    1. Born at Midnight ~This book was amazing! A great story with terrific characters! I was with it from beginning to end! Such a delightful read. It was very well paced and never really lagged. Loads of intrigue abut never seemed like too much.Kylie is a really genuine character that is easy to connect with. You really identify with her struggle to want to be normal and fit in, yet a yearning to be different and special. She is so engaging and not a typical angsty teen. Yeah!! A teen who faces drama [...]

    2. Actual Rating: 3.5 Stars. This book, well, actually books, were a shit load of shit storms with shitty shit things happening ALL THE FREAKING TIME. I could give you many examples but I've decided to leave the details out. My point: this was the queen of drama llamas. It wasyou could say, entertaining, it was just like watching a supernatural drama movie. It doesn't really leaves you a lesson, or get you overly fangirlic—well, except when Lucas or Perry show up—or really, anything. Except frust [...]

    3. YES! Just when I thought I was running out of great fantasy books and thinking that I wasn’t going to find another great series, I come across this little gem. I had bought this “2 Books in 1” version of Shadow Falls from Bookoutlet quite a few months ago, but for some reason I have waited until now to read the series. I can’t tell you guys how sad I am that I waited this long to start it. This series has me hooked in that way where your family is like “Sweetie, I think you have a prob [...]

    4. Kylie went to a 2-month summer camp and found herself actually somehow supernatural. She was trying to figure out what she was. And she also needed to deal with a hell lot of dramas that happened to her.I picked up this book was becausewellI have this 2016 summer reading list. I was suppose to start reading this book yesterday. I read YA supernatural. I love Cassandra Clare's books. However, I guess I am affected by The Mortal Instrument series a little too deep. I hate faes. Okay, let's not use [...]

    5. I just finished the first book BORN AT MIDNIGHT. I have to say that I really enjoyed it,, I read the new book that C.C. Hunter just published called REBORN, it was a spinoff of THE SHADOW FALLS books and I liked it that I just had to read the whole series. Now I am understanding some of the characters better now. Born at Midnight was what I expected it to be bit I still enjoyed it. Kylie is a girl who has special supernatural powers, but still can't figure out what they are. She is at a exclusiv [...]

    6. Alright, this series is an OCD nightmare. First of all, nothing is explained or answered -it all just leads to more questions. And the story drags on and on and ON! Then something cool will happen 350 pages in, last ten, maybe fifteen pages, then go back to dragging. And, honestly, I don't think Kylie should pick EITHER of these idiots. Derek's hissy fits are extremely annoying and Lucas is just not a believable character -or I should say, he's too much like a "character" and not enough like a n [...]

    7. It was decent for a YA book. If I was younger I may have liked it a lot better. Self discovery, friendships, love, everything a teen would normally go thru but only as a supernatural being. The first book was just ok the second book was much better.

    8. I love this book, absolutely everything about it. The characters are so well developed, the plot is amazing, the author describes everything perfectly. You know how you binge watch a show? I binged this book. It’s an excellent book and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

    9. I really loved this book! The writing style is easy and fluid. I could not put the book down but I had to here and there. I look forward to the next few books I must add to my collection. The story line just has me hooked and I honestly can not wait to figure out what is going to happen next!

    10. I'm not a fan of bind ups, at all. I prefer single books instead. Just had to say that. I liked it, and I'm looking forward to the next one. I will put more here later. Too tired now.

    11. Source: I own a a copy of this book but it will be donated.Note: These are my personal opinions. I received no out side person comments or opinions.I got 1/4 the way through the first book in this two in one book. I wanted so badly to like the book and this series. I've seen and read great reviews about this series and the spin off.I knew full well going in that the MC was a bit unlikable in the first two books and that it does get better but I just couldn't bring myself to read it. Not when the [...]

    12. What a thoroughly enjoyable pair of books! C.C. Hunter captured my interest from the beginning with Kylie's family and personal problems and her efforts to resolve them. It's a thoroughly enjoyable story that feels authentic to the teenage experience while keeping my interest with Kylie's exploration of her supernatural abilities. Though her quest to identify herself in the supernatural world seems to drag on, and her boy problems seem neverending, these two books do only cover a few weeks of on [...]

    13. OMG.I could not put this book downi was wondering what was gonna happen next and i wanted to know right away!!! i read this entire book in 3 days and i cannot wait to crack open the next one when i receive it!!! i should be getting the next one this week because i could not wait to buy it!!! the main character has won my heart and she did that from the first chaptereverything she went through, i felt like i was right by her side feeling everything she felt, going through everything she was going [...]

    14. I was definitely surprised by these books. Going into it, i believed all it would be was a corny, and badly written teen book. But i honestly really enjoyed it. I wouldn't say the writing was incredible, not even fantastic, but it got the point across and the story really intrigued me. I also used to hate love triangles, to me it was always obvious which boy or girl to choose, but in this story, i didn't know which boy i loved more. Reading more of the series has been a pleasure and i just start [...]

    15. I'm glad I bought this for 10$ rather than buying the first and second individually for 20$ because this book series is childish and horrible and uniteresting. It reminds me of the Immortals series. Please, pick up another book series to read. If you want something paranormal with a kick ass heroine, a fast plot, interesting/relate-able characters, romance, and action, I suggest you read the Soul Screamers series, because that is a hell of a lot better than this.

    16. Teen trash at its finest (I say this with much fondness). I am so happy I decided to pick this one up and give it a chance. I adored this book. Ready for the next one!

    17. i love it I liked how i caould go straight to the next book without haveing too weight for it. i cant weight for the next book so i can finish the serise.

    18. Kylie Galen is having a tough year. It started when her nana passed away, then her boyfriend dumped her, her parents split and her dad moved out. To celebrate the end of the school year, she went with her best friend to a party that ended up getting busted by the police. So, her mother decides to send her to Shadow Falls - a camp for troubled teens - for the summer. But the other kids at Shadow Falls aren’t delinquents, they’re supernaturals, and they believe that Kylie is too. While the res [...]

    19. LOVED this book. I bought it at B&N after reading a few pages. I had a good feeling about it & I was right. If you enjoyed The Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout, you will certainly enjoy this book! The writing style is very similar as well as the main characters. I am pleased that I automatically purchased the next in the series so I can simply dive right back in! Kylie (main character) is a humorous, confused, kind, and strong minded teen beginning to learn just how "special" she is. Am [...]

    20. This book contains Born at Midnight (Book #1) and Awake at Dawn (Book #2) from the Shadow Falls Series. I remembered really enjoying this series when I first read it several years ago and decided to reread it. Both books in this edition do a good job of introducing the story as well as introducing the readers to the world this series takes place in. I really liked all the different characters and seeing how they developed throughout these books as well as seeing how the various relationships cha [...]

    21. My friend got this book for her b-day and said i should read it and lets just say i am so glad i did i could not to put this book down and i ended up reserveing the whole series at the library and reading them all in around 2 weeks i love this book <3

    22. I loved this book, and so very happy that I found this series. I absolutely love it. And I am wanting to be at Shadow Falls with them. They are such great characters. And love the way Hunter writes. I would highly recommend it for sure hands down I would.I gave it an A+ or 5 stars.

    23. Some parts of this book were really great! But a lot of the time, the protagonists outlook on life was very negative and gloomy, which made the anticlimactic parts difficult to get through.

    24. Disgustingly sexist and judgmental. I contemplated leaving it off my read list. Decided to in order to warn off other readers.
