    1.  With each book of Karey's that I have read I have come to love her writing more and more.  I haven't read her first book Gifted yet but plan to. (I just saw it on my bookshelf yesterday when I was cleaning).  I really liked For What It's Worth and loved My Own Mr. Darcy. I also loved her novellas - Maggie's Song & Lost and Found. I was really excited to hear she had a new book coming out.I loved the concept behind the story-line of The Husband Maker. I was lucky to be one of the first p [...]

    2. Are you kidding me! I can't believe it ended like that 4.5 stars because I'm still trying to figure out why it had to turn out that way and the next book in the trilogy is still months away! It sucked me into thinking the love is great, Kyle is great, Angus is great and then spit me out at the end

    3. Did this author stalk my life or what??? Only I am the one who decided I was the husband maker, and I often tell my friends if anyone is looking for their someone, all they need to do is date me Which is why I had to read this book. In one sitting. And I can't believe I am left hanging!! Oh the agony!I loved this story. I loved the characters. It touched my heart, and I could feel everything Charlotte did. I cried and cried at certain parts too, it all was entirely too real to me. I have never r [...]

    4. This review was also published on Babblings of a Bookworm: babblingsofabookworm. Charlotte is a real romantic; she wants a man to fall madly in love with her and settle down with her forever. But in reality, this doesn’t seem to be happening. In fact, the men that Charlotte dates ARE settling down and getting married, but it always seems to be to whoever they start dating after they break up with her.She is not alone in noticing the pattern, in fact, at her latest ex-boyfriend’s wedding, she [...]

    5. Huh. Not sure what to write about this one.So, I knew going into it that this had an unconventional ending and knowing the plot, I had my guard up pretty much the whole time I was reading this. I kept waiting for something to happen, but to be honest nothing much does. I did like that it was unique and even though I hated the ending, I have to give the author props for going for it. The rest will have to be spoilers, read once you’ve read the books for yourself. (view spoiler)[Charlotte has th [...]

    6. I have to say first that I am team Angus all the way. I so want Charlotte with Angus. That being said I see this as a journey for Charlotte, a completion of self in where she sees who she is and what she desires. I did feel horrible over Kyle. That was such a sweet, kind, gentle, caring guy but his goals and Charlotte's were not the same. They loved each other enough and respected each other enough to let go. So so sad.The writing is captivating. Ms. White has woven a that is just to good to pas [...]

    7. I knew from the first chapter that I was in for a great chick lit storyd I sure wasn't wrong about that! I loved every minute of it, right up until the cliffhanger ending. I'm so glad the next book isn't far from being released because I'm DYING to know what happens next!Charlotte puts up with a lot from her family and friends--from embarrassing nicknames to hurtful names--yet, she remains a positive, kind, and beautiful person. Her twin brother and their best friend, Angus, love to tease her an [...]

    8. I love Karey White and I love this book. She creates characters you can't help but love and writes in a way that pulls you in. Can't wait for the next one!

    9. This book is the first in a series of three books featuring Charlotte, the Husband Maker, as the main character. In this book, Charlotte accepts that her boss sets her up with a friend of hers, Kyle. Kyle is everything Charlotte has ever wanted, but will it be enough to make their relationship last? These books have to be read in order, since they are following one another. I don't think you can read this book as a stand-alone, because you will certainly want to know what will happen next. The whol [...]

    10. I received The Husband Maker in return for an honest review as part of the tour hosted by I Am A Reader book tours. Charlotte hasn’t had luck finding the right guy but every guy she’s dated has ended up married to the next girl he dates after her. She’s been called the “husband maker” because even the ones who aren’t ready to settle down do with the next one. Charlotte is hesitant when her boss pushed her to date one of her husband’s friend, but decides to give it a shot.Charlotte [...]

    11. I had to take an emergency trip to Arizona this past week and while I never read in the car, I couldn't put this book down. The romance was so good! I loved the main character, Charlotte, and the men in her life were so well-rounded, quirky, and fun. It was a page-turner for sure. When we meet Charlotte, she is at a wedding reception for her old boyfriend. In the ladies room, she overhears some women talking about her being there and then they discuss her nickname, "The Husband Maker" because eve [...]

