story is when you meet your soul mate and don't know what to do but works out in the end.

    25. Welcome to New Orleans, the largest hot-spot for activity in the Paranormal world. Dawn Chartier has created a world in which readers will be stuck until the get to the end. A group of sisters who knew nothing of their families' past are about to find out the hard way that they have magic in their very blood. Problem? By not knowing the power they have locked away inside may not only be their downfall but very likely could get them all killed.Storm Morgeaux thinks she has more than enough on her [...]

    26. I love stories that are set in New Orleans so I was excited when I saw that this series was set in the Vieux Carré! (Because I saw mentioned in some reviews that people did not know what Vieux Carré was well, that's the French Quarter, the oldest neighborhood in New Orleans!) Now that I am a New Orleanian, I just love reading these stories because I can picture things happening in all my familiar places. Driving down St. Charles, walking through the residential section of Bourbon, NOMA, etc. A [...]

    27. A book as indicated by the title about witchcraft. There are witches, warlocks and some people called Palladins dedicated to killing all the warlocks who as a rule practise dark magic and are therefore bad.The book is set in current day New Orleans badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina with the witch owning a construction firm (her sisters also were part owners although their roles seemed to be very slight) and trying to keep it afloat in a market where there was little building due to the state of [...]

    28. 2 starsBewitching the Enemy is not as bewitching as it should be. This first installment of Vieux Carre Witch series feels like a rip off of Witches of East End. Yes, I watch the TV version even just some episodes, and Bewitching the Enemy lack of rich characterization, background and setting. The worldbuilding is so weak and unbelievable. I think that Ms Chartier must cut some part so the pages fulfilled the quota, because I can see that she can develop some part and not make the story too rush [...]

    29. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book was a witchy paranormal romance with a “fated mates” spin. It was a little dark but had a new kind of witch/warlock lore that I was unfamiliar with. You can tell that this book was being used to set up a series to come.Storm is a tomboy type who is definitely not ready to accept any “woo-woo” magic stuff in her life. She’s represents the contractor portion of a group of sisters who own a construction company. I c [...]
