    1. loved this authors way with words. It was hard to set this book down you just wanted to know what was going to happen. Missionary work was involved in karen gage's babtism. English culture and values were scattered throughout. great read. I want to get all this authors books. especially this series.

    2. Poorly written, I'm sorry to say. The characters are completely predictable, and the plot only slightly less so. I only read it because of a recommendation and a friend said they made a good movie out of it. The ending is enjoyable though, as all the characters come together for a final dinner and wrap-up of the story. I did like the ending.

    3. This continues the story but with the main characters being the son of Elisabeth of the first book. Roulstone writes an easy book to read. Nice to find books that are interesting but not spell-binding. I suppose this series could be considered simple because the characters are pretty transparent and consistent, but I find that sometimes best meets my reading needs.

    4. I enjoyed reading this book and thought that the book had a good dramatic plot. A little slow moving in some parts and I wish some events were talked about more in-depth instead of skimmed over. Overall, a pretty good read!

    5. I surprisingly enjoyed this book. I didn't read the first book in the sequel, but it didn't seem to matter. I liked that the author addressed LDS doctrine unlike some LDS books that only seem to have LDS characters so that the book can be sold to the LDS market. It was an easy, fun read.

    6. GSB 2of 3. Ken Sanderson Elizabeths son goes to England to try to get rpicless ruby ring- Falls in love withKaren - Gage.

    7. Pretty good- a little too convenient of an ending, but I am interested in the next book. It's set up to be a rather good revenge plot.