    12. My mom had this audio book on her Itunes so I had to pirate it :). Kidding. I bought it for her on her Itunes so I could listen to it. My kids and I went on vacation last week and this was the book I put on during the drive. I couldn't get enough. I started this one on the way to our destination, and on the way home. I shouldn't have done that because I listen to the other two the next day after getting home. I really enjoyed listening to this.Charlotte, is a girl that doesn't seem to have very [...]

    13. This review was originally posted at Corazones Literarios This book was provided by the author through IamRBT in exchange of a honest reviewIs very difficult to me to not to write this without spoilers. I usually don’t give spoilers in my reviews, I try very hard; I also use to large the review, although that I don’t have very much to say, and only write couple of lines or just the rating. But with this book is a mix of both. I mean, I really want to say so much, but at the same time I don [...]

    14. So very current, so today! This is a modern, quirky tale that will draw you in with its witty comment on contemporary romance. The protagonist's self-depreciating manner of poking fun at herself while still managing to keep the readers respect and get them rooting for her happiness is another aspect of this novel that translates into easy reading and totals into an un-out-downable read. Charlotte is the 'Husband Maker', every guy she dates turns into someone else's husband by the very next date. [...]

    15. My Take:4 Stars!I LOVED this book! As you can tell just from this excerpt, it has it's humor, for sure! (The excerpt is at bit/UmWG3b)I happen to LOVE Property Brothers TV show, and I was 'dying' of laughter when I first read that! Then the remark about Charlotte's Web! There are so many more through the book, but you can't help but to feel sorry for Charlotte. Then the tag name of 'The Husband Maker'. That, she hates! Nicknames she hates. Will she ever, and the emphasis is on ever, get her own [...]

    16. Last year I read My Own Mr. Darcy by Karey White and was immediately taken in by the sweet romance of a woman trying to find her own happily ever after. So, I jumped after the chance to read her latest book The Husband Maker. While there is no Mr. Darcy, or anyone that resembles him, this book will be sure to appease everyone who has ever had trouble finding Mr. Right.Charlotte is called "The Husband Maker" because after every breakup her ex ends up finding "Mrs. Right" in his next relationship. [...]

    17. If you are looking for a high speed, giddy romance you won't find it in this book. But that doesn't mean it's not a good read. Quite the contrary. I enjoyed this clean, "find yourself" romance. The characters are very likeable. I had to keep reading to see if she finally got the guy. And if not, was he the one who ended it or was she, and why? Kyle seemed perfect so I couldn't see a reason he would end things. I thought they were going to make it, except that there are two more books in the seri [...]

    18. This is the second book by Karey White that I've read. Being a fellow husband-maker myself I was intrigued by the plot. It's an overall cute story, however there's something about Karey's writing that I'm just struggling with. I had these issues with the first book I read and I had the same problems again. I'm craving more detail and more emotion. I can't help feeling like everything is just summarized. Even though Kyle and Charlotte's relationship is adorable I had a hard time really grasping i [...]

    19. 3.5 starsDid I enjoy this book: This was a cute book. It was sweet, quick, romantic. I read it every free chance I had and finished it in a day.I enjoyed The Husband Maker. It was a sweet romance. It was clean, happy, a bit predictable, but a good read. It made me happy. It had me glued to my Nook from beginning to end. I felt bad for Charlotte because of her track record. She seemed like a great girl. I hated her nicknames. The poor girl. I can only imagine what she went (goes) through because [...]

    20. Charlotte already has embarrassing nicknames. Her twin brother and his best friend call her Chuck and Chuckers and Charles every chance they get. But at a wedding reception for an ex-boyfriend Charlotte overhears someone call her a nickname she never wants to hear again: The Husband Maker. Every guy Charlotte's ever dated has gone on to marry their next girlfriend. So begins this fun novel that was funny and sweet and made me want to run out and get the next book. (Yes, this is a series so don't [...]

