    1. Last year I was pleasantly surprised by Timebound a young adult scifi novel that included time travel, religious zealots, the 1893 Chicago Expo and a serial killer H. H. Holmes. I was equally impressed by the novella Time’s Echo that followed one of the characters from Timebound up until a timeline shift from the beginning of Timebound. I found Time’s Edge to be even better than Timebound. There were more interesting time jumps, less learning how to time travel (which affected the pacing of [...]

    2. Wow!! I seriously have goosebumps all over from that ending!! Way to leave us NEEDING that last book right NOW! In this second book of The Chronos Files, we start off with a bang as Kate time travels back to a major historical event. I love Kate in this book as she's matured with experience in both her relationships and her time traveling wisdom, even if she's still coping with the linear aspect of time travel. But then, who isn't? Author Rysa Walker has written one of the most brilliant concept [...]

    3. When I read Timebound, the first book of The CHRONOS Files trilogy, I was blown away, my socks were knocked offI loved it. As I read book 2, I didn't feel the same excitement or enchantment. When I finished I had to think: why didn't I feel the same way? Time's Edge is a good book, I like the characters and it has a great idea behind the story. Why did this book affect me differently? The thrill behind Timebound is the excitement of discovery: Kate learning who she is and how powerful her skills a [...]

    4. I recently finished the first book of this series, 'Time Bound.' I gobbled it up. This book was no different. I shoveled it in without swallowing. I couldn't put it down. We get more time travel, new time lines, people who are different because the time line has changed. It was intriguing and fun. The first book took us to the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair stocked with the serial killer H. H. Holmes. This one we takes us to the assassination of JFK, and the campaign trail of Roosevelt. Walker picks s [...]

    5. Lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of this via NetGally for an honest review. Unlucky enough to love this series so much that now I've gotta wait even longer than everyone else for the final installment. First world book addict problems? My overall impression of Time's Edge: I really liked it, but wow there was a LOT going on. I actually have to hand it to the author for not going completely cross-eyed while writing this one. So many timelines, so much jumping, so much action. If you haven't [...]

    6. If you have not read book one, Timebound, Stop now, this will have spoilers for book one, and you have to read book one to be able to understand this one. This is part of an ongoing storyline in a series.I have been extremely impressed with this series , since I first started book one, then read Times Echo, a novella. This one is just as exciting if not more than the first. Kate is torn between 2 men, one who loves her (Kiernan) , but she doesn't remember (other timeline that got changed) and Tr [...]

    7. Holy moly. Is Rysa Walker the queen of cliffhangers, or what? Discovering the series has derailed so much in my life this week already and now it seems I’ll be forced to finish the next installment before I can even think of getting anything else accomplished. I usually experience a bit of a slump with second installments, but nope. Not with this one. It’s true that the plot of this installment required a bit more concentration on my part, just because the story is constantly progressing and [...]

    8. After I finished reading this I reread Timebound, then Time's Echo and now I'm rereading this one. And I am looking forward to #3. I am very much enjoying this series.

    9. Book review from my blog: acrossthewords/2014/10/04/4.5/5 starsA few weeks ago, I posted a Waiting on Wednesday post and I basically gushed about the upcoming release of Time’s Edge by Rysa Walker. Luckily I was able to get my hands on an ARC of this through Netgalley and I am so glad that I did! I loved the first book in the Chronos Files series, Timebound, and after reading it I needed to know what happened next to all of the characters. The Chronos Files follows the story of sixteen year old [...]

    10. *ARC provided by the publisher via NetGalley, 4.5 starsSince reading Timebound in the beginning of the year, I was anxiously awaiting the second book and I was lucky to receive an ARC from NetGalley. The second book didn't disappoint. It's a well written story that has all the right ingredients for a great read: clever plot, strong female lead character, major conflict with some really evil guys, and a love triangle. Kate, the main protagonist, is strong and independent teenager who doesn't wait [...]

    11. The book started out extremely promising and for the first 100 pages I actually believed I was going to enjoy it more than the first one. However, the book became stale and dull after that first 100 pages and I found myself not very excited to read it. It took me a lot more days to finish this than I would have liked. I will read the third book when it comes out, just out of curiosity on how it wraps up the series, but I won't really be recommending this series to anyone in the near future. The [...]

    12. Re-Read, 9/28/15So, I re-read this in preparation of reading books #2.5 & 3 for the first time. I loved it just as much as I did the first time I read it! There is still so much story going on, and I loved seeing the little things I missed the first time around (such as when Kate mentions the (view spoiler)[wedding band on Other-Kate's hand (hide spoiler)] to Kiernan and makes him swear an oath on it!) I don't know if it just caught me at the right time or what, but the event that hit me the [...]

    13. THIS book isn't even out yet, and I WANT the next one!!! I hate waiting!! Finished ~ Time's Edge (Timebound 02) by Rysa WalkerCompleted 9/194.5 of 5 stars452 pagesExpected Publication ~ Oct 21I received this book from NetGalley for my honest review.Time's Edge is the 2nd book in Rysa's Timebound series. The hard part about this review will be balancing telling you how awesome this book is, without giving anything away.To read this, you must first read Timebound, without doing so, you'd be hopele [...]

