    1. I have to say book one was a pretty good read. It held my attention and I looked forward to starting book 2. So far about 75% thru book 2 I have been surprised at how fast they declare love and then the sloooow burn after the fact. They still have not gone beyond kissing. While I do understand the reasoning regarding her past it still just seemed backwards. The story seems to have gotten off track as well. So while I can recommend the first book, I am stopping where I'm at in the series. The rea [...]

    2. I was iffy about this story line not revolving around Lilly and Brand since I just love those two!!! But Mason and Jess quickly showed why this series was based around them. The characters SJ West has created are so amazingly cool! Angels, Lucifer, God, Werewolves even Vampires? What more could a girl ask for! Well maybe for this to be a very very long movie with both the trilogy and chronicles combined!!! duh! lol.

    3. Interesting premise of Angels in this book and the tear. I liked the characters - especially Faison. Mason was dark and mysterious, but Jess and Mason seemed to fall in love too quickly - especially given how long Mason has lived and all of his guilt. Despite liking the story, the writing lost a star for the terrible editing - incorrect use of there/their/they're and you're and your - which are some of my biggest pet peeves. Also a lot of misspellings like taunt versus taut.

    4. I didn't read the Watcher Trilogy but I like this series so far. Love me a good strong lead girl who doesn't take crap from anyone.

    5. Broken is a brilliant, exciting and enthralling story.Jess Riley thought she lost her parents in the Tear. Which in turn, made her become a watcher. With the hope that she will find them one day. A significant thing happens that quickly changes her life. Thrust into one of the chosen, whose destiny is basically to save the world. This was such a fantastic tale. I loved Brittany Pressley’s narration. Her voice just took over, and I found myself not being able to think of anything else. There’s [...]

    6. I love series that feature angels and near-apocalyptic scenarios and this one is no exception! I was so happy that I found it and took a chance to read it!!! I began "The Watcher Chronicles" series before ever reading the first series, "The Watchers," and was perfectly able to follow along; though the background knowledge from the proceeding would have made things a little clearer, it was not absolutely necessary to read it first.Having lost her parents when she was seven years old to the Tear- [...]

    7. BrokenThe Watcher Chronicles Book 1 By S.J. West12 July 2015After reading "The Watcher Trilogy" twice, back to back. I just had to read how everything was going to progress!!! I'm one of those readers that will read the entire series and then seek out anything the Author has also written. I'm very loyal, smile. I loved the way Author S. J. West smoothly transitions in to the next faze of her Watcher Series. With ease she effortlessly delves into the the lives of new characters, while continuing [...]

    8. I love these booksIt took me less than 24 hours to finish this book and I cannot wait to start the next. I didn't know how I'd take the transition from the Trilogy to the Chronicles but it was easy. These characters were just as, if not more likable than the originals and the originals do make their appearances. This romance is so much more believable and I really like Mason. Jesse's awkwardness is adorable and relatable. And the endI'll just say I can't wait to start the next one!

    9. Amazing series! I didn't notice that I started reading the 2nd series installment until I was at book 3! But I'm just going to have to finish all the way to "Redemption" and then start with book 1 when I'm done because I just can't seem to stop until I find out how it all ends. S.J. West is a FABULOUS AUTHOR!!! If you enjoy the Angels/demons genre, then you MUST READ THIS SERIES!!! But start with "Cursed" (book 1 of Watchers trilogy). Awesome sauce!!!

    10. Loved itI really loved this book. I couldn't put it down. The storyline is really interesting and I'm excited to see where it goes in the next books. I really like the way this author makes you connect with her characters. I love her characters so much that I'm about to dive into book 2 right now!

    11. Watcher Tale ContinuesWest skillfully extends the WATCHER TRILOGY to fully expand characters between serials in BROKEN, Book 1 of THE WATCHER CHRONICLES. Humans become more than monkeys to the original seven archangels and become the vehicle of West to restore the importance of human souls. Enjoyable writing with a new twist. I'll keep WATCHING (reading) the tale.

    12. Can't get enough of this series. Working on becoming my 2nd fav authorI love the series and the character building. I love the way you grow to love Mason and see a different side of Jess and 'sp' Malcolm.

    13. I really like this companion series or extended series of the Watchers. This one leaves you with a cliff hanger ending though!

    14. Great story! I love how it picks up where the other series left off only it's another person's story. Glad to see there was a decent editor on this one too!

    15. RecomendedThe book is good reading and will maintain your interest the whole time. The ending will leave you wanting more!

    16. So glad I read thisMost of the time, I don't like spin off's. I happen to love this one though! I like the mystery this series promises!

    17. AwesomeAwesome book! I can't wait to read the next one! Definitely kept me wanting to read more, hooked me fast

    18. Very intriguing. I seeing Malcolm again. i think he's my favorite character of S.J. West's so far. Even though his personality has changed a little. Can't wait to continue with Jess's story though.

    19. I bought the 4 book box set and this review covers all of the books from that set.I was drawn into this series from the very beginning, and I couldn’t help but buy this box set to find out what happened next. I was so looking forward to finding out how Mason was going to break through Jess’s painful walls and how she was going to teach the scarred fallen angel how to forgive himself. The fact that they clashed so well from the start made the love story that much sweeter. To have Lucifer in t [...]

    20. I am on chapter 13. Lucion and identity was easy to figure out. My only other prediction is xxxxxxxxx is related to xxxxxl and figured out a way to hide it. Happily I have either been too distracted while listening or the author hasn't given away too much too soon. I am enjoying the fact that I have not figured out the book yet. I was slightly wrong but the author left enough unknown that I did not guess her purpose and I like how she is linked an her challenge. The book reminds me of fallen. I [...]

    21. 2.5 starsI really liked parts of this book but I got so distracted from the good by all the bad.I felt like this book wasn't edited. At times, character names were swapped and nearly the exact same lines were repeated back to back. I wanted to scream I GET IT ALREADY, move on.But then, there would be big important scenes, with chapters of build up, and you'd feel like you were finally starting to get answers andene over. Just over. There really were some good bones to this book, but the filler f [...]

    22. I picked up this book because it was said to be a 'hot' book. Imagine my shock when there's not a single steamy a kiss or a sexy grope. Jokes on me. Downgraded for false advertising. While the book was nice, it was just too sweet for what is being called a 'hot' listing. It's as far from hot as I could imagine. I'm not sure why people are saying 17+. There's ZERO sex.Twilight aged readers will have no problems with this book. On the flip side, I did like the characters enough to continue reading [...]

    23. I basically read it in a day. Jess had a traumatic childhood, but it had made her the strong woman person that she needs to be. Mason seems great, but guarded and is sometimes an annoying tease if you ask me. I enjoy the adventure in this series and can't wait to read the next books to figure out the answers I seek from this one. It's a lot going on in the book, but it's perfectly broken down and comes together and each character is distinguishable.

    24. Cliché and still needs some editingThe ideas aren't necessarily bad. They are very cliché but the author mostly makes them work. It just means some of the intended drama and heartache held no impact for me, because I knew that was the way things would play out. I think the editor needs to give this another pass, to clean some obvious errors and some awkward structuring. For the most part, though, it was fine.

    25. This book turned out better than I though it would!I think everyone should give this book a try.Love how justice is handle in the hospital with her, I hope there is a special place for those types of people. I am so cheering Mason and Jess on!( now I have not read the before books to this, so I am a little off on some of this but it does not feel like im completely lost I will go back and read the first 3 later)