    21. I really, really enjoyed this bookup until the ending. It was abrupt & then had a cliffhanger ending- which I don't really like. Overall, the characters were likeable. Charlotte cracked me up and I loved being inside her head. Kyle was just perfect. I enjoyed watching them try to make their relationship work, despite the odds and outside stresses. The author did a good job weaving the other characters into the story, enough to where I really hope they are in future books so I can see what ha [...]

    22. This is one book when I got to the last page, I said, What!!!!!!! noooooo- can't wait for the next book to find out what happens. I just can't imagine that Kyle could actually find someone he wanted to marry in 6 months and get engaged. I read without stopping because I found this book too good to put down. A young lady finds herself dating and everyone she does ends up marrying someone else. She has become know as the husband maker. This troubles her but doesn't stop her from trying to find he [...]

    23. 4 1/2 stars for the massive cliffhanger. This was such a fun book to read, with quite an intriguing story line. Charlotte's journey in the dating world is sometimes funny to read and sometimes hard. With such a past, you can't help but root for her and Kyle, and secretly hope this time will be different, cringing at the direction it takes the more time they spend together. On the other hand, I felt like Gibbs slapping her for how blind she is to what's right under her nose. I knew this was the fir [...]

    24. 4.5 stars. I'm a fan of Karey's. I loved both The Gift and My Own Mr. Darcy. So I was really looking forward to her newest book. I wasn't disappointed. Karey has a way of writing these characters that throw you into a maelstrom of emotion because you're not sure who you're rooting for - or even why, sometimes. I thought I knew where this story was going and I was wrong. I can't tell you who I wanted Charlotte to end up with because it will give away the story. I am looking forward to the sequel [...]

    25. everything Karey has written I have truly enjoyed and this book is no exception. I THOUGHT I knew how the book was going to endbut boy was I wrong! In fact, there is a cliffhanger so it is good that there is going to be a book to follow this called The Match Maker. I would have been so upset if there was no follow up book to explain this ending.ough now that I think about it I think I know the person in question.I also like that these are clean books - the biggest thing is heavy kissing, and the [...]

    26. PG - Sex: some kisses, no sex, Violence: no violence, Language: no swears.Book 1 of 3 in Karey White's "The Husband Maker" series and there IS a wicked, wicked Cliffhanger.I LOVED this book, cliffhanger and all. I didn't realize it was a trilogy - I probably would have waited for the third book to come out (reported to be Feb 2015) before I started. As it is, I have fallen into Charlotte's world and loved my time there. I laughed quite a bit, and shed quite a few tears - it's been a long time th [...]

    27. The premise behind this book was too intriguing to pass up. I really like Charlotte and her ability to eat real food and be okay with it. I like that she is tall and owns it, but still tries to be inconspicuous. I like that she knows herself and makes no apologies for it. I like that she has the courage to do what is best for herself and those she loves. This book was sweet and clean. The ending left me curious and wondering, so I already downloaded and started reading the second book. I was kin [...]

    28. Super cute book. Charlotte (or Chuck, Charlie or Chuckers to her twin brother and his friend) has not been lucky in love. In fact, when she overhears two ladies refer to her as the Husband Maker in the restroom, based on her dating history of every single one of her boyfriends going on to marry the next girl they date after breaking up with her, she despairs of ever finding Mr. Right. When her boss sets her up with a friend, she isn’t prepared to lose her heart again, but that’s exactly what [...]

    29. Okay, this book was full of emotion and great to read until the end. If I didn't know there was going to be another book and I didn't think that Charlotte had been tortured enough But I also like Angus and that's got to be the direction the series is taking. I loved Kyle! The perfect guy! But like Charlotte's dad said, some times love isn't enough. Will, Gina, Mia and Aleena are all fun characters too. Good clean read, but make sure you can move right on to book 2 or you'll feel like you are han [...]

    30. I LOVED this book. Couldn't put it down. The characters were wonderful, as was the conflict. I found myself really wanting Charlotte to end up with a certain guy, but I was happy with the guy she was dating. It made for an interesting dynamic throughout the book. I loved the entire book until the end. It left me frustrated because of the cliff hanger. This is a book I'd recommend to any romantic at heart, but I would recommend waiting until the next one comes out before you read this one. Then y [...]