    14. When I heard that the second book in the CHRONOS files series was in the making, I couldn't fight the urge of getting an ARC copy. I humbly thank Rysa Walker and Netgalley for providing me with one. If you don't have a clue what this series is about, please check my review on the first book in the series --> Click me! You simply cannot go into the second book without reading the first because you would be immensely confused! I mainly respect Rysa Walker as an author because of her amazing wri [...]

    15. Just as exciting as the first. Still love Kiernan. Waitingwaitingwaitingr him to get his chance. You know I love a guy with an accent and his is pretty dreamy. Adore him. Love jumping into the past and seeing historical events in a new light.

    16. Can't wait for the next book!!I feel in love with the first book time bound. the history with in it is fascinating. the story line keeps you riveted to the book.

    19. *ARC received from publisher via NetGalleyI loved this sequel, it was AMAZING! Such a brilliantly complex and unique time travel novel, combining action, suspense, impeccable historical research, and a dose of romance. What makes this book unique is the plot, with the focus on the Cyrists, a religious group founded by Kate's grandfather Saul in order to create a new world with him in power. A good portion of the world is now part of this religion, even the President due to time traveling Cyrists [...]

    20. Rebooting The Past To Save The FutureThis series must be read in order. The first book is Timebound (The Chronos Files Book 1). The second book is Time's Echo: A CHRONOS Files Novella (The Chronos Files). This is the third book.Kate is disoriented much of the time Between trying to recover her relationship with Trey (who doesn't remember her due to the last time shift) and convincing Kiernan they should NOT pick up where he and the OTHER KATE left off It's a nightmare! Her world is topsy turvy b [...]

    21. The second Chronos Files book, "Time's Edge" details Kate's continued fight against the Cyrists, a religious cult organized (and manipulated) by her grandfather Saul and Aunt Prudence. The Cyrists - time travelers like Kate - have made themselves rich and strong through certain stock predictions and political manipulations that have reshaped history. Now a wealthy, powerful group, they are predicting a "culling" of all but the faithful, an apocalypse designed to wipe out any who do not believe. [...]

    22. I was given an ARC copy of this book from in exchange for a review. NOTABLE QUOTE: "You know, this would be a lot easier to get used to if you had to go back to your TARDIS or whatever before you disappeared." REVIEW:Okay, wow, just WOW! This book really did a good job of confusing the crap out of me but still entertaining me beyond belief! I am in love with this series! Yes, back when I read the first book I was questioning my opinion of it. Self-published authors? You really never know what y [...]

    23. Wow!! I seriously have goosebumps all over from that ending!! Way to leave us NEEDING that last book right NOW! In this second book of The Chronos Files, we start off with a bang as Kate time travels back to a major historical event. 24. After finishing the first book in this series, Timebound, I immediately sought out this book, because we were all left wondering what will happen between Katie and Trey, and Kiernan. Now that Katie has achieved the goals she and her grandmother had to re-set the timeline, there is still the very urgent need to do something about Saul and the Cyrists. In this book, Katie must use all of her wits to try to stay one step ahead of the Cyrists, but also juggle the past and the present without making [...]

    25. 3.5 starsTime's Edge was an okay follow-up to Timebound, but I didn't love it as much as book one or the first novella. The story was just too hard to follow and I was confused for a good part of the book.I did love the ending, though, and it makes me want to continue the series ASAP. One thing I'm still so curious about is WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THAT RING!? Oh, and regarding the love triangle -- Kate has to end up with Kiernan. This book cemented that relationship for me. :)*I received a compli [...]

    26. I feel like I am in the minority here but I was not as into this one as I was the original. I think perhaps it was because in the first one Kate was just learning everything herself so we learned along with her and now in this second book she is a time travel expert of sorts and I still feel like a novice. I don't know what happened but I just didn't connect with this as much as I did the first time around. I still really like the whole concept and I also think the characters are well drawn out. [...]

    27. Audio4 1/2 StarsWhat??!! I just can't get enough of this world and these characters. Rysa has done a fantastic job continuing with the story she created in TimeBound. Even though there is 'other Kate' from a different timeline that doesn't exist anymore, and 'other Trey' who doesn't remember ever meeting Kate in this timeline, and the fact the there are time hops back and forth constantly, it's still fairly easy to follow along and not get confused. The ending literally had me yelling out loud. [...]

    28. The premise of these, is, like, what if L. Ron Hubbard was a sinister time traveler and also your grandfather, and you have to jump around in time to stop him. This one had some weird current pop-culture references (which I don't love in contemporary lit, since it really dates you), or maybe the last one did too and I just forgot, but it's not THAT big of a deal.Time travel is hard, and that's essentially what this book is about - the intricacies of being a time traveler. They're very fun.
