    1. I'm sorry i think this is one of those books that is only good when you are five. I didn't read it as a kid and looking at it now, it's not exactly treating kids like they are terribly smart. so this is an actual 2 stars of "it was ok" nothing to write home about.

    2. Adventures of Little Bear is a very charming book. Little Bear is a young bear cub who is very curious about life around him. He meets friends who share adventures with him. Little Bear was also a show that I very much cherished as a little girl.

    3. My preschool students loved this book. It talks about manners which three year olds definitely need to hear about!

    4. This Barnes & Noble compilation of three Little Bear books is a great example of an easy reader. Little Bear is written by Else Holmelund Minarik and illustrated by Maurice Sendak. The first book, Little Bear, introduces children to the main character, his mother, and his friends. The stories are silly and fun, and beginning readers will find the large text, brief sentences, repeating words and phrases, and deft illustrations easy to navigate. The other two books, Father Bear Comes Home and [...]

    5. Little Bear was cute. There were different stories in this book. One of the stories had him wearing a space hat. I liked that Little Bear had adventures. One of his friends was named Cat. One of his friends was called Hen. One of his friends was called Owl. One of his friends was called Duck. One of his friends was called Frog. He had a mother bear and father bear. They were very nice to him. I think kids my age should read this book.[reviewed by a 6 year old, typed by his Mama]

    6. Lydia March 2012Cute, but Mother Bear is mean. Also, why doesn't Little Bear have any carnivore friends? It must be a sign that I'm aging that the only thing I could think when the duck and the chicken showed up for soup at his birthday party was "He should put them in the soup!"

    7. Just the thing for relaxing after a hard day reading about statistical methods for genomewide haplotype analysis. Read it for the first time just now. Alas, the illustrations aren't nearly as bizarre as I was hoping from Sendak.

    8. This book is very cute and funny!!!!! There is one where little bear traveles to th moon. He is very surprised on how the moon looks!

    9. Such a great collection of early reader stories. I enjoyed because of the sights words from her lessons but Phoenix not such.

    10. I love the Little Bear stories. He's such a sweet liitle friend, and has an amazing imagination. A favorite of my kids.
